They had to amputate the child’s toes

MrsCatbert2You

I can’t find a picture of this scumsucker… but hopefully he’ll spend the rest of his life locked away.

Jason Barnes, 36, faces multiple counts of aggravated battery for allegedly burning his son so severly it caused 3rd degree burns from the waste down and his toes had to be amputated.

Barnes admits he gave the boy a bath in the sink, but denies burning the child… and yet the burns weren’t there when the child came to his house and somehow appeared during the time he had custody of the boy…hmmmmm

Thanks Desi for the tip

HEY … I found one!

My daughter suffered 2nd degree burns to her chest when she tried to take raman noddles out of the microwave. She had to get skin grafts and with knowing her pain and having to go through that I cannot imagine intentionally doing that to a child. I still hear my daughters screams in my head! This scumbag should be boiled alive!!!! :x

Even if he gets the maximum sentence,60 years is not nearly long enough.

I was a young mother at 19 and had the sense to test the bath water with my elbow before I put my baby into the tub. What a tragic thing to happen to this child due to stupidity.

Jenn you are too sweet. You can’t understand it because you are not evil. Think of it as a blessing. It is hard to believe the extreme difference of people in this world. I see this as another case of maybe if I play stupid the cops will buy my story. Which just shows how much of a dumb ass he is.

Why on Earth would someone burn a 20 month old baby (or any child for that matter, especially that badly. He should be lowered into a pot of boiling oil (which while it boils at a lower temp than water is so much more painful, those Thermodynamics classes I took in college the first time around really came in handy
Maybe then he’ll get an idea of the physical pain his baby felt, with the added pain acting to partially make up for the emotional pain of having Daddy hurt you like that.

    Holy Crap. It’s Billy Mayes.

im confuzzed the child was burned with hot tap water? seems impossibly hot!

    • Amber Says:

If your hot water heater is up high enough, it can happen. That’s why if you have kids, you have to keep it turned down to where it doesn’t heat the water that hot.

      • Amber Says:

BTW, that was in no way a defense of this dumbass, if the water was hot enough to cause those kind of burns, he knew it and still stuck that baby in there.

        • Cherish Says:

Babies get burned a whole lot easier, too. Their skin is a lot thinner than ours. Something that would be a soothing hot shower for us can really hurt a baby. (Also not a defense, just adding onto how a NORMAL, not-deranged person could accidentally burn a baby)

          • Jenn from NM Says:

Yep, but they usually let you know the water is too hot, by crying or screaming when they are preverbal, or my son will tell me the water is hot when we’re washing hands (but he cries and tries to climb out if the tub water is too hot). And to burn a toddler that bad, that is more than accidental burning, unless that water was to the point of being extremely uncomfortable for an adult (we’re talking first to secind degree burns within second of contact, since the baby had third degree burns).
