Parenting so bad, it's criminal

Squalor, squatting and DCFS fail

Toddler left home alone, falls out of window

Mother charged after toddler falls from second-story apartment in MarquettePark

22-year-old Vernisha Carter gets a court date for being a failure as a parent.  What the lucky bitch doesn’t get to do is identify a tiny body or pay for a funeral.  You see, she’s a lucky fucker.  Unlike most babies that grace the pages of, little Jeremiah Carter is still alive.

After9 p.m.Tuesday night, Vernisha and her main squeeze left 2-year-old Jeremiah home alone to go fetch some food.  A neighbor found little Jeremiah on the ground outside of the supposedly vacant apartment building.  The baby had fallen from a second story window, escaping with only a scrape on his head.  He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Carter’s man claims that the pair was only gone for 5 to 7 minutes.  Anyone with an IQ higher than 15 knows you don’t leave a baby alone for ANY length of time.

The couple and the baby were squatting in the vacant apartment building and were living in squalor.  Hopefully Carter will be squatting behind bars and Jeremiah will be in the arms of a loving family with a little sense.

Just so we’re clear – Verninsha is not the only one who failed Jeremiah.  Neighbors say that they contacted DCFS about the apartment prior to this incident and got no response.  Good ol’ DCFS.

Carter is being charged with endangering the life of a child and reckless conduct. She’s due back in court in July.

How Jeremiah survived his mother’s dumbfuckery is a miracle, but I sure am glad he did.  I think he has a greater purpose in this life than government check for his mother.

Thanks go to Barroness for this tip.

  1. VERNISHA? Smfh…

    1. Sounds like an STD, huh?

      1. OMG That is exactly what I thought too!! What a fucktard!

  2. Omfg ……

  3. Slap the ugly out of her…..with a shovel?

  4. I love to see a story up by you Ape – miss your write-ups! And about “Vernisha” (whose mother did her no favors by giving her that name)… what a fucking dumb tw*t. I hope Jeremiah never has to see her again, but chances of that are grim I’d imagine.

    1. My heart wasn’t in it, but I knew I needed to be more active. I skipped the gym to get my BB on. Maybe my next one will be better. huggles.

      1. Glad to see you back!!

        1. Thank ya, darlin!!!

      2. Writing articles that is….

  5. It says 5 to 7 minute that they were gone (if you can believe that).  Alot can happen when you turn you back for 2 seconds with a child that age or any age for that matter.  What the hell is wrong with these people!!  I can just see that litte boy lying there on the ground needing help and no one there to help him.  How long was he on the ground before the neighbor even seen him?  Poor baby.  I am wraping my arms around him right now in my thoughts and prayers.

    1. Exactly – I don’t leave my 2-year old alone to check the damn mail! Or even let her wander upstairs without supervision.  They can climb up a dresser in 2 seconds, pulling it down on themselves.  I speak from experience…. I left my older daughter watching TV in my bed when she was 2 to go to the kitchen to get some OJ and she climbed up the dresser, bringing it and the TV down. Two staples in her head later and a very shaken up, paranoid mom – I learned my lesson.

      1. Remember how fucked up I was over my 11 year old having minimal supervision on Tuesday??

      2. Accidents happen Danielle.  You sound like a great mom.  Good for you!!  We all know we can not keep an eye on our kids at all times it is just the way it is.  Wish we did have 4 sets of eyes ( wouldn’t that help).  But to just leave with out your baby.  Wow.  That take a whole knew set of parenting.  Just sick about it.
