Babies Having Babies

Apparently, in Bulgaria, it is still permissible for a 19-year-old to have sex with a ten year old……as long as the girl’s family agree for them to get married afterward. It seems that Kordeza Zhelyazkova got pregnant only two weeks after her 11th birthday, and the father of the child is a 19-year old named Jeliazko. Kordeza and Jeliazko were in the process of getting married when she went into labor, and delivered a 5-pound, 8-ounce girl.
Jeliazko met his bride when he saw her being bullied on the school playground, and told the other children to leave her alone. Maybe the school configuration is different in Bulgaria – I don’t know – but here in the US, if you pass an elementary school, you can pretty much guess that all of the kids on the playground are under 12. He claims that he thought she was 15, though. Because that’s what she told him. And he simply wasn’t smart enough to check and make sure that she was being truthful. Riiiiight. I think he is simply a child molester who was scouting the playground for a new playmate. Looks like he found one.
Apparently the girl’s family are OK with the situation, because: “It’s normal for our girls to have babies young,” said Kordeza’s grandmother Dida, 55. “It’s our tradition.”
She did temper that with the statement that she didn’t want that for her granddaughter, because she felt that she was too young. But then she consented to the marriage between the two, which seems to prove otherwise. Surely she knows that the child will be pregnant again within a couple of months – after all, they are married now, and the sex is therefore legal. Mind-boggling. And sickening.

Thought she was 15? I find that hard to believe. But, I was a late bloomer and was more flat-chested than the boys at that age. I know we can’t force our opinions on other countries. But, I’m glad that I live in a country where 10 y/o’s are not expected to get married and have children. Is this guy a perv? I dunno… I know nothing about Bulgarian culture. I do agree that based on my values, this situation seems wrong.
I hope that the girl and her child will be well-provided for by the husband. I’m so happy that I was WAY more interested in kicking butt on a basketball court than getting married and having babies when I was a pre-teen. Okay, I was more interested in kicking butt on a basketball court even into my mid to late teens. And, it brought me great joy to crack a baseball farther than the guys, too.
Ah, fond memories.

It’s possible. I had a 36B bra, was about 5′3 and had regular periods by the time I was 11.
This whole situation with this little girl is just so disgusting. I read an article before and apparently she said something like she was going to drop out of school to take care of the baby and was happy to have a new toy. A NEW TOY!

Kids that age do tend to think of babies as toys, my eleven year old niece is always saying she want to take care of my older son, but she never wants to change his pants (which is part of taking care of them, lol). she does like to play with him most of the time, and will color with him. she also told me when she found out I was going to have another little one, that she wanted to take care of this baby, but that’s not gonna happen, she’ll only want to do the fun stuff, and my husband and I will end up doing the “gross” stuff, so I’ll just keep it all to myself and my husband, the fun and the “gross”. Plus, The older boy is almost three, and adores his cousin (she lives with us), so he’s big enough to tag along and play with her.

And then it turned out that it wasn’t his baby – she was a 14 year old whore that had to have like 5 guys DNA tested. That story made me sick!

Actually, little Alfie was 12, but he was one of the ones tested, so the girl couldn’t even remember who she had slept with when. but their parents should be slapped in that case, they let a 12 year old boy stay in a 15 year old girl’s room overnight on several occasions, and didn’t think anything of it.

Man, stories like this make me sick. It’s so wrong on so many levels…*sigh* For in the article, the girl said that she’d ’stop playing with toys for she has a new toy now’.
Who’ll tell her that ‘new toy’ of hers isn’t a toy at all? Or the rub of family dynamics…

I just had a baby and my little sister seems to think that she is just some little doll thing to play with and dress up.
Not like that. She cries and poops and she hates having her clothes changed. They’re not toys to play with, they need food and love and attention… poor little baby, that girl is just not ready…

I saw this in the newspaper today. As soon as I saw the pic, before I read the article, I thought she was a flower girl. I don’t believe that he didn’t know she was only 11! And again….the parents…her parents…arranged marriage? My oldest is 9 and is not left out of my site unless she is in school and wont be allowed out of my site until she is much older! How is a 10 year old going on 11 able to meet a 19 year old? My youngest is 8 weeks old and she isn’t even allowed to babysit him until she is in her late teens or be around him aline because she is too YOUNG! And like Cherish says about the doll thing. My daughter looks at him like her lil bro she can dress up and play with,….not RAISE! uggghhh…poor girl! Poor child with a child! I hope that douche gets his!!
