Cult member beheads 6-year-old daughter
Why did she do it? Well, there are mentally ill people and then there is this woman, on an entirely new level of crazy.
Spann belonged to a cult that worshiped Tupac Shakur (yes the rapper). They believed Tupac was the reincarnation of the 16th century Italian philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli. *scratches head*
I find it difficult to believe there is anyone out there who might actually believe this, but it just baffles me that there were enough people to form an entire cult. I guess if you do enough drugs, you will believe anything, and she was doing A LOT of them.
One thing that bugs me about this story is Samara Laverne Spann’s father. It’s apparent he was aware of most of this. He has told reporters about Spann referring to her daughter as the “devil child”. He was also aware of her cult involvement.
If your daughter is doing serious drugs, worships a dead rapper and refers to her child as the “devil child”, it’s time to step in.

Ok this bitch is pyscho, she’ll only do a couple of years because she’s on drugs, she’ll go to rehab and be free again to worship some dead rapper…..people do not surprise me at all anymore….poor kid

Sounds like she watched the movie The Ring while high AND pregnant and decided to name her daughter after the devilishly bad Samara from the film….and her freakiness took off from there!

ok here’s the thing~ you have to have a liscence to drive, own a gun and get married~ you should have to e screened and take a test before you can even think about having kids! glad i found this site. it makes me so angry to think that people just throw kids away like they are trash.

What cult? I grew up listening to 2Pac and can remember where I was when I learned that he died (same thing w/Biggie), and I can say that beheading a child had NOTHING to do with anything Pac rapped about – or Machiavelli, for as far as I know. While I don’t believe in executing the mentally ill, and I DO believe there are some parents who truly are mentally ill when they kill their children, I don’t think this chick is one of ‘em.

Niccolò Machiavelli was an italian philosopher who specialized in faking soldiers deaths to get them out of going off to war. People beleive Tupac was a soldier and is still alive, and his death was faked so he could stop fighting the war that became his life.
P.S. Tupac was not a rappist and was a very peaceful loving guy, he wasnt charged with any counts of rape. And he was a very peaceful philosopher and to speak so ill of him shows that the only thing you know about him is he went to jail…This women did this because she was a NUT CASE. lol

I found this website and each case becomes more disturbing then the next, it breaks my heart that these children are tortured and killed by the people who out of anyone in the world, should love them more than life itself, yet they are the ones inflicting such horriblness on their children. If there is a hell these people belong in it.
I googled this woman and read that she plead guilty to the murder of her daughter and that the prosecutor is seeking a 23 year term.
Her daughter’s remains have never been found.
Samara Spann reportedly told a Sacramento friend that she thought her daughter was a demon: “This friend told her that if the child in fact was a demon, that the mother needed to cut its head off.”
