Toilet Paper – The New Killer of Children

The picture above is Joshua Andrew Stepp, 26. He stands accused of sexually assaulting and killing a 10 month old baby named Cheyenne Yarley. The child was his step-daughter, and he was watching her while her mother worked, when the child became unresponsive.

Stepp made a 911 call in which he said Cheyenne had choked on some toilet paper, and was not breathing. Well….at least he came up with an original excuse. Lame, but original. Most perv child murderers try to blame a fall down the stairs, or a fall from a crib, or some other piece of furniture. Then there is always the bathtub…and since the baby was in the bathroom eating the toilet paper anyway, it would have been the next logical step to try and incorporate the bathtub into the child’s death somehow. But, no, he stuck with the toilet paper defense.

When are these people gonna learn that the doctors know the difference between choking and intentional murder? And they can usually spot sexual assault as well – especially when the victim is only 10 months old. It’s pretty obvious when you try to have sex with a baby – the damage is usually tremendous.

Stepp is being held on $500,000.00 bond for the sex offense, but there is no bond for the murder charge. Good. At least he won’t be able to get out anytime soon.

There was also a 4-year old girl in the home – Stepp’s own daughter from a previous relationship. He had custody of the child, apparently, which leads me to wonder WHY?!? It also makes me fearful that he might have sexually abused his own child as well. I sincerely hope that she is checked out by the doctors.

Of course, a family defender has already come out to support Stepp. His sister has said that he loved kids (in bed?), and that they were his only hobby (ummmm……..is that what they’re calling it now?). She also said she wishes people would not jump to conclusions; and that what her whole family is trying to figure out at this point is how the baby got into the toilet paper. They just can’t figure that one out. Uh….really?…..REALLY?!? I think I’m gonna be sick.

    did his sister ever figure out how this baby got into the toilet paper that killed her…(sarcasm) you know this frightens me that this is happening so often that i barely blink..don’t get me wrong i feel a choking sensation in my throat when i see a picture of a little peanut that has been stolen from this world..and i feel like the end of the world has to be coming .. not because of the weather lately but because every single friggen day children are brutalized and murdered…and no one seems to think we are having an epidemic

          All paths are not “valid”. If the leaders of any given path instruct their followers to sexually initiate children at the onset of puberty, to marry off girls as young as 6 (and consummate with their child brides as early as age 9), etc., those paths are not “valid”.

    I have a 14 month old daughter. She is the light of my life. Every time I look at her I fall a little more in love with her. When I read stories like this one I feel empty & sick & I wonder how the mother of this child did not notice anything…surely there are signs that your boyfriend/partner/husband prefers your 10 month old daughter to you?????

    When my hubby & I were driving home the other night with our precious bubbaloo sleeping peacefully in her seat in the back (correctly strapped in of course!), we heard a news item about a man who heard noises from his son’s bedroom so he went in only to find a stranger with a hood over his head & surgical gloves on “doing things to him” (no specifics were given in the bulletin). Some old guy (64) had broken in through a window & was abusing this child in his own bed…

    I said to my husband that if he ever caught someone in our daughter’s room I hope he would not bother calling the police…we decided that if anyone should ever harm her they will be taken to the farm, which is quite literally in the middle of nowhere, & they will be treated how they deserve to be treated.

    I find it suprememly sad that I have lost all faith in the judicial system… :cry:

      I’ve told my husband that if anyone ever touched one of my children, I couldn’t promise that I wouldn’t take the law into my own hands… and for sure, the scum had better pray that the police get to them before I do. My husband is far too trusting in the judicial system as far as I’m concerned. These scum get off much too lightly, as far as I’m concerned. The ones who murder don’t get nearly enough time, and the ones who molest/rape would be a little closer to true justice if they got the time given to those who rape/murder.

        I’ll go you one better on that score. If anyone ever touches one of my babies I will promise TO take the law into my own hands. The only way a perv who touched one of my kids would have any chance of making it to trial would be if the authorities found and arrested him before I could get to him, and then kept him locked up and in protective custody until the trial. Otherwise, I would be the one on trial….it would be for murder….and I would gladly serve my time knowing I had removed a threat from the rest of humanity. And when I got out I might just disinter him and beat him some more…. just because. :twisted:

    I have a 14 month old daughter. She is the light of my life. Every time I look at her I fall a little more in love with her. When I read stories like this one I feel empty & sick & I wonder how the mother of this child did not notice anything…surely there are signs that your boyfriend/partner/husband prefers your 10 month old daughter to you?????

    When my hubby & I were driving home the other night with our precious bubbaloo sleeping peacefully in her seat in the back (correctly strapped in of course!), we heard a news item about a man who heard noises from his son’s bedroom so he went in only to find a stranger with a hood over his head & surgical gloves on “doing things to him” (no specifics were given in the bulletin). Some old guy (64) had broken in through a window & was abusing this child in his own bed…

    I said to my husband that if he ever caught someone in our daughter’s room I hope he would not bother calling the police…we decided that if anyone should ever harm her they will be taken to the farm, which is quite literally in the middle of nowhere, & they will be treated how they deserve to be treated.

    I find it suprememly sad that I have lost all faith in the judicial system… :cry:

    I’ve had similar discussions with my hubby… I don’t think I could trust anyone interested in dating a woman with two children enough to even go there. I’d just make sure I lived near enough family that I’d have some support (emotional, someone to watch the kids now and then, etc.) if that ever happened.

    From what I gathered from him, he’d skip the dating and just move back in with his parents to help out with the kids. (I’ve been sharing information with him about how more and more women have been charged with CSA.)

      He could have been using the TP in a lame attempt to “clean out” the baby’s mouth. Or he injured her throat and stuffed TP in her mouth to cover the fact up. Whatever his sick reasoning, I hope Sarah’s right and he gets something nice and big to choke on in prison.

      The fact that his enabling family is making excuses and detracting from the real issue (that this baby was raped and murdered) just goes to show why this guy is the way he is.

    Not so much about this guy here, but it came up on a forum I post on… the subject of men who look for women with children to date… Shouldn’t that be a huge red flag for the moms? I’m sure some guys are great actors, but if a guy likes children there are usually signs…

    i think we need more info on this one. all the articles say is that he was charged with sexual assault and murder. no details on anything….angel keep us updated, i’d like to know more before jumping this guy…was she battered and bruised? blunt force trauma to the head? extreme sexual trauma? not enough info.
