Bad Boyfriend beats baby with belt over messy diaper change

Austin Hamilton

Austin Hamilton

24-year-old Austin Hamilton of Tampa, Florida was recently arrested for the beating death of his girlfriend’s one-year-old son, Sincere Williams. A coroner’s report said that Sincere died from blunt force trauma to the abdomen. Hamilton allegedly confessed to police that he struck Sincere ten times with a belt and dropped him on his head after Sincere urinated on him during a diaper change.

I was spared diaper changes since my (step)kids were out of diapers when I got married. However my dad told me that I was quite the surprise geyser when I was in diapers. Considering my dad was not the most calm man I ever knew how much rage did Hamilton have to possess in order to do that to one-year-old child? He would have had to have either taken off his belt or gone to get a belt before striking the child which for most people would have been enough time to give them pause about what they were about to do. Also Hamilton had a child from a previous relationship so I doubt this was a new experience for him.

Sincere’s mother was working at the time of the beating. The couple had known each other for years and she thought Hamilton would be fine with the children since he had children of his own. However Hamilton in the past has been charged with battery, domestic violence and had been investigated by CPS. All charges were dropped but you have to think that sometimes where there’s smoke there’s a raging inferno of a forest fire sometimes.

There’s nothing wrong with screening the background of your significant other. It may save your children’s lives and yours. One possible service is instantcheckmate.com which has an A- rating by the Better Business Bureau although your results may vary. You may also want to contact your local police or courts for records availability.

Meth head boyfriend molests kids, mom allows it and then some

Muse and Ussery

Muse and Ussery

Prepare to gag. That’s pretty much all I can say.

In Bradenton, Florida, police there have arrested 42-year-old Shawn Ussery for allegedly molesting his girlfriend’s kids over a 5-year-stretch. If that wasn’t enough he’s also accused of not only smoking meth around one of the kids but making one of them smoke it too which authorities say was confirmed with a drug test.

If that wasn’t enough the kids’ mother, 37-year-old, Amy Muse allowed the molestations to happen. She’s been charged with failure to report the abuse. And just when you think they couldn’t be any more depraved…

Instead, the children told deputies, Muse grew jealous, and forced one child to watch as she performed oral sex on Ussery, despite the child’s protests.

What neurons, synapses and grey matter could these savages be missing to think that any of this is acceptable? I’ve had my fair share of infatuations when I was younger but if any of them came to me and said they wanted to molest kids I’d run like hell from that box of crazy straight to the police.

Are people so entitled now that they think there are no more taboos? If so I hate to see what forms of abuse the next generation will dream up.

Adoptive parents of Erica Parsons arrested on fraud charges

Erica Parsons' missing poster

Erica Parsons’ missing poster

Last week the adoptive parents of Erica Parsons,Casey and Sandy Parsons, were arrested by federal agents on fraud charges. Erica has been missing from their Salisbury, North Carolina home since 2011 but the Parsonses have allegedly been collecting government benefits on Erica since that time.

The pair have been charged with 76 counts of various fraud charges stemming from Erica’s disappearance ranging from mail fraud to healthcare fraud among others. The pair was released and have been ordered to wear monitors.

Hopefully this will jar one of the two into telling authorities what really happened to Erica instead of the outrageous story that she went to live with her biological grandmother ‘Nan’. If I had to take a guess on who will crack first I would imagine it would be Sandy Parsons as Casey probably doesn’t feel like she did anything wrong.

Anyone with information about the disappearance of Erica Lynn Parsons is asked to contact the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, 1st. Lt. Chad Moose at 704-216-8687 or Investigator Sara Benfield at 704-216-8739.

Bad boyfriend beats baby buries body under bridge

Joshua Markus Beard

Joshua Markus Beard

I’ve been trying to keep the language on the site cleaner than in the past but damn that’s one Frankenstein looking motherfucker. That’s 20-year-old Joshua Markus Beard of Arlington, Texas. He’s been charged in the brutal beating death of his girlfriend’s 19-month-old daughter, Tylea Moore. Beard not only allegedly struck the child and threw her on the bed so hard that she bounced out to the floor but he also stomped on her stomach so hard that the baby was vomiting green fluid. Eventually Tylea succumbed to her injuries at the hands of Markus. Rather than calling police Marks and the girl’s mother, 17-year-old Alexis Botello, allegedly buried Tylea under a bridge. They were caught not only after Beard’s aunt reported the child missing but also after the pair were identified on Wal-Mart security cam footage of them buying shovels and gloves.

I know it’s everyone’s first instinct to attack the mother in a case like this but I ask that you sheath your pitchforks for now. She has been arrested and has been charged with tampering with evidence. What we don’t know is if this was a domestic abuse issue or not. I mean if he was willing to violently kill her child like that what would he be willing to do to her. For all we know there could have been domestic violence that had never been reported. We all know that not every incident of domestic violence gets reported to police unfortunately.

Again though, I feel the need to address future or possible abusers like this. The best way to make sure that police catch you and send you to jail is to kill a child. You will not get away with it. You are not smarter than the police. They will use every method at their disposal to catch you and put you away for a long time. And God forbid you do something like that in a state like Texas where they execute more killers than most countries. Beard has been charged with capital murder so it’s a real possibility for him. So think about that before you raise your hand like that to a child you cowards.

If you’re a victim of domestic violence you can go to The National Domestic Violence Hotline website or call them at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233).

Bad Breeder and Boyfriend accused of beating toddler into a stroke

stroke12

Not a whole lot of detail on this story but in 2013 April Koch, 22, and Joshua Grabowski, 22, both of Irwin, Joshua Grabowskia, are both accused of beating Koch’s then one-year-old daughter so bad that the toddler had a stroke. Of course when the couple were questioned they said that the girl, Gabriella Berry, fell out of her crib and hit her head on a coffee table. Once again innocent furniture is being blamed for something that idiots do.

Gabriella is now in the custody of her father Robert Berry but Koch still gets a four-hour a week supervised visit. Here’s Mr. Berry describing what his daughter has been going through…

Gabriella Berry’s father, Robert Berry, said the little girl is taking medication for seizures, sees a therapist up to three times a week and has to wear a brace on her left arm and left leg due to the injuries. He remains thankful she survived the alleged abuse.

“I just have to thank God. That’s really the only way to put it,” Robert Berry said. “I just hope she gets back to normal. That’s the biggest thing.”

I’ve seen adults try to deal with the after effects of a stroke and it broke my heart. I can’t even imagine a child who’s barely two having to deal with that.

Of course the alleged abusers are now expecting their own child. I wonder how long it will take before they have that child taken away from them.

Look, my message here is to abusers, you can’t fool the medical professionals. They can tell when a child has been abused. They are smarter than you will ever be. It just makes it worse for you if you try to hide it from police. Or you could, you know, not hit your kids in the first place you idiots.

I tried finding a charity or something where donations could be sent to help with Gabriella’s medical expenses but I wasn’t able to find one. If anyone finds it please leave it in the comments.

Thanks to Stephan for the tip.

Utah Breeder killed 6 newborns because of meth

Megan Huntsman

Megan Huntsman

You may remember the story from back in April about Megan Huntsman from Pleasant Grove, Utah. She was arrested for allegedly murdering seven newborns found in her house. Recently more details have been made public about the crimes.

According to investigators Huntsman killed her babies because she was a meth addict who simply did not want to care for any children. Forensic investigators have also said that one of the babies was stillborn. Not murdering six babies is much better than killing seven.

DNA testing also showed that all seven of the babies were fathered by Huntsman’s estranged husband who is said to have first discovered the bodies. He did time for meth spending several years in jail. Police are unsure how he could have not been aware of his wife’s many pregnancies. Since I’ve never been hooked on meth I can’t speak towards its cognitive hazards but you would think that even a tweaker would notice seven pregnancies that were carried to term not to mention seven home births. Yet police say that he is not implicated in the killings.

As I said in my previous post about Huntsman, abortion is readily available in Utah. While I don’t agree with the practice It would have been more responsible of her than murdering her newborns.

If you or someone you know has a meth addiction you may want to think about contacting the national substance abuse referral line at 1-800-662-HELP (4357) or visit their website.

One man’s plea to parents to stop leaving their kids in hot cars

Terry Williams of North Carolina recently took to YouTube to post his plea to parents to stop leaving their kids in hot cars. In the video Mr, Williams states that he';s in his car in Raleigh, North Carolina on a 90 degree day. Living in North Carolina myself I can attest that the summer has been pretty brutal here as it usually is.

I urge everyone to watch and share this video.

Kansas updates their Safe Haven law

Seal_of-Kansas

Speaking of safe haven laws, because we were you know, a new safe haven law went into effect in the state of Kansas as of July 1st.

Previously there was an issue with identifying the parent who dropped off their child after one mother was sought because authorities thought she was in medical danger. The new law makes identification less of an issue except where abuse is suspected.

You can read the new law here. (PDF file)

Kids left in hot cars: What’s the solution?

kidsincar

It happens every summer doesn’t it? Every summer we get inundated with stories about parents who leave their kids in the car during the extremely hot weather. This summer is no different as the story of Justin Ross Harris from Georgia has been taking up the headlines. Harris is a different case however as he’s accused of allegedly leaving his 33-month-old son Cooper in the car intentionally while he went to work.

As an aside this story is too Nancy Grace for me. I bet she even made one of her stupid twitter hashtags about this. #broiledbaby or something like that.

Getting back to the point most of the parents who leave their kids in hot cars do so accidentally. Granted there are the cases where a selfish person will go into a strip club or get their hair done while leaving their kids in the car. I’m not talking about those people.a I’m talking about the people who genuinely forget that they left their kid in the car while under the influence of no substances. What do we do with them? Is prosecution really the answer? Is there some kind of education that’s needed? Something is obviously needed as unnecessary child deaths caused by leaving them in a hot car happen every year.

Thanks to Ashley and Nancy for the tip.

Time to talk about Safe Haven laws again

baby-safe-haven

I must be getting soft in my old age. Tipster Misty sent me a story about a 27-year-old woman from Florida who gave birth at home then placed the newborn in a trash bag where she died. I used to go ballistic over reading stories like this but for some reason now I couldn’t be too harsh on this woman. We don’t know her situation.

The woman was Hispanic and lived with her adult siblings and mother. We don’t know what was going on at the home. We don’t know if the woman herself was in danger from the family if it was revealed or from someone else. She has been charged with manslaughter however. Instead of piling on this woman I decided it was time to talk about the state Safe Haven Laws in the U.S. again.

Each of the 50 states has their own law in which you can drop off a newborn baby at certain places safely with no questions asked. With so many of these stories that constantly show up in the news it makes me wonder if the states are not doing enough to inform the public about these laws. So I’m going to give them a little hand.

For instance this story took place in Florida and according to Florida’s Safe Haven law

You can leave your baby, up to 7 days old, with an employee at any hospital, emergency medical services station or with a fire fighter at any fire station in Florida.

They also have a crisis line you can call at 1-877-767 BABY (2229).

You can look here for your own state’s Safe Haven laws here.
