3 out of 4 kids prefer meth
Couple arrested after children test positive for drugs:
David Armendariz, 33, and Kimberly Little, 25, from Harrison County, Texas, have four children ranging in age from 18-months to 6-years-old. Three out of their four children allegedly tested positive for meth while the parents were being investigated for narcotics.
Guess which one of their children had the most amount of meth in their system? Nope, it was the 6-year-old, he was clean. It was the 18-month-old, their youngest.
But drugs are victimless right. These kids must have chosen to smoke meth with their parents.
Or their parents are a bunch of meth smoking trash that don’t give a rats ass about their kids.
Thanks to Lori for the tip.

I am so very grateful that I never felt the need to be part of the “in” crowd while in high school or college. My high school had the highest pregnancy rate in the nation as well as one of the highest drug/alcohol abuse rates. My life could be so different now if I had caved to peer pressure. I pray that I can instill enough self-worth in my children that they, too, can resist the lure of drugs and alcohol. As a foster parent, I see so many lives ruined by drugs. And, as a foster parent who has seen the abuse children go through so their parents can get high… I could NEVER suggest legalizing drugs.

::high five!:: Me too… never even felt the urge to start smoking. Most of the kids I knew in high school were smoking, at the very least.
I, too, hope that I can instill that self-worth into my children.

I watched a whole “intervention” special on a city in Alabama that was just being over taken by Meth is was so sad, the OB for the town said that 4 in 9 babies born were “Meth babies” and they would weight 4lbs or less (full term) and scream constantly going thru withdrawls. There was so many people in the town addicted, making and selling it Meth is was crazy. I had a meth addicted cousin and she lost everything, she once had a nice house, good job, nice car and a family and her and her husband lost it all behind getting high!

The thought of babies going through that makes me both sad and angry..

So sorry about your cousin… so sad when people make those wrong decisions. I hope she didn’t have children.

And there are actually people in this country who think it should be legalized. ::shakes head::

Unless this meth thing gets under control, and I do not claim to know how….many families exponentially will be formed and affected in the future.
Clearly a highly destructive drug…
