Sheriff’s Office ‘Disappointed’ With Sentence:

29-year-old Amanda Raegan Smith of South Carolina entered an Alford, or no contest, plea into the 2007 murder of her 7-year-old son Devon Epps. In layman’s terms it means that she does not plead guilty but she pleads that she realizes that the prosecution has enough evidence to convict her. It’s a guilty plea without the defendant actually admitting guilt.

Smith claimed that a ‘carjacker’ abducted her and her soon took her to a wooded area where the ‘carjacker’ smothered her son with a pillow. Because you know knife wielding carjackers always carry pillows with them. She claimed her son was on his back when he was killed. However the evidence showed that he was on his stomach and that he died of asphyxia due to neck pressure. That sounds like she was strangling him while he was on his stomach so she didn’t have to see his face.

Anyway for the brutal murder and blatant lies committed my Smith the judge, Judge Ned Miller, gave her 5 years for ‘involuntary manslaughter’ and 3 years for obstruction of justice. Since she’s already been in prison for 3 years she only has to serve 5.

Not only is this a joke of a sentence but what is it with women named Smith from South Carolina that kill their kids and blame it on fictitious assailants?

Meth found in body of dead Mid-South baby:

Back in March 4-month-old Abigail Farmer of Paragould, Ark. died from what officials thought to be asphyxiation from being pushed into the back of the cushions of a couch. At the time there wasn’t enough to arrest her Breeders Charles Farmer and Brittany Farmer. That was until the toxicology reports came back from the coroner.

Not only was meth found in Abigail’s system but police say that they also think that someone was holding Abigail in their arms while smoking meth. Both Breeders have also tested positive for meth and meth making materials were also found in the house.

They’ve only been charged with misdemeanor negligent homicide and their bond was only set at $5K each.

How in the blue hell is this only a misdemeanor. A lot of times when a death happens during the commission of a crime that upgrades the crime to a felony. Why not now?

If you want to get people to stop smoking meth especially when they have kids then scumbags like this should be made an example of by the courts. Too bad they’ll get slaps on the wrist and be able to crank out more kids that they’ll put in danger.

Report: No trial date in python killing:

Back in July I posted about how the 8-foot Burmese Python that belonged to 32-year-old Charles Jason Darnell got out and squeezed his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter to death.

At that time I posted that the only charges Darnell was facing was not having a permit for the snake. It seems a lot as happened since then because not only is Darnell facing a murder charge but so is the girl’s mother, Ashley Hare.

Personally I am glad that they are bothy facing murder charges. Leaving an 8 foot python basically unguarded is like leaving a loaded gun just laying around except it’s usually a slower and much more painful death for its victim.

Md. mother pleads guilty to severe child abuse:

You all remember Frog Clown over there don’t you?

In case you don’t that’s 44-year-old Renee Bowman from Calvert County, Maryland. She’s the ‘woman’ who was arrested when the bodies of two of her adopted daughters were found in her freezer.

Police were tipped off when a third adopted girl escaped the residence because of abuse.

The latest is that Bowman has pleaded guilty to abuse of the third child. She is still going to be tried in the deaths of the two girls. They allegedly died from asphyxia at Bowman’s hands.

She’s looking at 25 years on the abuse alone.

Officials: Escaped pet python strangled Fla. child:

Only second to the pit bull in terms of trailer dwelling pets is the snake. Usually some kind of python or constrictor.

In this case it was an 8-foot Burmese Python that escaped from it’s impenetrable confinement of a plastic bag and a terrarium and squeezed a 2-year-old Oxnard, Florida girl to death.

The snake’s owner is 32-year-old Charles Jason Darnell, the girl’s mother’s boyfriend. Of course he did not have the proper permit to own the python. So far Darnell has only been charged with owning a snake without a permit.

I’m sorry but the only people I’ve ever known that owned snakes like pythons and constrictors are guys with mullets, 70′s mustaches and revoked driving privileges.

These animals are known to kill and eat prey that is many times their own size. If you have small kids owning an 8-foot python is not a good idea. If you do own one get rid of it and not just by releasing it into the wild.

Foster Mom Accused of Taping Pacifier To Baby’s Mouth:

9-month-old Curtis Williams was placed in the custody of foster mother Angela Dukes in Columbia, South Carolina when Curtis tested positive for marijuana. His biological mother was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

However Dukes is charged in the death of Curtis after he died from asphyxiation from having a pacifier taped to his mouth. To make matters worse Dukes is a neonatal intensive care nurse so she above all people should have known better.

She sounds like just another foster parent who was in it for the money. I am not saying that all foster parents are like that but there are too many who are taking advantage of the system.

Md. Woman Is Charged In Deaths Of 2 Girls:

Renee Bowman, who I’ve dubbed the Frog Clown, has been charged in the deaths of her two adopted daughters. If you’ll recall the bodies of 9-year-old Jasmine Nicole Bowman and 11-year-old Minnet Cecila Bowman were found in Bowman’s freezer last year after a third child escaped from the house and notified a neighbor of the abuse she was receiving at the hands of Bowman.

Bowman has been in jail since September after the bodies were found but now she’s officially been charged with their deaths. Police believe both girls died from asphyxia at the hands of Bowman.

Bowman was also collecting government money after the girls’ deaths.

Police: Girls Found In Freezer Died Of Asphyxiation:

For those of you who were reading Bad Breeders you may remember the case of Renee Bowman, aka Frog Clown. (Look at her mugshot and that will explain everything.)

She’s the woman from Maryland who police found the bodies of two of her adopted children in a freezer. A third daughter had to literally jump from the 2nd story of the house and contacted police because of abuse.

The cause of death of the two girls has been released. 9-year-old Jasmine Nicole Bowman and 11-year-old Minnet Cecila Bowman died of asphyxiation.

What I haven’t seen in any of the articles I read was exactly how the girls were asphyxiated.

Mother Accused Of Killing 3-Year-Old Daughter Held On $750,000 Bail:

I originally posted about Isabella Grace Martinez here. She was the 3-year-old who was allegedly choked to death in a motel room by her FBO Veva Virgil.

Virgil has pleaded not guilty to the murder and is being held on $750K bond.

Her next court appearance will be December 17th.

Mom charged in infant’s suffocation death:

30-year-old Kimberly Kelley has been charged with the asphyxiation death of her 15-week-old son Nathan Wisniewski. She allegedly pressed down on his back so hard while he was in a face down position that the embroidery on the back of his shirt left marks.

She called Nathan’s father drunk and said “With no fault of mine, if Nathan died tonight, you don’t know what it would feel like.”

You would think that someone who legitimately lost a child due to medical problems four years ago wouldn’t even consider killing their own child. You would think that child would be the most precious thing in their life. However it seems to me that her getting her drink on was more important.
