WV man bites baby on the face
Couple arrested on child abuse, neglect charges:
You know I’ve been trying to not make fun of West Virginia (Is that Dueling Banjos I hear?) however they make it kind of hard when they give us stories like this.
State police in WV have arrested Vanessa Ann Stanley, 26, and Joey Allen Watts, 25, on child abuse charges. Watts allegedly took her own 15-month-old son squeezed the baby’s cheeks to the point of bruising. Stanley on the other hand allegedly bit the baby on the face. Stanley is not the baby daddy.
The baby daddy was the one who contacted police.
Thanks to Angie for the tip.

Props to the baby Daddy for stepping in.

Ugh, I was so hoping WV could stay out of the spotlight. But… here we go again.
Seriously… what PURPOSE can there be to squeezing the baby’s cheeks and bruising him? And biting him? Some people have no brains at all. Hopefully, the biological father can take care of his son.

Ug… it’s so difficult for me to read stories like this and not look at my two beautiful boys in a whole different light.
Seriously, any time any parent is feeling any irritation toward their child (it happens to the best of us), just think of cases like this. You won’t even need to count to ten to calmly respond to them. Because the thought of anything like this ever happening to them will just break your heart so much that nothing they could do will raise your ire.

Ha… my kids can still bug the snot out of me. The difference is that I’m not going to physically harm them. For example, instead of knocking their arguing heads together to get some peace, I took away the Xbox and sent each boy to his room with the task of picking up all the toys and debris. Yes, they tried to argue. Yes, they promised to quit fighting. My response was keep it up, and you’ll lose the DS’s too. See, you can get frustrated and downright ticked off. But, YOU CHOOSE appropriate ways to react and handle the situations.
As for dueling banjo’s… my father-in-law plays and so does a very close friend. Yup, you can catch us hunkered round a big ole bonfire in the summer time listening to blue grass on the banjos and spitting tobacco juice into the fire. hahaha

So they took him to the hospital, but the doctors there didn’t report the abuse? The father had to do it? Well, kudos to the dad for not just taking a baseball bat to the asses of his worthless ex and her penis.
And seriously — a 25-year-old man who’s still being called “Joey?” That should be our first clue there are some maturity issues here, at the very least!

And if the baby daddy wants to take a baseball bat to the ex and her penis– anything I can do to help.
