Trenton Duckett Case: New Witness Reports Seeing Melinda Twice, Trenton Once
Breaking news: A new witness has stepped forward in the Trenton Duckett case, claiming to have seen Melinda Duckett twice on the day before she reported her son missing. The woman, who from the descriptions sounds like a Wendy’s employee who was working the drive-thru, reported that Duckett went through the drive-thru twice that day. The first time around, she had Trenton; the second time, she didn’t.
What does this tell police? Not a hell of a lot, from what I can tell. I’m poking around to find a chronological timeline of that day to see how this report might mesh with it. Since no one is sure exactly when Trenton went missing, this report probably doesn’t add much to the narrative. It doesn’t solve the critical question of what Melinda might have done with her child. Given Melinda’s reticence when she was alive to divulge details of when Trenton exactly “went missing”, and her unwillingness to say what stores she had been at the day before he disappeared, Trenton’s final hours are still shrouded in mystery.
Does anyone know the last time Trenton was seen on the 26th by someone other than Melinda? Is this spotting at Wendy’s the last non-mom sighting? All that I’ve been able to gather is that no one saw Trenton on the 27th (which is strong evidence that Melinda knew damn well what happened to him). If the last known sighting is prior to this new witness’s sighting, then the new witness may have been the last person to see Trenton alive.
