Some Diamonds Aren’t Forever……

Smith

Core
Article1, Article2, Artcle3, Article4
The female with the pissed off look on her face and the guy with the “Who, me?” stare, are the parents of six month old Diamond Nicole Smith, who was allegedly murdered by them last week. Doniesha Elouise Core, 21, and Ronald Everette Smith, 24, have both been arrested in connection with the crime. The sperm donor is charged with murder and is being held without bond, and the incubator is charged with negligent child abuse with serious bodily injury, and is being held under a $15,000.00 secured bond.
Little Diamond was taken to the hospital with broken ribs and bleeding on the brain, and died two days later. Police have said that the cause of death is an abusive head injury, but it sounds a lot like SBS to me. With those injuries, it looks a lot like he grabbed her around the middle and shook her like a rag doll, thereby causing the brain bleed.
For some reason the children’s rhyme, “Shake, Shake, My Playmate…” popped into my head as I was researching this piece, and I can’t seem to get rid of the tune. Here is a new version of that old favorite modified to fit this crime (and others like it).
Shake, shake my baby,
Come out and kill with me,
Bring your children three,
Climb up my hickory tree.
And we can beat them,
And have a fine old time,
And kill your kids too,
Like I did mine, mine, mine, mine.
I think I’m done for today….when I start composing poetry (albeit BAD poetry) about the abusers, I know I’ve had enough for one day. I’ll let my readers take over from here…..
And thanks to April for the tip.

Do they name these babies just to have something to put on the tombstone??

Reminds me of one of my former foster babies who was similar in age at the time I got custody. She got returned in 18 hours because we know that crack-addicted prostitutes can get clean that quick. I hope her story doesn’t end up like this one.
There are days when I wonder why God doesn’t just smite us and get it over with.

I hate seeing cases like this… that poor baby. How could one or in so many cases 2 “parents” inflict this kind of pain on a baby? How could you look into your babies eyes, and destroy them, their very perfect innocence? How could ANYONE do such a thing to a child? I cry over all the lost babies of this world, as I will shed tears for poor miss Diamond as well. What the hell has our world come to?
Thank God the Angels came to swoop this beautiful little girl up, and take her home. Where she will be safe. Thank God her suffering is over. If only we had some Angels to save her before this became her fate…..but then that would mean cps and the cops would actually have to do their job….and that would just be asking too much.
Rest in peace little Angel…you deserved so much better and hopefully the people will do their job and punish these monsters. It will never be enough though…you cant put a price on a child. What a shame.
