Microwave baby update: Also put in fridge, hotel room safe and punched in the groin

Joel

Father Joshua Mauldin 19-year-old father Joshua Mauldin has now also admitted to throwing his baby, placing her in the fridge and locking her in the hotel room safe before microwaving her.

Now him, his wife and his brother are all saying “the Devil made him do it.”

You know, I don’t even care if the Devil did tell him to do it. That is no excuse. “The Devil made me do it” is not a get out of jail free card.

Just praying and asking for your gods forgiveness isn’t going to be enough in this case. Joshua, you need to man up and serve your time like a man.

Last year Mauldin also pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery after hitting his pregnant wife. He has also been charged for violating a restraining order. Did “the Devil” make him do this as well?

For a man so easily controlled by “the Devil”, he should be locked up forever. You never know what “the Devil” is gonna make him do next.

Joshua remains in custody with bond set at $250,000.

Mother and Boyfriend Darcy Bannert Sexually Abused and Tortured Four-Year-Old Daughter

Joel

scared-girl.jpgIn Edmonton, Canada a four-year-old girl was sexually abused and tortured by her mom and her mother’s boyfriend, Darcy Bannert, 25. According to her testimony, Bannert sexually assaulted her in the bathtub, made her sit with him on the couch while he watched porn, and made her dance like a stripper.

She was also handcuffed by her feet in a dark basement and hit with a belt by her mother, 22, and Bannert. (The mother’s name is being withheld to protect the identity of the child.)

Eyewitnesses saw the girl handcuffed to a box, punched and slapped, and not being allowed a drink of water. One witness saw the child drank a mixture of Miracle-Gro liquid fertilizer and water because she was so thirsty. She also drank her own urine.

The mother and Bannert each face multiple charges including sexual offenses, assault causing bodily harm, pot growing, unlawful confinement, and causing a child to need protective services.

 Damn.

Microwave baby update: Devil made him do it, says wife

Joel

This story gets nuttier and nuttier. Thanks Patty for sending in this update!

The father, Joshua Mauldin, told police he put the baby in the microwave because he was under a lot of stress. He made no mention of the devil, just stress.

Refusing to believe her husband would do such a thing, she instead believes the devil made him do it. It’s amazing what the human mind is able to believe, what it’s able to deny and how it can fabricate its own reality.

Eva Marie Mauldin claims the devil made her husband put their baby in the microwave in order to thwart his efforts of becoming a preacher. If this was true, I would say he was successful. I would definitely not attend any church with a baby microwaving preacher!

Eva is currently fighting to custody of her baby back. Child Protective Services is fighting for the opposite. She would probably have had better luck, if she kept this little “devil made him do it” business to herself.

She sounds like a nut job and probably should not be raising any kids.

The baby girl is still in the hospital with third-degree burns to the left side of her face and left hand

What do you guys think? Yes or No, should she get custody of the baby? …

Neil Andrew Farkas Slams Girlfriend’s Toddler Into a Wall

Joel

neil-farkas.jpgNeil Andrew Farkas, 45, has been charged with inflicting an injury on a child, endangering a child or allowing a child to suffer, and commission of a felony resulting in great bodily injury for picking up his girlfriend’s 19-month-old son, skaking then slamming his head into the wall.

The toddler is in critical condition and has undergone surgery at UC Davis Medical Center.

Farkas told the police that he was watching the child while his mom was at work. The boy wouldn’t stop banging a cup against the wall and screaming, so he lost it and threw the kid against the wall. Nice.

About eight hours later, Farkas noticed that the boy was not breathing. He called the boy’s mother at work and told her the he had fallen out of bed.

Just looking at this guy, would you trust him to babysit your toddler?

Foster Mom Guadalupe Yolanda Gomez Convicted in Death of Four-Month-Old Dwight Hill

Joel

cocaine-baby.jpgIn Tucson, Arizon foster mother Guadalupe Yolanda Gomez will get 2 1/2 years in prison for the death of four-month-old Dwight Hill. The baby died of a skull fracture that caused bleeding in his brain and retinal hemorrhages.

ONLY 2 1/2 YEARS?!?

The jury decided Gomez didn’t knowingly or intentionally place the baby in a situation in which his life was in danger. However, they thought she behaved recklessly by not immediately seeking help for him when there were signs something was wrong with him.

Doctors believe the child suffered blunt force trauma to his head within three or four days of his death. Witnesses and Gomez said they began seeing changes in the baby’s behavior around that time – Dwight projectile-vomited and had loose stools. The next morning, Dwight’s eyes were rolling back in his head and he was hard to wake up. During a supervised visit with his biological parents, and they noticed the boy was lethargic and not eating well.

The baby was no better the next day. Case workers told Gomez that she should bring him into their clinic when she called with her concerns. For some reason, Gomez didn’t and set up a doctor’s appointment for two days later.

When the doctor examined the infant, he was dead.

Is this a case where there was true abuse or just a major fuck up? Gomez was and experienced and trusted foster mother. At the time she had Dwight in her care, Gomez was also a foster mother to his older sister and two other toddlers. She and her husband were also raising a 10-year-old biological child with cerebral palsy.

That’s five kids total. Could she had been too busy to notice how badly he was doing? That and the fact that Dwight was a premature baby born with cocaine in his system, and others had access to him during time of his injuries is probably why she’s getting off lightly. Sounds like poor Dwight never had a chance.

19-year-old man arrested after putting 2-month-old daughter in microwave

Joel

Joshua Mauldin lied to the hospital workers. He claimed the burns to his 2-month-old baby was just a simple accident, made when carrying a pot of hot water. Why he thought he could pass this lie off at Shriners Burns Hospital, I’ll never know. I’m pretty sure if your specialty is burns, you can tell the difference between hot water and microwave burns pretty easily.

What actually happened was, this monster placed his 2-month-old baby girl in the microwave and turned it on for 10-20 seconds until she suffered third-degree burns on her face and hands.

That is some serious cold blooded sh*t. This is far worse than getting angry and hitting your child. He had to pick her up, go to the kitchen, place her inside the microwave and set it to cook while leaving her inside. How sick must your mind be for you to actually think up this crap?

Well, the people over at MyDeathSpace.com have found Joshua Mauldin’s MySpace profile. For someone who claims to be a Christian and talks about accepting God as his personal savior, his actions are seriously misaligned with what he preaches.

This charge carries a possible prison term of up to 99 years. I hope this piece of trash gets the maximum.

Father accused of murdering 14-month-old daughter

Joel

13267527_240×180.jpg32-year-old, Rod Vanloan, has had a history of abusing his 14-month-old baby girl. Rod was originally accused of child endangerment when he brought his baby girl, Alexis Board, to the hospital.

She died the next day. The charges have since been upgraded to murder.

Previous police reports have been filed. Even the grandmother knew of the history of abuse. Unfortunately nothing was done that could have saved this child.

Hopefully this piece of work will be locked up for life.

Such a beautiful baby too.

Thanks to everyone who sent in this article. It comes with an important PSA, which I think is a very important message that needs to be spread…

Local experts said cases related to frustrated parents are on the rise.

Dr. Kathi Makoroff with Children’s Hospital said, “Don’t touch that baby until you’re really calmed down or call somebody to come help you to care for the baby while you take a longer break.”

Alexis’ mother, Crystal Board, is jailed at the Hamilton County Justice Center, awaiting trial on an abuse charge for a girl she was babysitting.

Alex and Molly Midyette Finally Charged in 2006 Death of Their Infant Son Jason

Joel

alex-and-molly-midyette.jpgThis one has been a long time coming. Six months after the grand jury was impaneled, and nearly 14 months after 10-week-old Jason Midyette was taken off life-support and died, Louisville, Colorado parents Alex and Moly Midyette have been charged with a seven-count indictment for child abuse in connection with Jason’s death.

The father, Alex Midyette, 27, is charged with inflicting numerous injuries on his son including 27 broken bones and a fractured skull. Alex is also charged with placing the baby in harm’s way, and waiting too long to seek medical help.  The mother, Molly Midyette, 28, is charged with putting her son in harm’s way and waiting to seek medical help.

During the baby’s autopsy the coroner disovered that his frenulum, the tissue that connects the gum to the lip, was ripped. This usually happens when someone forces a bottle or pacifier into a child’s mouth. Jason also had bruises. Grand jury testimony shows that the baby was suffering for at least three days from his injuries although autopsy findings show Jason’s fractures were in various stages of healing meaning that not all of his injuries occurred at the same time.

Alex and Molly Midyette will be monitored by electronic home ankle bracelets and have been barred from being around children, including family members, less than two years old.
