Bad report card ends in child abuse charges

I am not even going to mention the state, I will just pointout that I expected this to be worse.

Daymaris Vazquez, 35 of Tampa, has high hopes for her 12 year old son.  She received notice that he son had an F on his report card. She confronted her son regarding his grades, she then hit him in the face breaking his glasses, choked him and beat him with a spatula until it produced marks on him. She also threatened to kill him.  Ugh.

The father who is separated from Daymaris, made a complaint to the police once he heard what happened to his son. Thank God we finally have a father with some common sense.

The mother and grandmother are said to speak very little English if any at all. Daymaris has lived in the US for 10 years and her citizenship status is currently being checked. Despite the language barrier, the mother and grandmother were still able to explain that the 12 year old boy is lazy and mouthy. Isn’t every tween like that though?

I have to say it sounds as though the grandmother is defending her daughter’s actions. What a loving family environment.

Daymaris is currently sitting in jail with felony child abuse charges and could be deported pending her citizenship status. Personally I say send her butt back home. The child seems to have a decent father and the mother is useless.

Thanks to jrut for the tip.

She should have helped her son with his studies, not abuse him just because he got a ‘F’ in school.

Whatever happened to grounding the kid and making his life miserable till he brought his grades up? My mother was a single mother and when I brought home a bad grade she reduced my life to that of a nun. No TV, no music, no friends, no phone, NOTHING BUT HOMEWORK. Believe me I made all A’s the next semester!

No shit! I just busted my daughter yesterday (Lying ass little girl has let her grades slide, BAD, and I’m not going to allow her to waste my fucking money. I don’t pay way too fucking much in tuition for her to be getting C’s and D’s.), and I just took away EVERYTHING!!! No phones, no internet, no going anywhere. I used these exact words, “You can consider this your prison, and I’m the Warden.” She was unpleased, to say the least, but I’m sure this will get a better result than beating the shit out of her. I did have to stop myself for slapping the shit out of her snotty ass, but that just shows if you have a LITTLE self control, it can be done.
And I busted her with a belly button ring as well (and got a bullshit story about where she got it done), and did I beat her? Nope, told her it looked whorish on a 15 year old girl, made her take it out, and told her she better not even think about getting insulted when I checked every once in a while to make sure that she didn’t put that shit back in.

      I need a fucking break.

My genius of the same age, had a friend pierce hers last year. Why? “Because I knew you’d say no.” Ya think?
Same thing, though. Made her take it out and said “Don’t get pissy when I check to make sure it’s not back. You’ll be lucky if I don’t start full body checks to make sure nothing else gets pierced.”

She said exactly the same thing when I asked her why she didn’t even aske me first. The fucked up thing, she got it done at a shop. She claims she went with some random friend who knew the guy, but that shit is too regulated and I don’t think someone working in a reputable shop would do that, it’s a criminal offense to mutilate a child’s body without parental consent and a HUGE licensing violation. I think her ex-friend’s mom got it done when she took her 14 year old daughter to get her lip pierced (Classy, hey?) and the only reason I have not beat the shit out of that woman (There’s other shit, too) is because I promised my mommy I wouldn’t and I always do what my mother says (Now).

Don’t you just love the moms who want to be “cool” so they allow their kids and their kids’ friends to do things most decent mothers would never agree to?

            Yep, they’re great, aren’t they?

My 14 year old niece got her lip pierced, and the whole family told her it looked dumb, but otherwise left her alone. She got tired of it hurting and took the lip ring out, and it grew back. She hasn’t wanted to get it re-piereced. She did it to look “cool” for a pierced boy she likes, but I don’t gather it worked as intended.
