Mesa man turned on dryer while 1-year-old was inside
Dad accused of turning on clothes dryer while son was inside:
19-year-old Jose Rocha of Mesa, Arizona was arrested on child abuse charges. His family members claim that when his 1-year-old son climbed into the clothes dryer to play the family went to get a camera because they thought it was cute. Rocha may have had other ideas as his family said that he turned it on while the boy was inside. Luckily the boy was not seriously injured.
Rocha and the boy’s mother claim that Rocha turned the dryer with his hand. Like that’s so much better.
I remember getting my ass chewed out by my aunt when I was little and I hid in her dryer. It’s never a good idea no matter how cute it is to let your kids inside of any appliance.

OK, a bit of advice directly to the mom: WAKE THE HELL UP! Whether he turned on the dryer or just spun it with his hand, your child’s sperm-donor thought it was OK — perhaps even funny — to scare the crap out of your child by tumbling him around. At best, that’s mean-spirited. At worst, it’s a sign the guy’s got a serious short-circuit when it comes to having empathy for others. And if you can’t have empathy for your own 1-year-old child, you are seriously F-ed up. If he hasn’t already belted you, give him time. Get yourself and your child away from this clod NOW, before he does something worse to one or both of you.

Ya know… this was probably an idiot moment. hahaha, watch junior spin in the dryer. He’ll think it’s a blast. Doofus, you can seriously injure your child. Not only bumps and abrasions, but burns (I’m assuming that if you were stupid enough to turn on the dryer you also were stupid enough to leave it on the heated setting).
Was there intent to harm? I dunno. But, regardless, the couple needs to go through parenting classes and be monitored by CPS if they want to keep custody of their kid.

Ok this is what I don’t understand…
“According to police, the child’s mother said that she heard the dryer turn on and the child screaming.”
Then it says: “Rocha and the boy’s mother claim he never turned the dryer on, but family members who were there said he did.”
The mother said she heard the dryer turn on but then said Rocha never truned on the dryer? Did it just come on by itself??? She can’t keep her stories straight.
