All we need is a shiny red super stock dodge and we’d have us a little old lady from…well, Daytona. I decided it counts since there is nobody meaner and some of the profits were rumoured to be used to buy a car. It’s my excuse for an article title, deal with it.
So, Grandma Patty Bigbee wound up with possession of her 8 week old grandson due to the child’s mother, Stephanie Bigbee Fleming, being incarcerated on unrelated charges. Rather than take care of the child and spoil it bloody rotten like all grandmas are SUPPOSED to do, this hanky skank decided to make a profit off of little Aidan. Granny and her boyfriend, Lawrence Works, worked up a little get rich scheme to sell the child for $75,000. Even better, they were going to rip off their captive uterus (Mommy Stephanie) in the process. They were only intending to give Mommy $9K of the profits…who was apparently going to purchase a car with this money. This leaves me a little confused as to how she was going to buy a car or even get t his money when the article says she was already in jail for something else. (one article says she was on probation, two others say she was incarcerated.)
All three of these winners have quite an interesting criminal record that does not scream parent material in the least. So it should be no surprise when Grandma of the year contacts the biological daughter she has only reunited with recently thanks to facebook. This other biological daughter, Danielle Skiver, admitting to wanting more children. Well, it just so happens Granny has a baby boy that needs a good home. Danielle Skiver agreed to adopt the child but apparently was quite taken aback by Granny’s “adoption fee” of $75,000.
Luckily Danielle saw the giant red flag waving at this scenario and contacted Tampa police and began working with them to nail Granny and her accomplices to the wall. When even threatening to sell the child to someone else failed to get Danielle to agree to the high price, Granny came down….gradually to the tune of $30,000. Family discount, I guess.
The Grandma and boyfriend were arrested in a parking lot at the sight of the trade off. All three of hem are being charged with the illegal sale or surrender of a child. Granny is also being charged with communication fraud.
