Tillman C. Moore Charged with Killing His Three-Month-Old Son

In Riviera Beach, Florida, Tillman C. Moore, 24, is charge with abusing and killing his three-month-old son, Jayden Moore. The autopsy showed that the baby’s death was caused by blunt-force trauma to the head.

Last September, Moore called 911 to report that the baby had stopped breathing. He told police it was caused by heatstroke. After doing CPR on the baby, dectectives noticed suspicious marks on the child’s body.

At the hospital, a CT scan showed five head injuries and older broken ribs. Jayden died soon after.

When confronted, Moore started telling a series of lies. First, he said that the boy had fallen off the bed earlier that day. Then the story changed again. Moore told police that the baby had fallen another time from his stroller.

The baby’s mother, LaWanda Addison, is cooperating with police since she had suspicions that Moore was abusing the baby. Because of this, Moore’s sister has left threatening voice mail messages on her cell phone. So now a judge has ruled that his family was not allowed to contact Addison.

    What is going on with some people and 3-month old babies?

    Who beats a baby? Why hurt a baby?

    I can’t think of anything that my children did when they were 3 months old that would have provoked a beating, rough handling or even “the firm voice”. Or any of the other 3 month olds I’ve helped care for over the years.

    What can they do at that age? Make eye contact, cry, roll over, belly crawl and sit upright for a little while.

    Too sad for words.

    What a monster!! I am so happy to hear that the mom is doing her part to see that justice is done. So many women defend the monsters that hurt their children. To bad she didn’t do something about his sorry ass eariler… A life might have been saved. Hmph!

    You know what? That makes me mad! That really makes me mad if anyone ever hurt or killed their own kids! I have lots of nieces, four of which my now deceased sister gave birth to, and if my brother-in-law ever did something like that to either one of them, I would be so mad at him (although he loves and cares about them)! I’m so glad that the mom stood up to that asshole for killing that poor baby cuz she is so sweet for doing that!
