Murder charges for python death in Florida

Trench Reynolds

Report: No trial date in python killing:

Back in July I posted about how the 8-foot Burmese Python that belonged to 32-year-old Charles Jason Darnell got out and squeezed his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter to death.

At that time I posted that the only charges Darnell was facing was not having a permit for the snake. It seems a lot as happened since then because not only is Darnell facing a murder charge but so is the girl’s mother, Ashley Hare.

Personally I am glad that they are bothy facing murder charges. Leaving an 8 foot python basically unguarded is like leaving a loaded gun just laying around except it’s usually a slower and much more painful death for its victim.

Step-Breeder slams infant’s head against the wall

Trench Reynolds

Stepfather of critically injured infant arrested:

Police Say Frustrated Stepfather Hurt Baby:

29-year-old Ryan Joe Clarke of Orlando, Florida is accused of bashing his stepson’s head against the wall four times.

Clarke was baby sitting 7-month-old Mark Ward when the atrocity occurred. Clark was watching the baby for Brigit Ward who is Mark’s grandmother and legal guardian. Mark’s mother, Rian Basarich, relinquished temporary custody to Mark’s Grandmother until she could get her life straightened out. You would think that an act like that would go towards bettering a child’s life unfortunately that was not be.

When Ms. Ward returned from work she noticed that Mark was cold to the touch. Ward and Clarke took Mark to the hospital where of course they determined that Mark had a fractured skull.

Clarke allegedly gave a handful of stories including that Mark fell, Mark fell while he was giving him a bath, then that he dropped Mark in the kitchen. It wasn’t until police recorded a phone call between Ms. Basarich and Clarke that the story became more clear.

According to police Clarke admitted to striking the baby’s head against the wall four times in frustration out of the baby crying. Again another idiot who thinks that severely injuring a baby will get them to stop crying. Most of the time it does permanently.

He said that he was also upset over the status of his and Basarich’s relationship. Suck it up loser. Not only are you less of man because you can’t handle a relationship but you’re subhuman because you took it out on an infant.

Bad chicken looking boyfriend threw boy against wall

Trench Reynolds

Police: Man Threw Toddler Against Wall:

Police: Boy Thrown For Not Going To Bed:

Man accused of throwing child against a wall:

Angry Chicken Man over there is 34-year-old Benjamin Edward Ahr of Daytona Beach, Florida. Before we get to his transgressions let’s ponder about his mugshot for a second. He’s 34. Fauxhawk, bleached blonde, funky sideburns, not only a neck tattoo but a neck tattoo of a woman’s name. He’s 34. Grow up already.

Anyway he’s accused of lifting his girlfriend’s 2 1/2-year-old son over his head and throwing him against a wall because he wouldn’t go to bed. The girlfriend was at work at the time. The boy went into seizures and at the time of the articles is on a breathing machine in the hospital and has a fractured skull and bleeding of the brain.

Ahr tried blaming the injuries on ‘rough housing’ by the boy’s older brother.

Except when the police interviewed the older brother he said that not only did Ahr throw the boy against the wall he abused the older brother as well.

Why would anyone think that this piece of crap is more important than their kids. Ladies please choose your boyfriends wisely.

I am the monster

Trench Reynolds

Deputies: Man Admitted Torturing Infant:

Lake County man charged with torturing infant:

Deputies: Man Admits To Abusing Infant:

23-year-old Robert Young of Tavares, Florida looks like the All American Guy doesn’t he? Too bad that All American look hides a monster by his own admission.

Young has admitted to basically torturing a 2-month-old girl because she wouldn’t sleep. I couldn’t find what the relationship was between Young and the girl but I’m guessing he’s the bad boyfriend.

The girl was taken to the hospital by her mother when she had breathing problems which x-rays revealed to be cracked ribs.

Young has allegedly admitted to beating and squeezing the girl’s chest, bending her wrist back, and pinching her fingers knees and toes because he said he noticed she would sleep when she was agitated.

Young went on to admit that he would “twist the infant’s foot, when she wiggled her feet out of blankets,” wrench her arm behind her back, and press his hands on her stomach to force a bowel movement.

When he was arrested he told deputies that “I am the monster” and said that…

…he knew he should have stopped the behavior and was afraid to tell the child’s mother because he did not want the woman to think he was a “monster.”

If he wasn’t a monster he wouldn’t have done any of this in the first place.

Kids in Florida meth lab

Trench Reynolds

Beth and Matthew Cantin, that’s Beth pictured there in case you couldn’t guess, of Plant City, Florida have been arrested for allegedly running a meth lab.

Since you’re reading this here you can guess there were kids around the lab and you’d be right.

Their 3 kids, ages 6 months to 9 years, are believed to have been exposed to the various meth related chemicals.

Nothing like risking blowing up or poisoning your own kids so you can cook meth.

15 years for guy who killed his daughter because she wasn’t a son

Trench Reynolds

One of the previous bloggers posted about Marcos Gomez-Romero here. He was arrested for beating his infant daughter, Ariana Rodriguez Romero, to death on Christmas Day of 2007. And why you may ask. For the oh so reasonable explanation that she wasn’t a boy.

As bad enough as that is Gomez-Romero was only sentenced to 15 years after he pleaded to no contest to aggravated manslaughter.

Why was he allowed to plead out to a lesser charge? This was murder not manslaughter. This scumbag should not only be put away for life he should have a date with the needle.

And don’t give me this crap about taxpayer money either. I would gladly watch my taxes go to putting baby killers to death.

Bad Boyfriend gets slap on the wrist in deal

Trench Reynolds

Here’s another case where the killer gets less time in jail then the victim was alive.

25-year-old Brian del Pino of Sanford, Florida was sentenced to 18 months in prison for pleading no contest to manslaughter charges. And by manslaughter they mean beating his girlfriend’s 22-moth-old son, Cameron Andrews, to death in 2006. Of course he claimed it was a trip and fall on the child’s part.

Stop making deals with child abusers. It’s not like they’re trying to get to his supplier. He should be going to jail for murder for a long time.

Baby burned in bathtub. Breeder to blame?

Trench Reynolds

21-year-old Lyndon Barfield Jr. of Casselberry, Florida was arrested for allegedly scalding his 5-month-old son in a bath tub and locking the bathroom door.

He claimed that he went to go answer the phone. Police are suspicious though since it wasn’t too long ago that EMTs were called to the house after Lyndon III stopped breathing supposedly because of a pillow falling on his head.

Now I missed all the diaper changing of infants and everything but isn’t 5 months a little young to be in a bathtub by themselves? And do they not have a cordless phone in their house?

No time to clean

Trench Reynolds

No that’s not Dave Mustaine. That’s 26-year-old Brandy Lee Stiles of Summerville, Florida. She was busted on neglect charges for having a filthy home with her two daughters ages 3 and 6.

The house contained garbage, roaches, spiders, spoiled food and yes the always ever present dog feces.

Stiles allegedly said that the home was that way because she did not have time to clean. I wonder which activity it was that she did in fact have time for.

Of chickens and cattle

Trench Reynolds

Pasco couple arrested on child neglect charges in filthy home:

You got to love it when a story starts out like this…

The 2-year-old boy on Saturday morning wandered outside his house alone, through a field with livestock roaming and climbed over a cattle gate, authorities said.

Guess where mom was. That’s right 29-year-old Tanya Faye Dykas was at home asleep. When police got the boy home they found what may be a record breaking filthy home.

A 7-year-old was found outside in only shoes. A 5-year-old in only underwear. The windows were covered in boards. There were trails of feces leading from the toilet to all over the house. The toilet had not been flushed in days. The prerequisite feces were all over the place. But here’s where the record gets broken…

Chicken feces were found inside a room where one of the children was allowed to keep his show chickens.

That’s right kids. Since I have taken over PBB this is the first time I can recall that chicken feces were found in a home.

And let’s go for another record. These Breeders actually admit that they’re lazy…

Tanya Faye Dykas, 29, told a deputy and a child protection investigator that she didn’t know the boy had wandered off because she had been sleeping.

Justin Dykas told investigators that he has asked the kids to pick up after themselves but they refuse and he’s tired and doesn’t feel like doing anything when he comes home from his job at Publix.

For those of you who may not know Publix is a supermarket chain in Florida.

Both Breeders are being held in the Land O’ Lakes Jail which as I’ve said before is made out of butter.

Boy tied up for running away

Trench Reynolds

Cops: Boy Bound As Form Of Punishment:

35-year-old Jonathan Viera and his main squeeze, 25-year-old Jennifer Terrell, were both arrested by police in Deltona, Florida for tying up Viera’s teen son on a couch with zip ties securing his ankles and wrists.

Why did they tie him up you may ask? Why for running away of course. Doesn’t that make perfect sense? If by perfect you mean no sense then yes.

The teen had help from another boy who lived in the house who cut the zip ties for him.

I wonder what they did before to make him run away in the first place.

Petty Mother

Trench Reynolds

Mom Arrested For Leaving Kids Home Alone:

Sarah Petty of Brevard County, Florida has a fitting name.

She was arrested for leaving her kids home alone for 14 hours. Her 18-month-old went out for a stroll and luckily was unharmed. The 3 year-old stayed home.

So where was mom? Police say she was at another house in the neighborhood after drinking the night before and according to police she was still drunk at noon when police talked to her.

Petty claims she thought the children were with their grandmother who lives next door.

Yeah, like the police have never heard that one before.

Again, your children are more important than getting your drink on. If they’re not then you don’t deserve to have them.

Mom was turning tricks while baby was left in car

Trench Reynolds

Prostitute left baby in car while she worked, deputies say:

30-year-old Latosha Yeadon was arrested in Tampa, Florida for turning tricks while she left her 3-month old baby in her car. The window was cracked an inch and luckily it wasn’t a mad hot day that day in Florida.

Luckily a maintenance worker saw the baby in the car and was able to pry the window open.

Since the baby was 3-months-old it makes me wonder how long she waited after birth before she started turning tricks again or was she giving handjobs in the hospital parking lot after delivery.

Yeadon says she arranged to meet her client over the internet. Craigslist maybe?

Man uses baby as Taser shield

Trench Reynolds

Deputies: Man Used Baby As Shield From Taser:

That is 39-year-old Jorge Garcia of Deltona, Florida. He was stopped by police on New Year’s Day at a felony traffic stop, whatever that means.

However when police tried to arrest Garcia he grabbed a baby from the back seat, no word if he had more than one back there, and held the baby up to use as a human shield to block officers’ Tasers. He allegedly held the baby in front of him saying “Tase the baby.” I get the feeling the word mother came after that and the next word probably wasn’t superior.

The baby was unharmed but Chicken Jorge has been released on $6500 bond.’
