Maria and Tulio Ayala
Long Island Couple Accused Of Leaving 4 Kids Home Alone For 6 Days:
Maria and Tulio Ayala of Central Islip, New York, on Long Island are accused of leaving their four kids, ages 15, 13, 8, and 4, at home for six days while they stayed at a hotel. No big deal right? The 15-year-old is old enough to watch the other kids. Oh, did I mention there was no heat or food in the house?
Mr. Ayala is trying to make it look like it was no big deal. He says that his mom was there to watch the kids and he left them with money for food and space heaters. He claims that this mother called the cops on him unwarranted.
So let me get this straight. You had money for a hotel for almost a week, you allegedly had $100 to leave the kids for food. Yet you can’t pay you’re own heating bill? I’m sensing a definite lack of priorities here. I’m going to guess they didn’t stay at The Ritz but I’m pretty sure whatever hotel they stayed at had heat.
The children are currently staying with relatives but the Ayala’s say they’re going to fight to get their kids back. Maybe if you took care of them in the first place you wouldn’t be in this situation. Hopefully the only HOtel you’ll be staying is the Gray Bar Hotel.

Pregnant Long Island mother leaves tot idling in car as she shops at Walmart:
32-year-old Alona Sulman of Long Island is not only a lawyer but she’s also nine months pregnant. So you would think that she would know better than to allegedly leave her 2-year-old daughter in the car for 30 minutes while she was in WalMart.
A passerby dialed 911, and cops were waiting when she returned toting several bags of merchandise.
I wonder if the bargains were worth the year in jail that she’s facing.

Mom ran pet ‘concentration camp,’ son says:
I originally posted about this over at one of my other sites. That was before I knew there were children involved but I’m getting ahead of myself.
43-year-old Sharon McDonough of Selden, New York on Long Island was arrested this past week for allegedly swiping her neighbors’ pets, torturing them and burying them in her yard. The abuse of the animals was so bad that the National Geographic show Rescue Ink was called in to rescue the surviving animals.
I thought the story was done there. Until I received an e-mail from reader Caitlin.
The new wrinkle in the story is that she had some of her six daughters help in the abuse.
Let’s hear from her oldest child, 21-year-old Douglas McDonough. He’s also the person who turned her in…
“She would have the oldest kids hold down the dog while we duct-taped his mouth and she would hit him,” he said, adding that he and his sisters were all forced to take part in the abuse.
The six girls, ages 1 1/2-13, were taken from the house.
It’s not bad enough that she committed these atrocities but she just had to get her kids involved. Can you imagine what kind of people they may grow up to be?
Mom Who Abandoned Baby In Shoebox Arrested:
Last Sunday a newborn baby was found in the lobby of a Hempstead, NY apartment building. The baby was found in a Timberland’s shoebox completely soiled with the umbilical cord tied off with dental floss.
This past Wednesday the birth organism accused of dumping the baby was arrested. 25-year-old Xiomara Gamez was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment to a child and is being held on $500,000 bond or $250,000 cash bail.
Gamez has six other children who live with their father and she claims she’s addicted to cocaine which is why she allegedly dumped the baby.
According to the National Safe Haven Alliance New York law says that a baby can be left up to 5 days old, with any responsible person.
Last time I checked a shoebox was not a responsible person. Then again neither are pregnant cocke addicts.
