Dad who ate eyes found mentally incompetent:
Angelo Mendoza, the man accused of eating the eye of his 4-year-son Angelo Jr., has been ruled mentally incompetent to stand trial.
The next step will be to see if he’ll be put in a county or state mental facility.
If Mendoza is legitimately nuts then they need to bring back asylums for the criminally insane and not these touchy feely places that they have now.
The headline kind of says it all doesn’t it?
This past week a psychiatrist testified that Angelo Mendoza is not competent enough to stand trial. Mendoza, as you’ll recall, is accused of blinding his 4-year-old son, Angelo Mendoza Jr., by biting his eyes out in an alleged PCP fueled rampage.
The prosecution requested a second opinion since the issue at hand was his non-psychitaric meds and judge ordered that it be done.
Mendoza returns to court in late August after the next evaluation.

Angelo Mendoza Jr. of Bakersfield, California has regained partial site in his remaining eye and it’s expected to improve.
As I’m sure most of you recall Angelo had one of his eyes bitten out by his father, Angelo Mendoza, during an alleged PCP fueled assault on his 4-year-old son.
Father Accused Of Eating Child’s Eyes Out:
While allegedly high on PCP 34-year-old Angelo Mendoza of Bakersfield, California bit out the eye of his 4-year-son Angelo Jr. and ate it. Mendoza also bit his son’s other eye to the point of where it is now inoperable. Doctors said that the left aye and the muscle surrounding it were completely gone.
Mendoza is being held on $1M bail.
Why why why do people still insist on doing drugs when they have kids? Since I grew out of using drugs I guess I’ll never understand.
