I completely agree with Jen. I hope that I’m wrong in this case but it would appear that finally one concerned person called social services and only when questioned witnesses came forward. Why oh why do we see this time after time?? How can a human watch someone abuse and neglect a child and just sit back and not report it immediately?? I really hate to sound preachy but kraft mac n cheese is only a dollar something a box… these witnesses didn’t have anything to spare?? I just hope that I’m misjudging some of the people in this case because if not society is doomed.

Loss of freedom, loss of property, loss of ability to accept state loans, grants and EBT cards. If it is so easy, I suggest that you grab someone you know that has EBT and drag them to one of these many merchants but catch the transaction on video. Do your part to help protect our tax dollars from abuse.

I used to work as a counselor for homeless drug addicts and I know how many of them went into severe DTs once the state went to EBT cards and stopped passing out coupons. The problem still exists I’m sure, but a tremendous dent was put in that blackmarket system once we switched. I know two stores that were known to buy foodstamps (coupons) for 50 cents on the dollar that went out of business within two years of the switch.

I believe a poster already commented on how someone places an order with the Food Stamp holder and then pays the holder less than face value in cash when the groceries are delivered. If there’s a system, there are people who will figure out how to manipulate it.

I’ve seen some physically beautiful women whose attitudes made them ugly as sin; and I have some friends who call themselves ‘fat and ugly’, who are among the most beautiful people I have ever had the good fortune to associate with. I have said on here MANY times, everyone has the right to their opinion just as I have the right to mine. I have been jumped on and demeaned for stating mine just as others have. ITs life, get over it.

Yes, I actually did call someone a troll – sfdude_2008 (and I still stand by that). And no, I have never defended an actual child abuser, but I have defended those I thought falsely accused.
