    April- As for me personally- I don’t have an issue or objection about this post. I don’t care if a person is a Satanist, the Pope or my BFF- if they are accused of and proven guilty of any kind of abuse to a child, then that childs story needs to be told and the offender brought to justice.  Like I said….. that’s just me.

        Meh… I have all manner of problems with the so-called “Satanists”. I’ve had run-ins with them within the Pagan community, and have had nothing but annoyances from any of them. Not sure why they consider themselves “Pagan”, either. But that’s just me.

            Later part of November, right after Thanksgiving. Mike (my Knight) set up a treasure hunt in our house while I was sleeping. He placed post-it notes throughout, and had me follow one to another. When I had reached the next-to-last one, it led me to the silverware drawer in our Kitchen where he was already standing and waiting. I opened the drawer and there sits the last post-it stuck to the ring box, I was shocked to the point that the first thing I did was turned around to look at him and by then he was on his knee… Was sooooo awesome!

    Well, shit.  I might not have an update on the Becca Blackmore case for y’all after all.  She was supposed to show up in court today, but so far I’ve found fuck all about what went down.  Currituck being what it is, the best news sources are in Virginia, and WVEC is fucking terrible.  And I was hoping WAVY and WTKR would do a better job, but both are guilty of hiding or deleting stories about Currituck quickly after they’re posted online.  I need a subscription to see anything online at the Daily Advance (based in Elizabeth City, NC).  If anything does happen, I won’t know about it until late tonight or even late tomorrow.

    I need to vent…I just saw the most fucked up shit I ever saw in my life. And I’ve seen a lot of fucked up shit. My friend IM’d me last night at like 1am, said that he saw something really disturbing online and didn’t know what to do-I asked him what it was, he said “I don’t know but it looks like a picture of a baby being abused, I closed the page as soon as I realized what I was looking at.”

    WHAT!??

    He gave me the link. The site was 4chan…I went there myself to see what he was talking about. I don’t know much about 4chan, but it is NOT a porn site, it’s a pretty mainstream website that is set up like a message board, and there was a thread on there where the OP was bitching at people saying that he was a pedophile and he was tired of people “moralizing” him and saying he shouldn’t look at CP. So someone posted this picture in response…it looked like it had been taken with a cell phone camera. I’m not even going describe what it showed, but pretty much the worst abuse you could imagine being perpetrated on a baby still in diapers :*(

    I made 2 reports to cybertipline. A brief one last night when I was too upset to write much more than a basic overview and provide the link. I checked the link this morning just to see if it was down-thankfully it was, but I made a second report to cyertipline that was more detailed and left my contact information.

    I have been sick to my stomach all day. I’ve experienced CSA, I’ve worked with kids who have been abused and I’ve had to read the medical reports and forensic reports on abuse, but seeing that…and on a baby! I am just losing my mind, and I can’t stop thinking about this….I have a feeling that picture was taken and posted by someone who has the child in their possession right now, and it’s making me crazy not being able to do anything about it :( I want to hunt them down and fucking KILL them!

      *HUGS* I’ve had a few sites shut down for similar nightmare-inducing content. :( Fucked with my mind for months afterward (I made the mistake of investigating someone online while I was about 7 months pregnant… very stupid… but I did manage to get over 13 sites shut down before I was forced to leave it for my baby’s health and my own). But I still don’t feel I can legitimately say I know how you feel. I’m not a victim of CSA. I can’t imagine how much it would have fucked with my head seeing that stuff if I were. The baby I was pregnant with at the time is 2 years old now, and every once in a while I still have nightmares or nausea over it.
      I know it’s going to take you some time to get past what you saw. Let me know if you need someone to vent to, to bitch at, or to scream at.

      My understanding is that the chan sites are full of perverts, which is probably why that one person felt so comfortable venting there about the sane people moralizing, and that other person felt comfortable enough to post the child abuse image.

      As for your friend… many people’s first instinct, when seeing something like that online, is to close the tab and try to forget they’ve seen it. I’m glad it bothered your friend enough to talk to you about it, if not to report it to LE himself. It may result in that baby being rescued. Also, anytime you see something like that, you can also call your local police station… they’ll often ask you to report to NCMEC, but sometimes they
      will get the information from you and help with the investigation.

         Thanks Dodi…I’m a little confused though, I actually edited that comment after I posted it because I was concerned that it might harm the investigation or something. I’m glad you saw it and responded though, in any case.

        I did some google searches for “4Chan child pornography” and apparently this is not an isolated incident at all-they are rather notorious for this, and have been under investigation by the FBI on more than one occasion. Apparently the moderators there have a working relationship with the FBI now and they do report it any time it gets posted, along with the IP addresses of those involved. I’m still glad I reported it though, just in case. I have a feeling they don’t always follow through on that.

        The other thing I found was that when this is discussed on other forums (since like I said, it’s not an isolated incident) it’s usually in the context of someone worrying that they might get in trouble for accidentally stumbling upon it. And yeah, the advice people gave was pretty much  across the board “close the window, delete your cache, keep your mouth shut”. It’s disheartening, really. I wish more people knew about the cybertipline, although sadly I don’t think a lot of people would be compelled to even use it even if they did…more worried about self preservation than helping sexually abused and exploited children. I’m really proud of my friend-he’s a younger guy, somewhat naive about all of this and I know he felt uncomfortable asking about it (worried that I would think he was a pervert or something) but he did anyways, because I’m pretty steady on the drumbeat that silence=complicity and there is no excuse for looking the other way. I’m glad that it got through to him, it gives me a sliver of hope for the fate of humanity :)

        You are a fucking rock star for getting 13 sites shut down, btw. Far from stupid, although I can imagine how horribly that fucked with your head while you were pregnant and why you needed to stop for your own well being and your daughters. I’m just curious, have you heard of the group Perverted Justice? I just started getting involved with them and they have a branch that is specifically for investigating and exposing those so-called “Pedophile advocacy” sites…they were actually responsible for getting the largest CP bust in my states history (this actually happened on the street I used to live on which makes my hair stand on end)

          Unfortunately 4chan is one of the most popular sites on the internet and is a monster as far as content is concerned. They do not take threats lightly and will employ an army of script kiddies to bring down retribution. The infamous hacktivist group Anonymous was born out of 4chan. While I am familiar with their problems with child porn they do actually take proactive measures in removing it from their site and have had users reported to law enforcement. Their issues with child porn is not unlike the same problems Facebook and MySpace had with it as they have mountains of content they have to review.

          I’m not defending the site because it is filled with nothing but assclowns and trolls but trying to get 4chan shut down is like trying to hold back the ocean with a broom.

          Peej (Perverted Justice) is awesome! I’ve got a profile there, but haven’t been able to dig my heels in to do much with them (though I have passed on the odd tip or two.) But they have done so much to fight internet predators. (For anyone who might not know, they’re the ones who work with Dateline NBC on the “To Catch A Predator” series.)

          One thing I generally tell people who come across questionable or unquestionably illegal content online… report to NCMEC cybertipline first, then report it to the company that is supporting the site, and let them know it’s already been reported to NCMEC (that way they can lock out the user(s) so content can’t be removed, lock the site, etc., and save the content for investigators.)

          Thank you, but I still feel like I should have done more… but a friend threatened to make my husband shut off my internet access if I kept it up. x-p My friends love me. <3 I wrote about it, though, mostly to vent and get some of it out of my system, but also to disprove the claim by many that all the CP out there is either child modeling shots or old stuff from the 70's. If you ever feel up to reading it, I'll post the link. But there are some pretty heavy trigger warnings attached.

    Hey everyone. I’ve been missing in action since my baby was born. Been so busy with motherhood and looking for work now hardly have time for myself. I read this site often but just wanted to say. I am quite proud of my now ten month old~ I’ve made it through all the hard infant stuff with sleepless nights, first cold, and horrid doctor shots. My son has been a major blessing since I had him and as a young parent struggling. I can say any one that thinks because their tired or they have medical mental issues… they’re definently weak for hurting a child. I admit it is hard and it is rough at times specially now that he is biting. But I let him gnaw on me. I wish I could share pictures of my cutie. but there are a lot of people that are creeps out there. I’m trying not to have too many images circulate. but I am a proud mother and I love my baby.

    OK, Ladies and Gents… I’m wondering if anyone here has had any dealings with DCFS in the state of IL?  Someone I know is having some major problems (as in their daughters have been removed from the home, they weren’t given any paperwork, no legal counsel, nothing, to prepare for a court date on Tuesday, not even the actual location they need to show up at … long story, but I’m inclined to believe the person asking for advice on this one.)   If so, can I tell you their story and get some input?

      DCFS has this nasty habit of taking kids from good homes and then bitching about how they don’t have enough foster homes for those kids that actually need it.

      1:  Does your friends’ kids have any special needs.  ADHD,  ASD, ODD, ect. ?  Social Services get extra kickbacks for kids with special needs in care.

      2:  Are they YOUNG kids, as in little babies/toddlers/preschoolers?  If so, they’ll probably force her to sign them off for adoption.

        The girls are toddler/preschool aged, and the impression I got was that DCFS is only involved in the first place because the preschooler was signed up for the headstart program. That’s just fucked.

        If anyone has any info that might help this woman get her kids back (especially info pertaining to the state of IL), she would be grateful. She’s out of her mind with worry right now. :(

          Luckily, the girls are currently with family.  But mom and dad aren’t allowed to even see them until court Tuesday, they’ve been offered no legal counsel, have not been given any of the information they need to prepare, and still have not even been told which courthouse they need to show up at or what time.  They’ve only been told the day.

            I have no idea about the laws in IL.  I DO know that I’ve heard a few horror stories about foster care there.  I think, a few years ago, there was a mom who’s on the “Auto pick up” list if you know what I mean, because she chooses to home birth and home school…that’s it…and her son was beat to death in care.  I have no idea who she could get in touch with, other than a damn good family lawyer.  She should ask “Have you ever fought CPS and won?” “Have you EVER advised the parents to do whatever CPS asks no matter how rediculous?” 

            Like one of my Facebook friends in BC,  he lost his daughter to DFCS (MFCD up there)  because she wandered from her yard (she’s autistic)  He took all precautions,  built a 6′ fence,  and all that..but nope, she wandered.  She was unmanagable at school, but pretty good at home, and they thought he was “Overwhelmed” that’s it.  Because he has three kids (Single dad)  Two with Autism.  Know what, he wasn’t.

            This girl has been in “Care” drugged to the eyeballs on 2x the reccomended ADULT dose of anti-psychotics for almost a year now.    It’s the same all over.  They go after the “Cash cows” and ignore the kids who are truley in need until it’s way too late and they show up on this blog.  

            System is broke.  /off soapbox.

            I really REALLY hope your friend gets a damn good lawyer to fight for her.  She has an uphill battle ahead.  Tell her to record record record.  DFCS has this really nasty habit of swtiching stuff up on people and mindfucking.

      Awesome little girl! Not entirely sure it’s a BB story, though… too many parents don’t realize that their 7 (or 9, or even 12) year old could be so easily taken, especially if they’re just a couple isles away. These parents were lucky that their daughter is so scrappy and will probably never let her out of their site again. And with any luck, this will help other parents to realize how dangerous the world can be, and that it only takes less than a minute for their child to be gone.

    Leslie Boggs, the nasty ass skank who passed out drunk and smothered her baby in 2010, was back in the local news last night.  She pled guilty to the charges last week and was on home confinement while awaiting sentencing.  “Home confinement” in this case meant bar hopping, smoking pot, and making Facebook posts about wearing “beer goggles” (an accessory that would seem more useful for her boyfriend) just a few hours after she pled guilty.  Several concerned citizens recognized her and contacted the police, and now her ass is back in the South Central Regional Jail.   Hopefully they’ll keep her there until her sentencing, and for a good long time after.

       So she went to court, entered a guilty plea for killing her baby, and then went out to have a few brewskis?  What…was she celebrating or something? How could anyone be that callous? I hope she gets a nice long sentence handed down – with a few years tacked on for sheer stupidity and lack of compassion for her child.

        I hope the judge sees right through any supposed “remorse” she claims and throws the book at her.

    I posted this in the tips area but thought I would throw it in here as well.  Josh Powell killed himself and his two kid today by blowing up his house minutes after the social worker took them over there for a visit and was on the phone with police (because when he took the kids from her she smelled gas).   I know that we think that all the breeders are evil but this man…fuck me, this man is the epitome of evil.  He is a person of interest in his wife’s disappearance, when the kids were living with him and his father, the father (kids grandfather) was arrested for possessing child porn…the list just goes on and on.

       I heard the news on the local station here early this afternoon.  Josh Powell was a weak ass evil piece of shit that more likely than not killed his wife. ( the news is reporting that the boys told their counselor that mommy was riding in the trunk when they went camping and then she got lost) He knew that the boys were starting to talk and when he couldn’t get custody of them so he could stop them from talking he murdered them and committed suicide. EVIL BASTARD!!!
      My heart goes out to the boys grandparent, who had been raising them since Josh Powell’s father was arrested. That evil bastard killed their daughter and now he has taken their grandchildren as well.

      I hate the pressure in today’s society to be super thin, it’s ridiculous. And don’t get me started on BMI charts. What happens when you base a number on height and weight only, and the person is very muscular? You have active healty people that are muscular being classed as overweight, or even worse, healthy, active, muscular children being told they are overweight.

        This has happened to me for many years. I have always had a higher BMI than what I’m supposed to, but I have been dancing and swimming for over 20 years. (Started when I was 2 for dancing and 4 for swimming.) I’ve had lots of muscle and been fit with healthy eating habits.

          Yeah my daughter is FAR from fat. I mean she’s skinny as rail.  She’s almost 5′ tall and only around 50lbs.  She’s active, and fit.  She enjoys video games but she also likes going bowling and swimming as well..so we do those as much as possible.  That and there’s an indoor play area that we go to as well to help BOTH kids blow off some steam…

          I cook from scratch around %85 of the time. (the rest of the time I’m just cooked out or just plain lazy) So the foods I feed her are GOOD foods, nutritious and well balanced.  Her behavior is starting to go down hill so I think I need to up her egg/good cholesterol intake, hope she eats the scotch eggs I made her (Baked not fried!)  

          I think my main worry is her not having enough fat to start puberty at the right age.  Late puberty is just as humiliating as early onset.  I had the early one, one of my BFF’s in high school had late…and she was borderline anorexic since she was 6yrs old due to some home issues.

    Ok guys,  talk me down here.

    Found out that for the THIRD TIME THIS WEEK.  My daughter adamantly refused to eat her lunch and threw it on the ground to deliberatly waste it.  

    1: We’re pretty hurting here for cash..so this rubs me the wrong way because of that

    2: She has autism/aspergers  BUT I make the sandwiches the way SHE  likes (toasted,  no mayo, ect)  

    3: She has this “rule” against leftovers.  (Sorry Miss Priss, get the fuck over it is what I think)

    4: She has in the past, not eaten for 2 weeks except for one small snack every day.  That’s it.

    So what the hell should I do?  She’s not gonna eat supper, she has that hair up her ass…I’m pretty livid right now.  I’m tempted to give her nothing BUT sandwiches until she either eats one or has to be stuck in the hospital on a tube feed.  (Not my ideal trust me.  I’m just getting sick of her attitude about this.)

    IMO,  it’s a “rule” thing in her head.  She has these “rules” and I’m sorry but  she might have Aspergers/Autism but that does NOT make her ‘rules’ acceptable.  EVERY Fing kid eats sandwiches, without a complaint.  Mine, refuses to.  She refuses to eat leftovers too.  You guys know how this economy is. >.<  

    So:  This is what I plan on doing (this has been an ongoing issue this week so..)  

    1:  no NintendoDS, No Ipad, NO Video games at all at least today.
    2: She gets a peanut butter sandwich for supper, instead of the roast chicken and sweet potato fries *one of her fave meals*
    3: No Brownie sleepover on Friday, (She has been pitching mad tantrum meltdowns and it's not fair to the leaders)  

    So  input?

      I feel for you my daughter, who is not autistic, is a picky eater and will refuse to eat for me at times too. I blame her grandma and papa because at their house she rules the roost. I do not believe what you are doing is unacceptable, you could be locking her in a dog cage with duct tape over her face.

      Sounds like you have a handle on it.  I’ve never heard of a kid starving to death when food is available.  Eventually she’ll get hungry enough that she’ll eat the sandwich – especially if you are making it the way she likes.  I have a relative with an Aspergers kid, and the child occasionally refuses a meal (or several).  As long as you are offering food that you know she likes, then you are doing your part. The restrictions from other activities seem appropriate to me too.  Don’t let it get to you.  Her ‘rules’ won’t lead to starvation – eventually she’ll capitulate.

      He won’t touch anything with  cheese on or in it if he knows it’s there.   Absolutely no condiments or gravies.  Foods can’t touch.  He also will rarely eat sandwiches.  Hell he won’t eat a hamburger on bread even.  But he’s found that he really likes bologna sandwiches and will eat them all day every day if you’ll let him…

      ME TOO. Crying is the only form of communication they have. I remember one night my week old daughter cried literally for 7 hours straight. I walked, rocked, nursed, burped, checked her diaper until I eventually ended up just sitting on the bed, holding her and crying along with her (thankfully this is when my mom walked into our bedroom, scooped the baby up and told me to get some sleep)

      I consider spanking child abuse. I don’t see a need for anyone, ever, to hit a child. I don’t think people who spank their kids once and a while are horrible people or anything (I was spanked myself) but I think once you open up the door and say “it’s ok to hit your kid” that makes it possible for parents to beat the shit out of their kids and excuse it away…it’s like a euphamism. How many times have you seen a child abuser say “yeah, I spanked him a little too hard”?

      My daughters paternal grandparents are fundies, and they used the James Dobson book (which IS a manual for child abuse, no question) to “discipline” their sons in the name of “God”. One of them who is severely mentally handicapped. My daughters father grew up to be a POS and a convicted felon, so it didn’t work on him.

      I have told them in no uncertain terms they can shove that book up their ass when it comes to my kid. If she comes back with so much as a scratch on her, they will never see her again.

      I don’t know enough about the other books to comment…I stuck to the Dr. Sears method, and did attachment parenting when she was a baby. Now we use time outs and alternative punishments (i.e. if she leaves her toys out, I put them in a bin and at the end of the month we donate all of them to a charity for abused children) I consider myself pretty strict, but I would never lay a hand on her.

        They are child abuse manuals.  The Ezzo’s Babywise has been linked to Failure to Thrive in infants due to the strict feeding regimen they put out…  and the Pearl’s manual, well here’s a little snippet:

            Later, a plumber’s supply line is a good spanking tool. You can get it at Wal-Mart or any hardware store. Ask for a plastic, ¼ inch, supply line. They come in different lengths and several colors; so you can have a designer rod to your own taste. They sell for less than $1.00. A baby needs to be trained all day, everyday. It should be a cheerful, directing training, not a correction training. If a 10-month-old plays in the dirt in the flowerpot, a simple swat to the hand accompanied with the command “No,” said in a cheerful but authoritative voice, should be sufficient.

        Inorite?    And Ezzo isn’t the cry it out guy,  well he kinda is he’s the “Only feed your baby on THIS SCHEDULE and do not vary because all they do is manipulate you”  I think he suggests once every 4hrs for newborns or something stupid like that… and it’s a strict, Sleep, eat, wake cycle because if you nurse baby to sleep baby will get used to it and need it FOR EV AH.  (yeah  looks at my 8yo DD and my 5yo DS who were both nursed to sleep…nope, not nursing em anymore…they sleep just fine..oh I co-slept too)

          Me too!! I nursed my daughter to sleep until she was around 17-18 months when we started transitioning to rocking in the chair and reading a story in place of the breast.  And we coslept – made it really easy to wake up just enough to get her latched on and then I went back to sleep and she never really woke up either because she usually only had to whimper a couple of times before I’d respond. Better sleep for both of us – win win win.

      I think it’s absurd to listen to anyone that gets parenting advice from a compilation of stories written in the bronze age. If we followed the bible as closely as it says to, we would all remain savages who kill entire towns because a group of people in that town don’t believe in god, up to and including “ripping apart” the pregnant women. Sounds so loving, who wouldn’t want to raise their children according to this book? These people promote ancient child abuse as parenting practices.

      Child abuse. My daughter has Asperger’s which makes me doubly glad that I went with William and Martha Sears instead of parenting information. Despite the vicarious trauma of 9/11 a week before, the stress from my fracturing marriage to her dad, I  tried to show her as much love and affection as I could since he was deployed and couldn’t. I had a natural childbirth, breastfed, co-slept, wore her in a sling (I DID use Pampers because she generated enough laundry as it was).

        You know… now you mention it, I think she did…. purple cast? Ug. I think someone was saying (not sure where) that it was the dad that did it, and I told them to lay off until evidence is found to prove it… I feel like a complete douche now.

          I just wish SOMEONE in the DiPietro household would grow a pair of balls and put an end to the suspense already. Also odd that on the night she went missing, he and his girlfriend AND HIS GIRLFRIEND”S CHILD all fell asleep in his room but Ayla was left by herself.

            I love the name Ayla and that little girl, suits the name so very well.  (The character in the book was a towheaded blue eyed charmer too) :( At least you can tell the woman actually knew how to read a book by giving her child that name.  Can’t say the same for Cletus who’s like “aww mah babby gurl dun gone missing!”  Yeah, in the back of your pickup truck into the woods maybe. >.<

    I am. We are moving from Georgia to either Texas or Montana in two weeks so I am in the middle of job hunting/house hunting/packing. I still come by to check the articles but haven’t been able to take the time to comment. Once I get to wherever I’m going and get settled, I will be back with a vengeance (sp?), lol!

      I just left your site. I was unable to get through most of it because of the memories it stirred up. But I can say that I am a survivor and have taken my life back from my abuser after a lot of therapy and gaining the understanding that I am not a whore, slut etc. and am a pretty darn good and amazing person! I thought about sending in my story but I just couldn’t at this time. Maybe sometime in the future. Thank you for being brave enough to put this “dirty secret” out in public forum. My motto for life has become: Always keep your head up, shoulders back and never let them see fear.
