Looks can be deceiving … but not in this case!

A man called 911 to report a baby in the trash at a FL storefront church.  Upon investigation police discovered that the caller was in fact the sperm donor as well.

Demetrius Lamont Clark 37 had impregnated a 17 year old runaway (also a victim in this case) and as soon as she gave birth dumped the child at the church.

The baby was found bloody from birth with her cord freshly cut.

The 17 year-old mother and her newborn (who is doing fine) are in protective custody.

Now what shall we do with Clark?

She was 17, she’s way more than old enough to know better. I don’t know why you or the article are calling her a victim.

considering she knew him since she was 5 years old… and when she was 15 years old, he had sex with her. yes, she knows better. but in the same sense, so does he. he’s the one who took the infant from her, and threw it out. he’s the one who denied her prenatal care. who took her across state borders. who fed her lie after lie since she was 13 about her mother so that she would learn to hate her family.

and yes, i know more about this case than the article itself. i was involved deeply with this family.

While I don’t know the whole story between said run-a-way and her family, it really was her parents job to make sure she stayed at home, and not with some dude who was 20 years older then her. What can you expect in a situation like that? In my opinion, this is a double bad parent story. Of course the pos who threw his baby out, but also the mother’s parents for letting her be involved with the man who ultimately knocked her up. All I can say is AT LEAST he called 911 before the baby was hurt.. hopefully that shows some sort of compassion on his part. Maybe…?

I say we cut his “cord” and run it through a blender so there’s no reattachment option.
He’s scum. He’s known her since she was 5? Who knows what BS he’s been feeding her to get her to point that she’d have sex with him? I feel there’s a lot more to this story. I’m not ready to bash the 17 y/o yet. She WAS a minor when this POS starting have sex with her. I”m grateful that the baby and the birth mother are ok. I’m surprised, but grateful, that the birth father called 911.

Can someone give this freak a haircut, please? Yeesh! What a rat’s nest. And that’s the LEAST of his flaws.

Its easy to say the older partner is manipulating and abusing the younger one, and often it is true -predators seek out the young and vulnerable. On the other hand there are vulnerable people that are not young, and older men who have failed at life and can not get women in their age group are sometimes victims of manipulating younger women. And sometimes sadistic fucks just find each other and age makes no difference when you find someone just as depraved and evil as you (Karla Homolka anyone).

Clearly none of us know what happened leading up to this. But just because she was younger or he knew her from when she was a child automatically makes her someone so abused that they couldn’t stand up for themselves or their child. Maybe, just maybe, she was abused to the point of not being competant anymore. But unless she was completely mentally incompetant or locked in a basement no one denied her prenatal care. And at 13 any decent parent should have had enough control over their daughter to keep them away from someone “turning her against her family”. Even if it means moving to a different state.

However no one just “takes” a newborn from a mom. And she could have gone out to the trash and taken the baby back once he told her what he’d done. She could have turned herself in to the cops. I’ve give birth twice, both with no drugs, and once at home. Giving birth doesn’t cripple you.

  • The mother

I am her mother. I had her in counseling, had severed all contact to the best of my ability with her and Clark. I had social services involved and the police to keep him away from her. I did not know they were in a sexual relationship although I suspected such but had no proof. She ran away from NY June 24, 2008. I immediately filed a missing person’s report within 2 hours of her not coming home from school that day. Her counselor had called me that day and told me her plans. I had already been to the school twice b/c she told her guidance counselor she wanted to live with him. I refused to let her do so. I knew that was the wrong decision. I have been looking for her tirelessly since the day she left. The police had the attitude that since she was 16 she would do what she wanted to even if they brought her home. She was registered with Missing and Exploited Children and I stayed in consistent communication with my contact person there. I had her put on a court ordered program from here in NY that issued a warrant for her arrest and two weeks before she was found my contact at Missing and Exploited children told me that they had a viable lead in Jacsksonville, FL but until he had further info he couldn’t say anything to me. So for anyone who believes that nothing was done to take care of her they are mistaken. I know the entire story. I AM her mother and yes, I made mistakes as a parent. All parents do. I love my child and pray everyday that this will resolve in a positive way but both she and Clark have consequences to their actions that are out of my hands. I love her more than life. I would not wish this situation on anyone so don’t judge until it is your child on the news in some horrible nightmare. Don’t think for one minute this may never happen to you because you are living in a vacuum if you do.
