Corpus Christi 3-year-old starved
3 1/2-year-old Boy Admitted To Driscoll Children’s Hospital Weighing Only 20 lbs.:
Judge Denies Mother Ability To See Her Children:
Back in February 3-year-old Isaac Villarreal of Corpus Christi, TX was removed from his house by CPS because he only weighed 20 pounds. His birth organism, Alma Villareal, claimed that Isaac had an obesity problem and was on “a special diet”. She claimed that a pediatrician admonished her for Isaac being too fat when he was two. Doctors at the hospital that Isaac was admitted to found no evidence of Villareal’s claims.
More recently Isaac has put on weight but doctors are saying that he will more than likely have learning disabilities because of the starvation.
Villareal’s 3 other daughters were also removed from the home and a judge has denied Villarreal’s request to see her children.
Child abuse charges are still pending against Villareal.
Thanks to KC for the tip.

I am totally shocked at how the system works. Here again some filthy, heartless “parent” does something so outrageously disgusting to an innocent child and what will happen? She will get a slap on her wrist and the child will be given back to her. I have read numerous stories on this website where the so called parents get their children back and the child lands up being killed or hurt. Why???? There are millions of couples that would love to have that child and take care of him / her. White children for adoption, especially, is scarce and our adoption lists has actually closed because we do not have the kids to adopt and a lot of couples are heartbroken because of it. Give us your unwanted kids, we would love and raise them and treat them with dignity and respect.
I am an attorney working and living in South Africa and there is not a chance that our Legal System nor Social Welfare will ever make a recommendation / judgment that a child be returned to his / her parents if that parent did something this callous, cold and heartless to their child. We actually had a case here where a baby and his siblings were taken away from their father, after the mother died, because the father was blind! In all other respects he was more than capable of taking care of his kids, he is a loving father and his children was devastated by it. After extensive investigation the children were returned to him and for all of us it was such a wonderful feel good story! The man has now married another women and they adore their children.

I have to say that I was questioning this one until seeing the last line in the first article and then seeing in the second article that he has gained a considerable amount of weight since being at the hospital. I have a son who will be 6 in June that is 3 feet tall and just (finally!) hit 35 pounds. He doesn’t get to sit in a booster seat like his friends and instead is still in a 5-point harness car-seat still. He eats very well- often it seems constantly-homemade meals, whole grains, fruits, veggies, meats, nuts, etc. and a nutripal shake once a week or so- he has been to SO MANY doctors trying to figure this out- pediatrician, gastroentologist, endocrynologist–had SO MANY tests- endoscopy, arginine-insuline tolerance test, tests for seizures, etc- they thought they had it when they diagnosed him with celiac disease (which he does have) but usually when that is the cause of stunted growth kids have a growth spurt within 6-12 months- he’s been off gluten for about 3 years, so this year we had to take him back to the specialists- at this point they’ve determined he has a zinc deficiency, but they analyzed his diet and found he eats 2-3 times as much zinc as he’s supposed to in a day and they while they’re pretty sure his growth is stunted b/c of the zinc deficiency, they have yet to figure out WHY he has a zinc deficiency- at first it seemed this child was taken just based on his weight and that terrified me- of course if such a thing were to happen with us, there would be no problem finding evidence to support the fact that there’s a medical problem- 2 hospitals, a pediatricians office, and my filing cabinet have records- but to think of having him taken from us while we go to court to prove that we’re not starving him—is unthinkable.

Friend of mine got told by a maternal and child health nurse “Oh, and it’s not a problem to give your baby some baby panadol if they have a slight temperature, or if they’re not coping with teething…”
…which she took to mean “Give your child the maximum dose of panadol every single night for two years regardless of whether she’s sick or not because the merest whimper or grizzle is a sign that your child is in deep irreversible distress and you must must must make sure that you do not allow her to experience discomfort”
…I hear that could kill her kidneys eventually…
