Sumter couple accused of starving son
Sumter police investigating starving death of 1-year-old:
Bond set for parents in starving death of 1-year-old son:
25-year-old Kevin Isaac and 23-year-old Marketta McCray of Sumter, South Carolina have been arrested in the starvation death of their son, 18-month-old Sincere Isaac.
As usual police were called to the house for an unresponsive child and when they got there they found the house in deplorable conditions, rats, roaches, and dog crap.
Sincere had a twin sister who was also undernourished. The couple had three other kids that all seemed to be fed well. Of course the Breeders also seemed to have not missed any meals.
Both are being held on $50K bond.
Thanks to LaDonna for the tip.

If you can’t or don’t want to feed them, give them to a family who does. There’s no reason in this country for a child to starve to death.

Ugh, I am tired about reading stories of starved children. How can any human treat another like that, especially your own? I am just at a loss for words. These people always seem to live in a disgusting home as well. Maybe not having so many kids would solve that problem.

Wow. As someone who has some mental issues and was too shy to ask for help while studying in europe as a teen and ran out of money mid-trip, I can say eventually going without food hurts like crazy. It was really unexpected. It’s like a hardcore churning cramping empty pain that twists you in knots. It’s really one of the worst things I’ve ever felt, maybe just a couple notches below labor. So sad that baby had to feel that. And then in court she wails “I don’t want this!” Yeah, I’m sure your son wanted to starve to death and live in piles of feces and trash. Bitch.
And it just dawned on me, they must have wanted these babies dead. They fed their other kids and themselves. It wasn’t just a mom with mental issues, but the dad and grandmother stood by and let it happen. Maybe the grandmother lived far or something, but dad was there and saw the kids withering away and was apparently cool with it.
