Tamera Jo Freeman Gets Drunk, Hits Kids, and Assaults Attendant on Flight from San Francisco to Denver
A loaded Tamera Jo Freeman, 38, hit and cursed at her children and assaulted a Frontier Airlines flight attendant during a flight from San Francisco to
Denver.
Passengers told the FBI that Freeman was drinking heavily before and during the flight. She spent the flight cursing, terrozing and neglecting her two-year-old son and four-year-old daughter because they wouldn’t let her watch a movie in peace.
Witnesses said Freeman hit the children on their legs, shoulders and knees, and appeared drunk and violent toward the kids before she boarded. They also said the children tried to hide on the floor to get away from their mom, and were scared and crying.
Passengers sitting near Freeman alerted the flight attendants and when one approached her, she began yelling, telling the flight attendant to mind her own business and get her some more booze. When she was told that she was cut off, Freeman threw a drink at the flight attendant.
The flight attendant asked a corrections officer who was on the plane to sit near Freeman. Then she grabbed a roll of duct tape and stood near the drunken mom to prevent her causing trouble. The captain radioed ahead to have police meet the plane.
Freeman was arrested when the plane landed in Denver, and is being held for investigation of interference with a flight crew and assault on children. She told authorities that she lost her temper and smacked her kids because they were fighting and spilling drinks.
Freeman faces up to 21 years in prison and fines up to $350,000 if convicted. Terrorizing her kids, terrorizing the flight attendants. Why wasn’t this woman on the terrorist watch lists?

Are you kidding? What idiot wrote this article? The story itself is bad enough if it is true (I’ve read other versions), but to say she should be on a terrorist watch list! I sure hope that was sarcasm. Otherwise this country is heading straight down the shi**er. And if I have to point out the reasons why she shouldn’t be on a watch list: nevermind. what a horrible woman, she should be exacuated for for hitting these treasures. i think all single women with children boarding a plane with small children should be screened to the max and the children removed from their presence placed in a part of the plane away from adults for their on protection. i am part of a society that believes that children of today are in great danger of being raised by this generation of mothers. please take this womans kids away from her and let this be a warning to all mothers that abuse their children.

SfDude if at any point you read the web sleuths article, you must have been appalled at what
happened to Kaleb. Want to know something? He is my Nephew and at no point was I afraid for
his life during the “kidnapping”.
He initially was taken by CPS because of the following incident: My sister, Crystal was taking
a shower getting ready to go to work. Her fiancee was supposed to be watching Kaleb but fell
asleep on the couch because he works two jobs.
Kaleb wandered into the backyard which is completely fenced in and does not have a pool.
Crystal got out of the shower, did not see Kaleb and promptly panicked calling the police to
help her search for him (before considering looking out back).
At no point was Kaleb in any danger. Matter of fact they frequently let him play out back and
watched him play from the window.
The police showed up with a CPS agent (apparently she had been available and volunteered to
come along because she was worried supposedly).
When the LEOs got to the scene the CPS agent demanded to take Kaleb into custody despite there
never being any danger.
Kaleb went into custody and Crystal had to attend parenting classes and only got supervised
visits on weekends. After several months they allowed him to stay with her and CPS would check
in regularly about every other day.
Before this Crystal had no criminal record and was a good worker. Anyway she had broken up with
her fiancee because of the event. Her fiancee started threatening her and Kaleb. Fearing he
would hurt Kaleb or her out of anger, she fled the state with Kaleb.
Later she met with a long time friend in the state me and my parents had moved to. she had
known him for some years. The police had put out a warrant for her so she asked him to take
Kaleb for a while and he did.
The police having no leads thought to check my house. They literally BURST in the door without
so much as probable cause that Crystal may have been at our house (despite the fact otherwise,
and despite her not visiting us once since arriving).
They stuck a GUN in my step-fathers face in front of my 3 year old brother and threatened my
mother to tell them were crystal is (which my mother did not know).
A CPS agent showed up and began to scream at my mother, mouthing profanities again in front of
my brother, SHOVED my mother nearly in the wall (who was pregnant with quad girls) when my
mother went to pick up the phone within a foots reach to call our lawyer.
After about ten minutes of discussion they released my father and arrested my mother because
the CPS agent was aggravated that she did not know where crystal was. Our house was broken into
without a warrant illegally, guns were drawn in front of a child by the police on a man that
neither owns a weapon nor is known to be armed, a pregnant women was shoved and denied the
right of attorney, then without reason she was arrested.
While in jail she was denied a double-mattress (which is required and was ordered by a Doctor).
Later when she gave birth, what was initially supposed to be quads turned out to be twins
because two died during birth, which the Doctor delivering the children, upon a followup visit
and considering all factors, attributed to not only being denied proper bedding, but also being
denied an extra doctor-ordered milk during mealtime in jail. In addition when interrogating her
she was shoved several more times, denied a phone call, mail, and the right to an attorney.
My mother was in jail for three months. For the first week they interrogated her the police
would not sign her in so bond could not be set. Also for this week they denied her medical care
and attempted to coerce her into a “confession” in exchange for medical care.
When Crystal was caught and arrested she was treated in a similar manner. When Kaleb was found
and everyone was able to go before the judge, the judge scoffed, granted Crystal legal custody
again and had my mother released. When we went to file suit a week later no Lawyer
would touch the case, partly because a lot of the abuses happened after police officers turned
off the camera in the interrogation room.
We dropped the suit when we started getting anonymous calls threatening the family if we
pressed charges against CPS or the Police.
Want to know why I don’t like CPS or the state? Well there it is…and that is not even the tip
of the iceberg. :\

weighing upon us. You and I know this isn’t about flaming.
This is a discussion between civilized people, or people trying to be civilized, and if we wish

Be civilized, this is a public comment area/forum and everything you post anyone can read.
If you wish to make a point, such as myself, perhaps post a list of bulleted items validating your opinion on why you believe this article is not bias. Alternativaly, post an anectidote again like I have done, instead of resorting to ad hominem attacks.
SfDude if you truly care for children you will attempt to make a sound and valid argument. While emotional plays and attacks of character make for good arguments in the short-term, you will not effect change in the Law without a firm offensive.
This is *the* reason for internal discourse, discussion, so that a solid ideological foundation can be built to further the cause of a particular group; in this case, to further the protection of children and young people, not merely by manipulation of a persons heart, but by appeal to a persons mind and logic.
Me I am all for reformation of CPS to better define the boundaries of the state and reprioritize when a child is actually in danger. Granted that is just me, and I think the views I posit make the aforementioned ideal plain for all to see.
An important factor then is one, to eliminate radical ideologues that can destabilize and drive people away, such as SfDude. The only way to affect change is to accept slight differences of opinion to unite different political factions into a unified whole, a “bloc”.
Another important factor, if you wish to truly appear to care for your cause, is to report neutrally on a topic, this is called journalistic responsibility. Without neutrality, a journalist risks politically polarizing people, and again, driving them away.
Lastly, to Trench Reynolds, I believe if you take the time to read the somewhat lengthy comments posted herein, you will know who is trolling, or at least who is being overally emotional, whether it be justified or otherwise.

On topic: Does anyone see the situation that occurred on the flight a potential avenue for the improper-use?
While Tamera may or may not be guilty of actually beating her children, it’s far more likely she was arrested for cursing out the Flight Attendant.
As someone mentioned on another site people tend to roll assault and battery into one. Assault can occur simply by verbal abuse while battery is were the assailant made physical contact.
If you read the article, the women not only verbaly assaulted, but physically assaulted the flight attendant via the tomato juice can.
Again playing Devil’s Advocate, the women was charged essentially with terrorism for assault and battery. However from the perspective of the article, it would seem the flight attendant wants Tamera to be prosecuted because she disagrees with her method of parenting.

It is understandable to become emotional when there is a potential abuse of children occurring.
At any rate, whatever I may have said to offend you, I apologize forthright and with vigor.
We all want justice and reforms. Some believe Tamara requires harsher punishment, while others believe less so. More importantly WHAT she is punished for.
I care for children no less than the next person, that is why the DOJ needs to make it abundantly clear why Tamara is being prosecuted and what for, with no vagueness of the matter, otherwise it harms the cause of everyone who have children at heart.
To quote again another person from one of the links, or more accurately, paraphrase, “doing anything disruptive to the crew while flying 8 miles in the air in a thin aluminum shell carrying thousands upon thousands of fuel…is a bad idea.”
She should either be charged with child abuse, or else with reckless endangerment of the plane, not terrorism, or some other vague charge.

This story is a joke. Terrorism = Controlling your kids? Americans are so afraid of their own shadow that they are now worse than Communists. The no fly list is used for political intimidation. And the “KGB” held her in jail for 3 months without a lawyer until she plead guilty to these trumped up charges.
Surprised she is not getting the death penalty. Almost as bad…She is losing her kids because of a jackass flight attendant.
