Aunt faces charges in shackled teen mystery:

That headline makes it sound like an episode of Scooby-Doo rather than a blatant violation of someone’s basic human rights.

Anyway, I’m sure by now you’ve heard about the 17-year-old California boy who was being held against his will and escaped his captors. There are a lot of Bad Breeders to go around in this story.

First let’s go to the married couple that were holding the boy captive, Kelly Layne Lau and Michael Luther Schumacher. They had 4 kids of their own, ages 1, 3, 7 and 9, in the same house where they kept a 17-year-old shackled against his will. How did that work? ‘Honey, don’t touch the prisoner, he’s dirty.’

Not to mention that her ‘About Me’ from her MySpace says…

30 yr. old mom of 4 beautiful kids. Happily married to a man who I love to death. He is my best friend and a wonderful father to our 4 kids and I wouldn’t trade him for anything in this world. We live in Northern California where I am a stay at home mom and my husband is a Contractor. We have a typical life I guess-our oldest daughter is involved with Girl Scouts and is our Ballerina in training. My boys just kick back and wait there turn to do something fun. We have a dog named BUBBA and no white picket fence but our neighbor has one. LOL!!!!!!

Obviously she left off the part where they have a teenager chained in a pit.

Now let’s turn to the boy’s recently arrested and looks like dude aunt, 43-year-old Carmen Ramirez. Social workers took the boy from his abusive father. So he then goes to live with his aunt. She in turn gets arrested for abusing the boy. Then the boy gets placed in a foster home. He runs away from the foster home and ends up back with crazy Aunt Carmen who somehow convinces Lau and Schumacher to help keep him chained up. Who in the blue hell has a thought process like that?

If it was one lone person who held the boy I wouldn’t be surprised. If it was a couple I’d be a little perplexed. But three freakin’ people all considered chaining up a 17-year-old boy a good idea?

And you know the excuses from either the suspects or the defense attorneys are going to be some good ones. I can almost hear them now blaming the victim. They’ll say he was a wild child that had behavioral problems and they couldn’t keep him under control. And that will just be for starters.

Thnaks to LadyJade and Jamie for their help.

Remember the video from a few years ago where the two idiots got a 2 and 4-year-old brothers to smoke a blunt? They’re both going to jail. 20-year-old Vanswan Polty pleaded guilty to two counts of injury to a child causing bodily harm and three counts of burglary of a habitation and was sentenced to seven years behind bars. The boys’ uncle, Demetris McCoy, pleaded guilty to child abuse last July and was sentenced to 8 years.

So why is this on PBB you ask since neither of them were the Breeder-in-Charge? I’ll show you why…

At the time of the incident, the boys’ mother, Shatorria Russell, was asleep in a nearby room. Ms. Russell has since tested positive for drugs and relinquished custody of her boys, a CPS official said. The children are in foster care and will be placed for adoption.

Again, more people putting their addictions in front of their kids.

Thanks to JoAnna for the tip.

When Nicole Beercroft was 17 she hid her pregnancy from everybody. She secretly gave birth to a baby girl at her mother’s house. Rather than going to a safe haven she plunged a knife into the newborn one hundred-thirty times. Then she threw the baby’s body into a dumpster.

This week Beercroft was sentenced to life in prison for the murder. Her defense attorney tried to argue that the baby was stillborn. I guess somehow that’s supposed to make it better.

Prosecuting attorneys say that Beercroft was well aware of Minnesota’s safe haven law.

How much hate can one 17-year-old girl have to stab a newborn baby over 100 times?

9-year-old makes beer run; dad charged with child abuse:

The driving age in most states is 16. In New Jersey it’s 17 and I think one of the Dakotas has a driving age of 14. Still, none of those are 9-years-old.

That didn’t matter to Joshua Fagan of Cape Coral, Florida. When Fagan needed to make a beer run on Thanksgiving he was already half in the bag. Rather than driving himself or, God forbid, actually going without beer for a day, Fagan made his 9-year-old son drive the truck. Police pulled them over three blocks from the house and there was an open case in the vehicle. Fagan allegedly told police he didn’t do anything wrong.

The local news station, whose article I’ve linked to, decided they would tell his neighbors about Fagan’s arrest. If you can’t find news make it, right? Anyway let’s see what one of his neighbors said…

Jim and Leslie Gower say Josh Fagan is a good father. “They go camping, they go fishing, they love each other,” Leslie Gower says. “I know he’s a good father, but he’s probably stressed,” Jim Gower adds. “He lost his job in construction, his wife divorced him, and he takes care of two sons.”

Cry me a freakin’ river. It’s enablers like this in our society that allow actions like this to continue. Would they have said the same thing if the 9-year-old ended up flipping the truck and killing everyone inside it?

I don’t care if Hitler kicked his dog. Your child’s well being should be a much higher priority than getting your drink on.

No bail for teen charged with killing son, 1:

Police in Worcester, Mass. arrested 16-year-old Nga Thi Truong girl in the murder of her toddler son Khyle Truong. It’s alleged that she used the boy’s teddy bear to smother him.

Police say she confessed to killing him because allegedly she was frustrated at the boy because he was sick.

Truong’s boyfriend, 17-year-old Edwin Vasquez who is not the baby daddy, disputes the confession and says police pressured her into confessing.

“I didn’t hear anything, and I was sleeping right next to him,” Vasquez said.

Vasquez said the baby had a fever and woke up a few times Saturday night, before Truong changed his diaper and fed him about 8 a.m.

“I heard Khyle drinking the bottle, and he was fine,” Vasquez said. “About 11 (a.m.) I woke up … she was screaming — she was screaming Khyle’s name. Khyle was not moving at all.”

Vasquez is not Khyle’s baby daddy but he is a baby daddy as Truong is currently pregnant with his child.

Truong has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge and has been ordered held without bail.

How sad is it that she used what I’m sure the boy saw as an object of security to allegedly murder him?

In a perfect world teens would be sterile until they could prove that they’re responsible.

26-year-old Brandon Holley of Middletown, R.I. was arrested for beating his 8-month-old son. He admitted to police that he stepped on, kicked and punched the baby. Of course the coward did this when the mother was not around. This happened on Thanksgiving morning. When the mother returned they all went to her mother’s for Thanksgiving instead of going to a hospital. When the grandparents saw the child’s injuries then the baby was taken to the hospital.

As usual in abuse cases like this Holley gave ‘conflicting stories’ to police. I think that’s news-speak for ‘he was lying’.

Another case of some abusive monster who thinks he’s smarter than doctors and police combined.

If you leave your 4-year-old daughter at a liquor store for 40 minutes and are arrested only four blocks away you may have a drinking problem.

That’s what happened to Lee Ann Harris and Damen L. Boston of Springfield, Illinois. They allegedly told the clerk at the liquor store they did not want the girl anymore. Last time I checked a liquor store was not a safe haven. I’m dying to know what fine selection of liquor they bought as well.

The child was unharmed but was taken into DCFS custody.
