15 years for guy who killed his daughter because she wasn’t a son
One of the previous bloggers posted about Marcos Gomez-Romero here. He was arrested for beating his infant daughter, Ariana Rodriguez Romero, to death on Christmas Day of 2007. And why you may ask. For the oh so reasonable explanation that she wasn’t a boy.
As bad enough as that is Gomez-Romero was only sentenced to 15 years after he pleaded to no contest to aggravated manslaughter.
Why was he allowed to plead out to a lesser charge? This was murder not manslaughter. This scumbag should not only be put away for life he should have a date with the needle.
And don’t give me this crap about taxpayer money either. I would gladly watch my taxes go to putting baby killers to death.

The problem is that we see our justice system as just that. Instead it should be called a protection system. I get so tired of hearing people say “he did his time”…. what the ^%$# ever. It shouldn’t be treated like a child put in time out for 2 minutes for not sharing. Being put away should be to protect the rest of us, our children and any future children these scumbags could create from them. Any crime that involves murder (of any degree!), child abuse or sexual abuse should get LWOP… end of story. After about 10 years we would have many of these sick freaks off the street and maybe they wouldn’t be around to pass on their hatred to the next generation.

Kathy beat me to it. all the mom could do was provide one x chromosome, so it’s his own damn fault the baby wasn’t a boy.

I reread the original article that detailed the number of injuries found in the 4 month old child. Aggravated manslaughter is a joke. He is guilty of 1st degree murder which should be punishable by death. And, it should be effective immediately, not drawn over years and years of appeals. I will gladly allow my tax dollars to be spent on this scumbags lethal injection. I hate him.

Injection is too civilized for this fucker. I’m still voting for the shovel to the head. It could tak a few whacks to finish the job. That means suffering. Or shot him in the belly and let him bleed to death. Yeah…. Then whack him with the shovel. But not before his pecker gets removed with a BLUNT object. Oh….. I’m almost turned on now…..

Is there any way we can find out what prison he’ll be sent to and then start a letter writing campaign to his fellow inmates so that every last one of them KNOWS what he’s in there for? I’m SURE they would have a better idea of justice than the prosecutors and judge seemed to have in this case. I think if word gets around what he did, he won’t last 15 minutes, let alone 15 years.

this is horrendous and an insult to the baby girl’s memory! what a fucking (yes April, I said it) asshole, scumbag, loser. If I could get my hands on this guy I can not even list the things I would do to him and enjoy it I might add. because she was a girl… well jeez how dare she be born female, she has some nerve. I hope every minute in prison for him is miserable. FUCKING ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s blaming the baby for something that has more to do with him (from a medical article): If I had to pinpoint the most important or persuasive thing that determined a baby’s gender or sex, it would be whether the father -to – be’s X (girl producing) or Y (boy producing) sperm reached and fertilized the mother – to – be’s waiting egg first.
So, it’s not the baby’s fault that dad’s sperm wants to make girl babies. I suggest removal of the beans/frank and he’ll never have to worry about being disappointed by another of his children.

I have a question to ask. If everyone involved in this case and others where babies are raped, beaten, tortured WAS ON FILM FOR ALL TO SEE, would the verdicts that we always see here be SO damned light? I mean, all anyone has to do is spend a few seconds picturing it, and it’s a slam-dunk death sentence! I say…..
