Erica Parsons’ adoptive parents guilty of fraud

Earlier today Erica Parsons’ adoptive father, Sandy Parsons, was found guilty of fraud for collecting government benefits for Erica long after she had disappeared. Her adoptive mother, Casey Parsons, pleaded guilty to fraud charges earlier this month. They are both scheduled to be sentenced in February. Sandy Parsons is looking at a possible sentence of 20+ years in prison.

I thought the fraud charges would get one of them to crack about the possible whereabouts of Erica but it appears that they are thick as thieves so to speak.

Apparently, killing five children is not enough to warrant the title of “Monster”

Lawyer: Accused child killer being “portrayed like a monster”
Father who ‘killed his five children then bleached their bodies to hide stench

Murdering Monster

Timothy Ray Jones Jr., 32, of South Carolina, is being wrongfully portrayed as a ‘monster’ in the press, according to his attorney. According to this same attorney, all he really needs is a mental health evaluation. Pardon me while I puke.

This waste of oxygen killed his five children. The names and ages of these precious angels are: Merah, 8; Elias, 7; Nahtahn, 6; Gabriel, 2, and Elaine Marie, 1. While the article is unspecific about the exact cause of death, it did report that the children were killed “by violent means”. Then, as if that wasn’t bad enough, this worthless individual drove around with the dead bodies of his children, wrapped in trash bags, for several days. Through several states. And then dumped their tiny bodies on a rural hilltop in Alabama. It was reported that, at one point, Jones stopped at a donut shop for a coffee and six donuts. Did he think buying them donuts would bring the kids back to life? Sorry, monster daddy, it doesn’t work that way.

This monster killed his children, and he is upset that he is being portrayed as a monster in the press? Really? That came as a shock to him? How in the Sam Hades did he think he would be portrayed after killing five innocent children? As a saint? As a good father? How about as a murderous bastard? Does that sound better than ‘monster’?

The hired liar, oops, I meant to say his attorney, has said that he has been treated for mental health problems in the past, which tells me that they are likely planning an insanity defense. This man is not insane – he is vindictive. Plain mean. The article also mentions that he was upset because his wife slept with a neighbor. If I were the betting sort, I’d wager a significant amount on the likelihood that this depraved individual killed the kids to get back at Mommy. While I’m not condoning her actions, why did this worthless POS think that the children should pay for their mother’s infidelities? Perhaps the mother was beginning to recognize the ‘crazy’ signs, and wanted to be with a SANE individual for a change.

Think that’s bad? Wait! There’s more! This outstanding specimen of virility has a criminal record dating back to 2001 – when he was 19 years old. He was arrested for cocaine possession, auto theft, burglary and passing forged checks. What a catch, ladies! Isn’t this the kind of guy you want to father your children? Yeah, me neither. But apparently he found a woman who was willing to overlook his youthful indiscretions and give him a chance. Five chances. All of whom he later killed.

When Jones was apprehended, he was driving his SUV that, according to the arresting officer, smelled of death. The SUV contained blood, childrens’ clothes, maggots and BLEACH, with which he was apparently attempting to mask the odors of decomposition. Too bad he didn’t drink some of the bleach instead. The officers said he was also “high as a kite” on Spice, a synthetic form of marijuana.

Jones’ father, Timothy Jones, Sr., gave a statement to the press in which he referred to his son as a “very loving father, brother and son.” I don’t know about the ‘brother and son’ part, but I call BS on the ‘loving father’ description. Sorry, Sr., a loving father does not murder his children. Pick a different descriptor for your monster….ummmm…son, please.

In addition to the father’s statements, a couple of neighbors were also interviewed by the press. The Hyders, who lived next door when Jones and his wife were still married, indicated that they thought Jones was strange. His children were often dirty and disheveled, and in later months, very rarely seen outside at all. Apparently Jones had also been vaguely threatening on several occasions, and had once threatened to kill a dog owned by the Hyders. Mrs. Hyder said Jones was “a nut”. No! Ya think?

The mother of the children is said to be distraught over the deaths of her children, and rightfully so. I think she should be given a blowtorch, a claw hammer, and a taser – and fifteen minutes alone with Timothy in a police interrogation room. Oh, and full immunity for anything that happens during that fifteen minute span. We might not have to take this case to court after all.

What kind of sick do you have to be to think that killing your children is a solution to ANYTHING?!? I sincerely hope this guy gets the DP, and that it is mishandled like a couple of other recent cases, so that he suffers during his execution. I hope he suffers horribly.

He is currently awaiting transport to SC from Mississippi, where he will be formally charged. He is also on suicide watch. Great! Can I watch? Oh, wait, I was thinking of something else. If I were his guard, I would hand him a straight razor to shave with, and extra sheets to cover up with at night. Already torn into strips, to make the creation of a noose even easier for him. Plus an instruction sheet, outlining fifty ways to kill yourself in a jail cell. But that’s just me. I try to be helpful that way.
Merah, Elias, Nahtahn, Gabriel and Elaine. Precious babies, may you all sing and dance with the angels.

PS – Jerk-off Jones’ attorney has also said that Jones is ‘scared’ and wants someone to ‘guide him through the process.’ He should have considered how frightened his kids likely were as he was killing them. I bet they were freakin’ terrified. He doesn’t deserve to have someone to “guide him”, IMHO. Unless it’s to the electric chair – in that case, I volunteer to be his guide. Shoot, I’ll even flip the switch. No charge. And I’ll pay for the after-party as well.

Adoptive parents of Erica Parsons arrested on fraud charges

Erica Parsons’ missing poster

Last week the adoptive parents of Erica Parsons,Casey and Sandy Parsons, were arrested by federal agents on fraud charges. Erica has been missing from their Salisbury, North Carolina home since 2011 but the Parsonses have allegedly been collecting government benefits on Erica since that time.

The pair have been charged with 76 counts of various fraud charges stemming from Erica’s disappearance ranging from mail fraud to healthcare fraud among others. The pair was released and have been ordered to wear monitors.

Hopefully this will jar one of the two into telling authorities what really happened to Erica instead of the outrageous story that she went to live with her biological grandmother ‘Nan’. If I had to take a guess on who will crack first I would imagine it would be Sandy Parsons as Casey probably doesn’t feel like she did anything wrong.

Anyone with information about the disappearance of Erica Lynn Parsons is asked to contact the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, 1st. Lt. Chad Moose at 704-216-8687 or Investigator Sara Benfield at 704-216-8739.

One man’s plea to parents to stop leaving their kids in hot cars

Terry Williams of North Carolina recently took to YouTube to post his plea to parents to stop leaving their kids in hot cars. In the video Mr, Williams states that he’;s in his car in Raleigh, North Carolina on a 90 degree day. Living in North Carolina myself I can attest that the summer has been pretty brutal here as it usually is.

I urge everyone to watch and share this video.

FBI: There is no ‘Nan’

FBI on Parsons case: Nan does not exist:

Speaking of giving kids to fictitious people the FBI recently announced they’re offering a reward for information leading to the return of Erica Parsons of $25,000. The Rowan County Sheriffs had and still is offering a reward of $10,000.

That’s not the only thing they announced though. The FBI has said unequivocally that there is no such person as Irene ‘Nan’ Goodman. Nan is the person that the Parsonses allegedly claim they gave Erica to two years ago. They also claim they believed Nan was Erica’s biological grandmother. Let’s hear from The Bureau…

“We know Erica did not go to live with Irene Goodman, which has previously been reported. I can tell you Nan just doesn’t exist,” said FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Deron Roberts.

Erica’s adoptive mother, Casey Parsons, only commented on the new reward money…

“I think this is excellent. I am very excited to hear this. You have made my day with this announcement, thanks.”

It’s like you can almost hear the gears turning to see how she can figure out to get the reward money herself.

Judge to Parsons: You’ll get your kids back when you produce Erica

Sandy, Casey Parsons’ two youngest children will stay with aunt and uncle for now:

Judge: Parsons’ children stay with aunt, uncle; another hearing set:

Family member says Parsons did not regain custody of children:

The adopted parents of Erica Parsons were in court this past week. Casey and Sandy Parsons were there to try to gain back custody of their youngest kids, you know, the ones who haven’t mysteriously vanished. Currently the children are staying with their aunt and uncle and according to family members will stay with them a while longer.

While Casey Parsons emerged from court saying “We won.” nothing could be further from the truth. Which is typical because she’s about as far from the truth as you can get. While local media were not allowed in the courtroom some family members were able to convey to the media what the judge’s ruling was. The judge basically ruled that the Parsonses can possibly get their kids back if they can produce Erica without breaking the law…

The judge gave the Parsonses a list of requirements that must be met, including counseling, drug testing and anger management for Sandy Parsons, according to WBTV. The judge also ruled that the Parsonses have to prove that Erica is alive or be able to explain what happened to her without sparking any criminal charges, David Whisenant reported.

If it wasn’t for the fact that a 15-year-old girl is missing and possibly dead it would be entertaining to see what Casey Parsons will say or do next in light of the judge’s ruling. Maybe a miracle will happen and they will produce Erica without breaking any laws but I won’t be holding my breath waiting for that to happen.

Cadaver dogs hint at possible human remains on Parsons’ property

Search warrant in Erica Parsons case: Dogs alerted on “possible presence of human remains’:

I apologize for this story being a month old but as I recently mentioned some times the real world can’t be put on hold.

Anyway, last month it was made public in a search warrant that some cadaver dogs indicated that there may have been the presence of human remains on a property where Casey and Sandy Parsons once lived. They are the adoptive parents of Erica Parsons who hasn’t been seen by anyone in over two years.

The search of the property with the cadaver dogs took place last October with three of four dogs indicating possible human remains in a storage building. Another cadaver dog was used in early November and he hit on the same building twice. Items were taken from the building but no human remains were found. Investigators are even exploring the possibility that Erica is dead and her body hidden somewhere.

Of course Casey Parsons had to chime in on this. Her reaction?

“This is so crazy. This is why no one has found Erica, because no one is searching for an “alive” Erica.”

Wow, it’s almost like she’s playing the dual role of Casey Anthony and Casey Anthony’s mom all at the same time. We even have a supposedly made up person who has the child. In this case being the mysterious grandmother from Asheville that no one can prove exists. It’s almost like she took notes from the Casey Anthony affair just in case something like this would come up.

Just because one person pulled off the swindle of a lifetime doesn’t mean everyone can.

NC Breeders handcuff kid to fence, tie dead chicken around his neck

Harper and Larson

Harper and Larson

DSS supervisor, ER nurse charged in abuse of boy, 11:

NC child found handcuffed to porch with dead chicken around his neck:

I’ve lived in North Carolina for roughly about 15 years now. I love living in the south. The people are friendlier, it doesn’t snow as much, the cost of living is cheaper, etc. I often find myself defending the south against the stereotypes that it’s filled with ignorant rednecks. This story makes it hard for me to do that. Granted this story could have happened in any state but it didn’t. It happened in mine.

Yesterday 57-year-olds Dorian Lee Harper and Wanda Sue Larson of Union County, North Carolina were arrested after an 11-year-old boy was found on their property handcuffed to the porch by his ankle with a dead chicken tied around his neck. Sadly there’s way too much to this story than just that.

First off police were first summoned to the property on a call of a loose pig. That’s not a euphemism for anything. Apparently the suspects had animals on their property that according to one neighbor ranged from pigs to llamas. That’s when the officer found the boy shackled to the porch with the aforementioned dead chicken tied around his neck. While the officer was looking for answers a man came out of the house and so did another child who unwittingly released the dogs that were in the house who went straight after the officer. The officer retreated to the safety of his patrol car. The man in question allegedly unchained the boy and took the chicken from off of his neck.

It turns out that the 11-year-old boy was a foster child. Four other children were removed from the home. Their ages run from 8 to 14 and are said to have been adopted by the couple. Now for the rotten cherry on top of this trailer trash sundae. Not only is Harper an emergency room nurse at the local hospital Larson is a DSS Supervisor. That’s right kids, she works for the government agency that takes away other people’s kids.

While the articles haven’t specifically mentioned any motives I think it’s obvious what the motive is here. Good old-fashioned greed. If she works for the DSS she may have knowledge of certain financial incentives that the government may give to foster or adoptive families. With him being an ER nurse he may have intimate knowledge on how to inflict punishment on a child without leaving visible marks. All speculation on my part but it does make a certain kind of sense doesn’t it.

What I really want to know is why did the boy have a dead chicken tied around his neck. The thing that keeps coming back to my mind is The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. (Later retold by Iron Maiden) In that poem the Mariner is forced to wear an albatross around his neck after he kills it because his shipmates view the bird as a sign of good luck. Did this kid kill their lucky chicken? I may be on to something with that because I just found a message board from people who raise their own chickens who said back in the ‘old days’ if a dog killed one of their chickens they’d tie the dead chicken around the dog’s neck to not only discipline it but to make the dog fear the chickens.

My lovely and talented wife also brought up a good point. While Larson is stewing in Union County lock up how many of her cellies do you think had kids taken away by DSS?

Thanks to Lucy and Risskia for the tip.

UPDATE: One of my Facebook friends suggested that this is their way of calling the boy a coward.

Casey Parsons can’t keep her mouth shut

Adoptive mom disputes financial aspect article on missing teen Erica Parsons:

This story is a week old but you should be used to my tardiness by now.

Anyway local TV station WBTV recently did a story about how the adoptive parents of Erica Parsons were allegedly still collecting government benefits meat for Erica the entire time she’s been missing. It seems that Casey Parsons, Erica’s adoptive mother, is one of those people who has to react to anything. I’m surprised she hasn’t shown up[ here yet. She’s basically saying that her and her husband are due the money and that we shouldn’t question it….

My husband and I have never ever signed our rights away for Erica. We are still legally responsible for her. Please keep reading and make sure to even read the special paragraph the state writes about a child even leaving home. “Out-of-Placements” These statements are made out of the mouth of our own Government. Exactly what my husband and I did for Erica. We had an Out-of-Home arrangement.

Except there’s two things that probably need clarifying. Was any of that money used on Erica? Did you send any of it to Erica’s allegedly imaginary new caretaker? If I had to lay odds I would say no to both.

By the way have you had your trip to New Orleans yet?

Casey Parsons going to New Orleans to ‘find Erica’

Adoptive parents of missing teen headed to New Orleans, hope to find answers:

Sometimes you just have to sit slack-jawed and marvel at how some people overestimate their ability to bullshit the public. For example take Casey Parsons, the adoptive mother of missing North Carolina teen Erica Parsons. Casey spoke with a local news station to tell them that she will be going to New Orleans in hopes of finding Erica. The reason she picked New Orleans is because that’s where Erica’s biological mother lives. You see, it seems like Casey is still trying to deflect any suspicion away from her and towards Erica’s birth mother and the mysterious ‘Nan’ that they dropped Erica off with.

“We’re just going around to the area where I know that Carolyn lived,” Parsons told Harry, referring to Carolyn Parsons, the biological mother of Erica. “The last little questions that we had in the little interview we had with the FBI, we were under the impression that Carolyn just knows more that she’s coming forth with and saying and there’s a little bit, of course, Carolyn is the one that led me to Nan, well, led Nan to us, and Nan knew all my information and the one common factor is Carolyn.”

I wonder if she’ll run into O.J. while he’s looking for Nicole Brown’s real killer. Whoops, I forgot O.J. was locked up. Or maybe she’ll find ‘Nan’ and Zenaida Gonzalez drinking Hurricanes on Bourbon Street while Bigfoot throws beads at them.

You know it’s less than a day’s driving from New Orleans to the Mexican border. Just sayin’.
