Miss. Breeder charged with dumping newborn…again

Police release more details on abandoned baby:

Cora Lynn Watkins

Cora Lynn Watkins

25-year-old Cora Lynn Watkins has been arrested in Houston, Mississippi, for allegedly abandoning her newborn baby in a storage shed. She allegedly gave birth alone, left the baby wrapped in a blanket then returned to work. Luckily some children heard the baby crying. The article states that the kids got some family members but it’s unclear, to me at least, if they were Watkins’ family members. Either way the baby was taken to the hospital and at last report is doing well.

However this isn’t the first time that Watkins has done something like this. She was arrested back in 2010 for abandoning a baby at a Salvation Army. She received probation for that offense and was just released from probation last month. I doubt this time she’ll be so lucky.

It may have been a while since we discussed this but baby dumping like this is so unnecessary. All 50 states have Safe Haven laws where you can drop a newborn off safely with no questions asked. Specifically in Mississippi you can drop a newborn up to 3 days old at a hospital, adoption center, emergency room or EMS station.

Once again I have to ask are the safe haven laws so unknown that this keeps happening?

Hand sanitizer gets rid of all sorts of germs, like special needs children

Belle Chasse mom booked with fatal poisoning of her 17-month-old son:

Erika Wigstrom

Erika Wigstrom

Usually when there’s a story about a Breeder injecting their kids with some foreign substance it entails Munchhausen By Proxy syndrome. Not this time. In this instance the sole purpose of the injection was to kill.

17-month-old Lucas Ruiz of Belle Chase, Louisiana, was born with Down’s Syndrome and three holes in his heart. I can only imagine the emotional and financial strain that has to put on a family. It seems that Lucas’ Breeders wanted nothing to do with that strain. Lucas’ incubator, 20-year-old Erika Wigstrom, has been arrested in the alleged poisoning death of her son. Wigstrom is accused of injecting an alcohol based hand sanitizer into Lucas. She calls it a mercy killing and investigators say that she has no remorse. Allegedly it was not the first time she tried to kill him. Police are also saying that Wigstrom has confessed of giving Lucas perfume in order to try to kill him. But wait, there’s more.

Lucas’ sperm donor, 20-year-old Cesar Ruiz,is already in jail for allegedly pouring run into his son’s feeding tube while Lucas was in the hospital in 2012 which was also featured on this site. Lucas was only two-months-old at the time.

Maybe after two attempts at trying to kill your son God/The Universe/Fate/etc. is trying to tell you something. Something like this child needs his parents to love and provide for him no matter what ailments he may have.

Wigstrom is calling this a mercy killing. There was no mercy here, only arrogance. There are certain medical instances where a mercy killing may be applicable. This was not one of them.

She has been charged with capital murder and can be eligible for the death penalty. Hopefully if she does get the death penalty ‘they’ll’ use one of those lethal injection drugs that cause convicts to burst into flames.

Once again thanks to Helen for the tip.

2-year-old had 48 packets of heroin at daycare

Heroin found on 2-year-old at Paterson day care center:

Phillips Young

Phillips Young

When I got married my stepchildren were already too old for daycare so I don’t know what you send with your kids to daycare. Lunch? A snack maybe? Possibly whatever their security item is? I do know one thing that you shouldn’t send to daycare with your kids. That would be 48 packets of heroin, even if it is New Jersey.

Police in Paterson, New Jersey arrested 27-year-old Phillips Young after daycare workers found 48 packets of heroin in his 2-year-old son’s jacket. Luckily daycare employees caught it in time and no one came in contact with any of the drugs and no kids were harmed.

The article doesn’t state why the heroin was in the kid’s jacket but I would imagine that one would think that if they were stopped by police that the cops wouldn’t shakedown a 2-year-old. You just need to remember to take it back before you drop off your kid. Then again criminals aren’t know for their smarts or they wouldn’t be criminals.

I bet if it came down to it this guy probably would have used his own kid as a human shield if a shootout ensued.

McHeroin, I’m lovin’ it

Parents overdose on heroin at McDonald’s as kids, 5 and 8, play at restaurant’s PlayPlace: Outrage?:

Cops: Parents shoot up heroin while kids play at McDonald’s:

Here’s a scene I’m sure a lot of us are familiar with. You’re getting a touch of cabin fever and want to get you, your significant other and most importantly your kids out of the house for a little while. The thing is you don’t have a lot of cash for an expensive day out like a movie or an amusement park. Instead you scrape up what little cash you have and take everyone to McDonald’s for some dollar menu burgers and the kids can play in the play center. Everybody is having such a good time that you and your squeeze decide to shoot up. Wait, what? Go back a second. What the fuck? No one does that. Who the hell shoots up heroin in a McDonald’s while their kids are in the ball pit?

According to police in Green Township, Ohio, that’s exactly what Robert Paul Palmer, 37, and Tamica Lynn Jeffers, 33, from Indiana allegedly did. Not only did they shoot up in McDonald’s but they both overdosed to the point that reports are calling them life threatening overdoses. Luckily the children, ages 8 and 5 were unharmed you know, except for the trauma of seeing their parents OD’d and arrested.

I wonder if they asked for a moist towelette so they could keep the needle clean.

Joshua Cooper took ‘got your nose’ to horrific levels

California teen father arrested for biting nose off infant:

Teenage father arrested after biting nose off one-month-old son because infant would not stop crying:

Joshua Cooper

Joshua Cooper

18-year-old Joshua Cooper of Fairfield, California has been arrested for allegedly biting off one-third of his one-month-old son’s nose. Why would any so-called human being commit such an atrocious act? Why do any of these Breeders do it? The same old reason just about every time. The baby was crying.

I don’t care that this assclown was only 18. It’s pretty much common knowledge that babies are going to cry and the younger they are the more they are going to cry. That’s life son. But to willingly bare your teeth and reach out to such an unprotected innocent and disfigure them possibly for life is just beyond me. I’ve had fits of anger in my life. I’ve even had fits of violence but I always took my rage out on inanimate objects. I’m not saying that’s right but it’s a hell of a lot better than biting off an infant’s nose.

When the baby reached the hospital it was also determined that he had a fractured skull and a brain hemorrhage but they don’t know how the baby sustained those injuries yet. I’m pretty sure that everyone involved has somewhat of an idea who gave those injuries to him. The baby is currently in stable condition.

‘They’ should push this guy face first into the disc sander from shop class.

Another Judge Makes A Fatal Ruling

(Special thanks to Catalina for the post)

Parents of Elijah Dillard, charged in 6-year-old’s death, waive Saginaw court hearing:

Woman who raised child abuse victim Elijah Dillard until he was 3 fought to keep him:

 Aki C. Dillard

Aki C. Dillard

Six year old Elijah (Campbell) Dillard was one beautiful boy. He was born to 30-year-old Mio Campbell, who gave him up two weeks after his birth. Apparently, she wasn’t done partying and her relationship with the bio dad soured.

So, thanks to Carrie Cross, the woman Campbell chose as guardian, Elijah was able to enjoy the first three years of his life like every child should. He had everything he needed and was very loved by Cross and her family. Elijah’s happiness in that home was evident in photos which show the sweet boy as a toddler, having a spark in his eyes and a contagious smile.

Sadly, that all changed after several court battles, when a judge ultimately granted Campbell custody of then-3 year old Elijah. After the child was removed from her home in Belleville, Ill., Cross never saw him alive again.

So, why did Campbell have a change of heart and want to have little Elijah in her life? Apparently, after meeting her new main squeeze, 39-year-old Aki Dillard, she wanted to play house and get all her children together. Except, there was a tiny bit of a problem. Dillard had been recently paroled, having served time for second-degree murder and robbery. Everyone knows murderers make the best fathers, just like red-assed baboons make awesome baby sitters.

After the judge ordered for Elijah to be ripped from his home, the poor toddler spent years in foster care until he was ultimately place in Campbell and Dillard’s home in Saginaw, MI, August of 2013. Just 6 months later, on Feb 27th, Elijah was found by police suffering from head trauma and burns. The boy died from his injuries on March 1st.

Aki Dillard has been charged with first-degree premeditated murder, felony murder, torture and first-degree child abuse, and is being held with no bond. Campbell faces one child abuse count and is jailed on a $5 million bond.

We can only imagine what kind of torturous nightmare Elijah’s life had been during the months he spent living with those monsters. My heart breaks at the thought of him missing his stable life with Cross, and being thrown to the wolves, all in the name of keeping child and egg-donor together.

Elijah Dillard

Elijah Dillard

Rest in peace, sweet Elijah. May you feel joy and God’s powerful love up there in Heaven. You’ll never feel pain nor anguish again.

Thanks to Timothy for the tip.

A Voice For The Innocent needs our help

avfti

Last year I received an e-mail from a man named Jamie who is a sexual abuse survivor. He started an organization called A Voice For The Innocent to reach out and help other sex abuse survivors. I was so touched by his story that AVFTI is a permanent link here at BB.

Yesterday I received another e-mail from Jamie. He thanked me for the support that we’ve given AVFTI. He said that he received so much traffic from us back then that they refer to it as ‘Bad Breeders Day’. I couldn’t ask for a higher compliment. However the main reason that Jamie e-mailed me is that AVFTI needs our help once again.

AVFTI is currently having a fundraising drive in order to reach out to more people. Please watch the following video from Jamie and crew.

)

You can donate at their Start Some Good page which is like a Kickstarter for non-profits.

If everybody reading this could donate $5 or $10 we could help them reach their goal of $5000 in no time.

If you donate through credit card or PayPal be aware that accounts won’t be charged until the first week of April when the campaign ends.

I’ve pledged and I hope you will too.

The Bad Boyfriend and the Attack of the Killer Shower

Joshua Howard

Joshua Howard

Police: 2-year-old assault victim dies, mom’s boyfriend remains in jail:

First responders were called to the Portland, Oregon, motel room of 28-year-old Joshua Howard because his girlfriend’s two-year-old son was unconscious. Howard allegedly told police that he was giving the boy a shower and left him alone for a moment when he heard a thump. Except that the police say the boy was dry and had bruising on his head. After the boy was rushed to the hospital it was determined that he was brain-dead and eventually died from his trauma. Doctors say that the boy had multiple injuries including a fractured jaw and skull.

Eventually Howard is said to have changed his story and allegedly admitted to police that he assaulted the child.

First he said he “tossed or dropped” the victim in the bathroom and was upset because the boy had thrown up on the bed and was crying, according to court documents.

Police said he then later admitted to dragging the boy into the bathroom and throwing him with a lot of force into the front of the toilet.

I don’t get why so many violent assholes think that babies aren’t supposed to puke and cry. A number of years ago I was dating a girl who had a son about 2-years-old. I’d be lying if I said I was a fan of the kid but I dealt with it. One weekend we went on a trip and on the way back the boy let a torrent of vomit fly in my new truck it would have made Linda Blair proud. Was I mad? You better believe it. Did I strike a child that wasn’t even mine? Of course not. After being angry for about a second my common sense kicked in and then I was more concerned for the child’s well-being. Even though I wasn’t fond of the kid I didn’t want to wish any harm on him. Luckily it was just car sickness.

Back to the story at hand though the mother of the child allegedly said that Howard had hit the boy before but she didn’t intervene because she thought that would only make it worse. What? That makes no sense whatsoever. Ladies, if a man hits any of your kids he should be fearing for his life because of what you may do. At the very least you call the cops and you get you and your kids out of there. There is no man worth that.

Thanks to Sarah for the tip.

Spider eggs in a toddler’s hair

(Special thanks to Catalina for the post)

Secoy Koch-Miller

Secoy Koch-Miller

Wisconsin woman accused of raising kids in squalor:

Burnett woman charged with child neglect:

I admit, I’m still trying to lose some post-pregnancy weight, so losing my appetite after reading about this case isn’t a big loss. However, the details leave me feeling infuriated and wondering how anyone could be so devoid of any sympathy and compassion, especially for their own offspring.

Okay. On to the story.

25-year-old Secoy S. Koch-Miller of Burnett, WI is the “mother” of two boys, ages 2 months and 2 years. The baby daddy of the infant, while in jail, reported to detectives that when he had been at the home of Koch-Miller, the residency seemed uninhabitable. Articles don’t state the reason for his jail sentence, but we do know he had at least enough sense to report the squalor.

Detectives then spoke with human services, and the case worker, familiar with Koch-Miller, stated she had visited the home beforehand but was always denied entrance. Hmm…I wonder why.

Luckily, baby daddy’s statement was enough to get a warrant, and officers and the case worker entered the home last November. What they found was extremely deplorable.

The craptastic home was filled with so much junk, that some rooms were blocked off due to the sheer volume of stuff that had been hoarded.

According to one article, “the kitchen contained several dirty dishes, dead flies and other bugs and cat feces. The inside of the refrigerator and freezer was covered in black mold, maggots and decayed food. There was cold water, but no hot water, and the bathroom had only a toilet. The pipes for the shower and bath appeared to have been cut off. The toilet did not appear to be working.”

Yup, the toilet wasn’t working because the septic tank was too full.

Upon examination of the children, the 2-year-old was found to weigh only 20 pounds. That’s not a huge surprise considering what had been found in the fridge. The poor boy had bug bites all over his body, a bruised eye, and had spiders and spider eggs in his hair. (The thought of the little guy like that makes me want to cry!) To make horrific matters worse, he also had a respiratory and ear infection that required antibiotics.

The infant, on the other hand, was found in better condition, growing at a “more normal rate.”

Fortunately, the children were placed in foster care and the toddler has gained weight.

Koch-Miller was charged with neglecting a child causing bodily harm, a felony, and neglecting a child, a misdemeanor. An initial court appearance is scheduled for March 10th.

And as far as the home is concerned, Burnett town leaders are considering the condemning the building. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Thanks to Brenda for the tip.
