He was in the vehicle when it was tooken
Police: Man left son in semi while visiting a strip club:
39-year-old Donald Crawford of Indianapolis was arrested last week for leaving his 5-year-old son in the cab of his semi while he went and drank at a strip club. Not only was he already allegedly drunk when he got to the club but he also refused to pay for $80 in lap dances and only had one drink. Ladies and gentleman this is only one of the many species of douchebag. The cheapskate at the strip club.
Anyway, after he was thrown out of the club he couldn’t find his truck and called 911 to report it missing. The 911 call is transcribed in the article but the fact that the told the dispatcher that “He was in the vehicle when it was tooken.” Even here in the south that’s not close to proper grammar.
And it gets better. When police finally found Crawford and the truck the truck was unlocked with the keys in the ignition. Luckily his son was unharmed and watching cartoons.
But wait…there’s more. The article says that Crawford was released into the custody of his wife. Does that mean that she bailed him out? Ladies, would you have bailed out your man if he did something like that.
When I was single I went to a lot of strip clubs. After I got married and inherited some new kids I went once and was embarrassed when I came home and my kids said I smelled funny. It was probably the combination of beer and stripper perfume that made me that way.
Thanks to Sara for the tip.

what’s with truckers and strippers? I don’t get it! is it an unspoken law or an innitiation right of driving a semi? I have a father-in-law who, sadly to say, reminds me of this jack-ass, so I’m starting to wonder if it’s some kind of club that truckers join or if they are all just morons?!

Why is it that people in most need of earning a Darwin award seem to never get one? I think this guy is a prime candidate for one if only he’d quit surviving. And, no.. I would NOT bail his butt out of jail. I would, however, have him served with divorce papers while in jail (if I could find an attorney to work that fast). I’d change the locks, burn his clothes in the front yard, and curse myself for ever being stupid enough to get married to the idiot in the frist place.

Nah, Trench, if my man did something stupid like that, I wouldn’t bail his butt out. He could sit in jail as far as I care – it might learn him something.
However, I’m blessed with a man who is very smart and has a lot of common sense so this scenario is highly unlikely.

Gods… if my husband did something like that, he could rot in that cell for all I’d care. I’d be so furious he’d probably be afraid if I did bail him out. And I’m with Kathy on this one… that marriage would be over in a flash. I’d have no sympathy, and he’d have no visitation.
Maybe his wife had alterior motives for bailing him out… like maybe knocking some sense into him and physically throwing his ass out of the house. But shame on her for letting her son out in his truck, no matter what time of day it was. No way she could not know he’s got a drinking problem.

Betcha anything he’s an abusive, drunken asshole who would make his poor wife’s life a living hell once he got out of jail if she DIDN’T bail him out. Betcha she’s also stuck with him because he would also make her life a living hell if she had the audacity to try to leave him and get custody of their son. Betcha he uses their son as a pawn in his pathetic, abusive game so he has some method of control over his wife, who’s scared that he’ll either fight her tooth and nail for custody OR kill her OR take the coward’s way out by offing their son and himself… which is why she refuses to leave despite his boorish behavior and the fact that she clearly deserves better.
Not that I’m speaking from personal experience or anything.
Ladies, sometimes it’s harder than you think to just cut all ties.

If it wasn’t 2:30am I’d be asking my SO about regulation on alcohol & truck driving. I know it’s a huge taboo to have alcohol inside the truck, but I think there’s more.
That 911 call may have saved the idiot his job, too. He may have been drunk, but at least he didn’t drive that semi drunk. He’s still an idiot and other words that’d be censored.
My question; why was a child with him anyway? That’s no place for a child; WHAT WAS THE MOTHER THINKING???
