Florida Police Searching For Parents Who Killed Baby With Alcohol

1t_Vodka.jpgSwaddling. Rocking. Singing softly. The Miracle Blanket. I just came up with four things off the top of my head that help babies fall asleep. Funny – giving the kid vodka shots did not come to mind. Mackenson Dantus and Mardala Derival, however, took that route. Apparently they gave their 3-month daughter a Tom Collins everynight, and – surprise, surprise – the baby died. Now the two are on the lam.

Couple of things. The baby died last year, and the two were just charged on October 28th. So I’m wondering – wouldn’t an autopsy have been done at the time of death? And given that the baby had a .47 blood alcohol level, shouldn’t these two have been charged a bit sooner? And shouldn’t they have been in jail by now? Who’s running things down there – Sheriff Roscoe and his deputy Enos? And what’s up with the photo in the article?

Whatever. As this is south Florida, there’s a fair chance that Mackenson and Mardala will end up in the digestive tract of a local gator. Keep your fingers crossed!
