Mommy Lied, Daddy Cried, Drive By Shooting Done Inside

We may as well say that both parents are losers and liars, and they have both cried at some point during this clustermuck. I would be willing to bet that neither has cried as much as their three year old did when he was shot. Just guessing on that one, though.

William Thalley, 29, and his wife, Nicole Fernandez, 25, have been arrested on child abuse charges, and it hasn’t been reported yet, but I would imagine also for filing a false police report (for lying to the cops). Now if they could just be charged with terminal stupidity as well, we could call it a day.

Thalley told the cops that his three year old had been shot in a drive by shooting, and the little woman backed up his silly story. The child was at the hospital where they had taken him after he was injured at the family home. I guess they thought that taking the child to the hospital BEFORE notifying authorities would keep them from doing a thorough investigation at the residence, and their story might be believed. While no details were given, my guess is that the first clue that the parents were lying was probably the lack of a bullet hole in wall or window.

The 3-year old boy, whose name has not been released, was in serious condition just after the incident but has since been released into the custody of Colorado CPS. The parents have been barred from all contact with the child (good call, Judge!), and both still remain in jail. Thalley has a bond set at $275,000.00, and Fernandez’ bond is $150,000.00.

The police determined that the child was shot inside the residence, and that the bullet came from a gun that was also inside the residence, and being held at the time by the sperm donor. Thalley has tried to blame an unidentified Hispanic man for the crime. Nothing says brotherhood like trying to blame one of your own ethnic group, huh?

Thalley has a prior conviction for domestic abuse, and hopefully this incident will get him the lengthy sentence that he so richly deserves. He cried crocodile tears for the judge, but apparently the judge doesn’t care for reptiles, because the waterworks didn’t sway him (her?).

I know this is off topic, and irrelevant, but I had to bring it up because it intrigues me. One of the couple’s neighbors said that the child has blond hair. I looked at the pictures of the parents. While I completely understand genetics, and know that two brown eyed people can create a blue eyed child if each has a recessive blue-eye gene, and the child gets it from both parents; I find it hard to believe that BOTH of these individuals have a gene for blond hair. Which makes me wonder if the child even belongs to Thalley, or if he is the step-penis. Just a little something to make you go “Hmmmmmmm…..”

In other news, the only remaining member of the family, a dog, was confiscated from the home on Monday. I wonder if he had any bullet holes in him, or if the boy was the only interesting target for the abusive idiot.

It could be possible, since both parents appear to be Hispanic, they could have enough Spanish blood way back for blond to crop up.

Still ridiculous to shoot any baby. I bet the judge was thinking “yeah right, buddy. I may have been born at night, but it wasn’t last night”. There would have been some kind of report about a drive by shooting, besides what the sperm donor tried to get them to believe.

The blonde thing is irksome. We’re caucasian & both brunette w/ 2 blonde kids…..but our parents were blondes. I don’t think that these people would have that possibility.

The child is 3, if he was awake he SHOULD be able to tell the investigators something….I think he’d still be too young to lie out of fear.

The genetics thing is a hoot, ain’t it? Of my six kids, two have brown eyes, two have blue eyes, and two have green eyes. Two are dark brunettes, three have light brown hair, and one is straw blonde. Three have curly hair and three have straight hair (one with a little wave). The mixture of different traits is staggering. But somehow, they all seem to look alike, and a couple even look like me, lol.

We are both brunettes with two blond kids, too. I’m not sure of the three year old’s ability to tell though. My daughter could speak in paragraphs at that age, but my friend’s son is four. He speaks in one word sentences, and you can barely understand the word. Hopefully, he is able to tell and doesn’t have to go back to the trigger man and his girl.

My hubby and i are both brown haired (I’m closer to auburn, and his hair is almost black), but we were both blonde babies, as were our fathers. Our older son is ablonde, already turning brunette at almost three, and the baby hasn’t been born yet, but I’m fairly certain he’ll be blonde too.

But since neither of the ‘parents’ seems to be the pure Indian blood, there is a remote chance for the baby to be blonde, since there would be some European blood in their ancestry. Although if the baby is not the shooter’s, that could be part of why he shot the little guy, although I wonder what “reason” will come out later (potty issues, being “disrespectful”, etc.) Funny how they never want to say “I shot him because I’m an antisocial prick”, which is probably closer to the truth.

But on the other hand, these dimwits’ stellar intelligence is mind-staggering. Just as smart as this teething toy. (Please note sarcasm.) But really hope the kid pulls through.

  • Kathy Thomas Says:

I’ve heard that genetics commonly skip a generation, maybe that could explain the little girls looks.
As for these 2 ignoramouses, hope the charges stick! Assholism perfected!

    • Jenn from NM Says:

Actually it was a little boy, but things can definitely skip a generation, especially in the case of a recessive trait, which can skip several generations.
Case in point, my father has almost black hair (born blonde), and my mom has almost black hair. My hair is closer to the color of my father’s mother’s hair (a lighter brown with a trace of red), while my sister’s hair is the same as our mom’s (a dark almost chocolaty brown). I was born blonde.
I look forward to seeing what color hair my son gets, his daddy was born blonde and has very dark brown hair now, and our little guy was born with blonde hair (starting to get darker now, but still in the blonde range). Yet another aspect of hius growing up to look forward to, along with seeing what kind of man he’ll grow up to be, and enjoying the little boy he is now (even though he is frustrating at times, I could never interntionally hurt him, he does too many things that make it all worthwhile).

Tragic story but awesome headline Angel.

I will throw this out there, every year, tens of thousands of children and never recovered. Is it possible that this guy is a Pedo who kidnapped her and THAT’S why she doesn’t look like them?
ANOTHER one of those “child abuse” type of signs to look for. :?:

  • Dee Says:

Wow! That’s a sad looking mama! She should be for hooking up with that arrogant looking loser.
Poor baby, I hope he’ll be okay.

  • Xtine Says:

No, you don’t understand genetics, it seems. Not only is it possible for darker haired parents to produce a blonde child (I have a genetics major for what it’s worth), but some children don’t produce darker hair until they are a little older – since the pigment just doesn’t kick in til the age of 3 or 4. I am a case in point; I had blonde hair until I was 3 and then it went very dark. I am as Anglo as they come and am the spitting image of both my dark haired parents.

I understand you want to have a go at parents on this website but don’t throw in uneducated claims. It only makes you look more bigoted.

    • Jenn from NM Says:

Yep, my husband and I were both blondies until we were about 8, and our little boy was born blonde, but at almost three is already coming in dark, and one of our nephews was also born blonde and is turning dark-haired. It apparently is very common, both our fathers were light haired as little guys, and before they went gray were both dark-haired (my dad’s hair actually was black).

  • Angel Says:

No…..I DO understand genetics. I believe I mentioned the dominant/recessive issue, and stated that I was aware that two dark eyed parents can produce a light eyed child, and I figured you would read into that that I knew the same about hair color. I guess you didn’t. Next time I’ll be sure and spell that out for you, OK? I am also well aware that hair color (and eye color for that matter) can change during the early years. For example – five of my six children were born with gray/blue eyes, but only two still have blue eyes. As I said earlier, two now have brown and two now have green eyes. My hair was straw blond until I turned four, and I have the pictures to prove it. Now it is brown.

Trying to be a smart ass on here just to seem superior to others makes you look like a snotty witch. Congratulations on the degree in genetics, though. Now, as soon as you figure out that a college degree doesn’t make you a freakin’ genius, we’ll all be doing good.

Angel, I know, I was corrected twice, must have been that fruitcake….. ;-)

What they did was horrible, hope they rot in jail/ hell, now for the blonde kid part, did you guys notice that the man has a American last name “Thalley” no one who is latino has an american last name, I know I’m latina. Now he has to be mixed half latino w/ something, Now I have a daughter who is half and half :-) (white/ latino) and people think I’m her babysitter. That can be one possibility, of why they have a light skin or blonde kid. What ever the case, those asshole should pay dearly, poor kid

  • Julie Says:

I know the dad from when we went to school together. Nobody really knows what happend except the parents, the little boy and God. I hope that if these allegations are not true that Billy would be vindcated but if they are true that God would have mercy on his soul. Children are a blessing and should be treated as the gifts that they are. And as for the mother I dont know her but I believe that she should have the same punishment as Billy whatever that might be.
