Miss. Breeder charged with dumping newborn…again

Police release more details on abandoned baby:

Cora Lynn Watkins

25-year-old Cora Lynn Watkins has been arrested in Houston, Mississippi, for allegedly abandoning her newborn baby in a storage shed. She allegedly gave birth alone, left the baby wrapped in a blanket then returned to work. Luckily some children heard the baby crying. The article states that the kids got some family members but it’s unclear, to me at least, if they were Watkins’ family members. Either way the baby was taken to the hospital and at last report is doing well.

However this isn’t the first time that Watkins has done something like this. She was arrested back in 2010 for abandoning a baby at a Salvation Army. She received probation for that offense and was just released from probation last month. I doubt this time she’ll be so lucky.

It may have been a while since we discussed this but baby dumping like this is so unnecessary. All 50 states have Safe Haven laws where you can drop a newborn off safely with no questions asked. Specifically in Mississippi you can drop a newborn up to 3 days old at a hospital, adoption center, emergency room or EMS station.

Once again I have to ask are the safe haven laws so unknown that this keeps happening?

Amanda Hein left her newborn in a bar toilet tank because she was ‘depresssed’

Amanda C. Hein. Any guesses on what the C stands for?

Amanda Hein, accused of killing newborn, ‘suffers’ from major depression, says her attorney:

Defense: Woman accused of killing her newborn at Starters Pub suffers from depression:

Last August 27-year-old Amanda Hein gave birth to a baby boy inside the bathroom stall of a Pennsylvania pub. Instead of, you know, trying to take care of the baby police allege that Hein placed the baby inside a trash bag that was used to line the bathroom’s trash can and then placed the baby in the toilet’s tank, before returning to her friends at the bar. Her attorney is now offering up the defense of Hein suffers from depression, self-mutilation and other mental problems. Shit, he’s not even trying postpartum depression, Just regular old depression.

Let’s stop right there. It’s no secret that I suffer from depression. I have since I was a child. I attempted suicide on multiple occasions. My depression has allowed me to do some pretty embarrassing things even as an adult but murder was never one of those things. I realize everyone’s depression and metal health is different but I refuse to buy that she hid her pregnancy and killed her baby because of depression. If you suffer from major depression you’re not exactly a social butterfly wherein you party with your friends at bars. The prosecution seems to agree with me…

“I think that it’s going to be admitted that she was pregnant, that she gave birth in that stall that she in fact suffocated this baby and killed it. I think that what we’re going to see in this case is some kind of mental health defense perhaps at best,” Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli said during a November interview with WFMZ.

The prosecution is deadly serious too. They are seeking the death penalty against Hein. For Pennsylvania that’s pretty serious since the last person they executed was Philadelphia’s own Gary Heidnik who raped, tortured and killed several women in his house of horrors. Unfortunately that was 15 years ago under Governor Tom Ridge. Don’t hold your breath on seeing Hein strapped to a gurney.

Not only that but lawyers need to stop making it seem like any one with even the slightest mental health issue is a potential danger. This is one of the reasons why too many people are afraid to seek help for themselves.

Kendra Meaker Should Have been sterilized.

Cops-teen mom dumped 3-week-old baby on roadside claimed abduction

Mom arrested in 3-week-old’s disappearance

Three-week-old baby,Mia, found  in DITCH, mother arrested

Kendra Meaker arrested

Kendra Meaker is 19-years-old.  For some reason Ms. Meaker didn’t learn the lesson that a condom is cheaper than a baby after birth of her 11-month-old.

How do I know that, you ask? Well Kendra Meaker also has a 3-week-old baby, Mia.  By my math, assuming that the baby wasn’t born premature or anything along those lines, that means that Ms. Meaker some how found the time to have unprotected sex when she had a baby that was just a scant few weeks old. Less than the even recommend 6 weeks doctors tell you to wait.

That must be some need…

Kendra Meaker now has two kids.  Two very young, screaming, crying babies in diapers, who need to eat, and be bathed and loved.  So what does Kendra do? Well, being the winner that she is she drives her 3-week-old bundle of joy to a remote area and she literally dumps her on the side of the road.  So now what to do… because she needs to explain the missing newborn?  She reports to police that the baby was abducted while she was simply mailing a package and her daughters were alone in the car.  This bitch wasted the resources of the police, who issued an Amber Alert for poor baby, Mia.  Not that they weren’t suspicious of her says investigator, Jimmie Dison.

Well… I guess the weight of the lies caught up with her because after the FBI got involved she finally admitted what she had done.

Silver lining-about 12 hours later at roughly 8pm a couple who was volunteering in the search found the little girl unharmed but tangled in the weeds.  She was alive, but crying (YA THINK?  I imagine the poor angel was screaming from hunger, cold, fear and the need to be changed…) She was taken to the hospital and is reported to be doing well.

Her “mother” has been charged with obstruction of justice and endangering the life or health of a child.  She’s being held on a $10,000 bond.

Thanks to all who sent in the tip.

14-year old strangles her newborn son to death

Cassidy Goodson, 14-Year-Old, Murders Her Newborn Baby:
Teen Charged With Killing Her Newborn Son

Cassidy Goodson, 14-year old baby killer

The list of people that you’ll see in hell certainly isn’t getting any shorter. Person to add to that list? 14-year old Cassidy Godson of Lakeland, Fl.  She did the absolute unthinkable. She had a baby in her  family home and after he was born healthy and fine – she strangled him to death. Then she hid his little body in a shoe box in her closet so that her family wouldn’t find out. To call this fucked up would be the understatement of the fucking century.

Cassidy hid her pregnancy from her family, according to reports.  She was 100 lbs and the baby weighed 9 1/2 pounds when he was born. Did you do that math yet? How do you hide that growing belly without anyone noticing?  My bullshit detector is going off.  She claims she wore big clothing to mask the pregnancy.  Two of her aunts thought  her eggo was preggo, and they were reported saying that Cassidy’s mother was in complete denial. Cassidy tried to prove that she wasn’t pregnant by producing 2 negative pregnancy tests. Tests that she was allowed to take alone in the bathroom.

Cassidy went into labor on September 19th. She went into the bathroom at home, stuck a towel in her mouth, and turned on the water to help with noise control. Then she gave birth into the toilet.  When he got stuck during the delivery, she used scissors to pry him out. Once he was born and still attached to her via the umbilical cord – she strangled him until he wasn’t moving or breathing any longer.  She did it because she “didn’t know what to do with it.”  Cause of death was asphyxia from strangulation and blunt force trauma.

Fast forward 3 days later when Polk County Sheriff’s office received a call from her frantic mom, Teresa Goodson. She called to report that she had found a dead baby in her daughter’s closet after investigating a foul smell while collecting laundry.

So cops arrested Cassidy on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse. They’re still trying to decide if they’re going to charge her as an adult or not and also if they will charge any of the adults in her life that knew of the pregnancy. The judge that she went in front of is quoted saying, “Let’s remember she is a child. Where was her support system?”. Good question – where were they?

So any people to blame in this story – not just Cassidy. Yes, she’s obviously not just a stupid kid who didn’t know what to do. She knows that murder is wrong, no matter what her age. She was not educated about Safe Haven laws in Florida, which say that you can leave a baby up to 7 days old, no questions asked. If her mother, aunts, coaches, teachers, friends, etc… knew she was pregnant and didn’t help her – most of them failed her too. Especially her mother.  I’m not buying that a 100-pound 14-year old hid her pregnancy THAT well — even more so if the baby weighed 9 1/2 pounds.

RIP little man – you were gone way too soon.

Thank you to all that sent in the tips – there were a lot of you.

She “thought she was having a bowel movement”

confused turd
Police say teen allowed baby to drown in toilet then disposed of the body
$10,000 bond set for teen mother in Savannah newborn’s death

The title says it all, folks! Now I’ve heard everything – I think. We get this all the way from Savannah, GA (where, incidentally, my hubby is currently ‘stationed’). Little Miss Genius Halfwit up there (aka Anitra Hicks) killed her newborn son. Do you know why? Because she thought he was a piece of shit. No, really. She did. That’s her actual excuse. Well, to be quite fair, that’s the grandmother’s excuse, but I think she got it from the mother. Anyway, that’s the word on the street. The birth vessel gave birth in a toilet, and because she thought she was having a bowel movement, she assumed the item that made the splash was fecal matter. Yeah, and I guess when she looked in the potty before flushing, she thought her son was just a strangely shaped turd. No, that couldn’t be it – because she fished him out and put him in the trash.

Now, I don’t know about y’all, but when I unburden my bowels, I do not then remove the excrement from the commode for a better look before tossing it in the garbage can. That’s why I bought a toilet with the shiny little silver ‘comma looking’ thing on the side. It’s called a handle, and it causes the toilet to flush. I got that feature precisely so I would not have to go bobbing for breakfast after it made it’s journey through my digestive system and found a new home in the bathroom poop pool. Otherwise known as the toilet. I prefer not t o touch the food but once, and that’s when it enters my body – not at the time of exit.

So, teentw*t was preggers, and didn’t know it (yup, that’s the other excuse, she didn’t know – but that’s such a lame, tired line of BS that I decided to go with the ‘bodily functions’ excuse she provided, instead). Her Ma says she only weighed a buck-fifteen (that’s 115 pounds, for all of you non-southerners), and the poor girl just didn’t know she was knocked up. Her Ma also says that she (the Ma/grandma to dead baby) works in the medical field, and has for many years and her darling daughter never once skipped a period. Hey, grandma, if you want to use your medical knowledge to excuse your daughter’s murder of her son (your grandson), then please explain why she thought the baby in the toilet was a piece of fecal matter. Does this brilliant child of yours not know what a baby looks like? What field of medicine did you work in, anyway? the nuthouse? I don’t care if she knew she was preggo or not…as soon as she identified the object in the toilet as a baby, HER BABY, she should have grabbed him and RUN, not walked, but RUN, to the nearest hospital to get him some help. Instead, she threw him in the trash, no doubt expecting that the garbageman would also be the proud possessor of a degree in pediatric medicine, and would be able to help her son when he was found. Nah, I don’t believe that either, but it sounds at least as plausible as the story we are all being given as the gospel truth by the murderer’s family.

Oh, and the “she didn’t know she was preggo” line has been debunked already, anyway. In court, it was mentioned that it was ‘common knowledge’ that Anitra was knocked up. Oops! I guess that lie just bit the dust. I guess she’ll just have to rely on the ‘baby looked like a bowel movement’ defense. Good luck with that one. Ya know, I think that even if I DID have a bowel movement that looked like a baby, I might have kept it. I mean, you can sell ANYTHING on e-bay these days! I bet that would fetch a good price. If I managed to pass it off as art, I could probably make a mint!

I would apologize for the ‘rantiness’ of this post, but then I would be depriving all of the complainers on BB of their chance to post a comment griping about my utter lack of professionalism and the time of theirs I have wasted by posting my opinion rather than the facts. So, no apology today, folks. The only thing I’m sorry about in this post is that there is a dead baby, and the mother did not have the decency to die in childbirth herself.

If you read the linked articles (^above^), you will discover a plethora of other details that I left out. Like that Anitra’s mother thinks she should be allowed to remain out on bail so she can graduate with her class….yup, that’s right. Even murderers need an education, I guess. *gag* Y’all help yourselves to the articles and feel free to comment on anything else I may have left out.

Thanks for this ‘tip’ go to me. I have been on vacation for a couple of weeks, and have had a little more free time to do some research of my own.

Mother of 3 arrested after newborn found in the backyard

Pearl River woman faces charges after newborn baby found abandoned

Woman loses kids to state after charges of abandoning newborn

On January 16th at approximately 7 am a 13-year-old boy called 911 to report he and his 15-year-old sister had found a crying newborn in their backyard.  The newborn was wrapped in a towel and blanket and laying on the ground.  Their father wrapped the baby in more blankets to keep it warm until EMS could arrive.  What these teenagers didn’t know at the time was that newborn they had rescued was their little brother and had been left outside, by their mother Kimberly Lee (35).

When EMS arrived they found the baby boy breathing with the umbilical cord still attached.  The baby was taken Northshore Regional Medical Center then flown to Ochsner Medical Center, where he was last listed stable condition.  Shew…good news!

While questioning the family police learned Lee had been pregnant, but her husband was not aware she had given birth.  He said she had just left for work that morning.  Lee was contacted advised to go to the hospital and was interviewed there.

Lee admitted to police she had given birth that morning and put the baby outside her home.  She said she hid the pregnancy from her family by wearing over sized clothing.  I am a little confused about this; her husband knew she was pregnant according to him.  Did she hide the pregnancy from their three children and other family or did she not know her husband knew?

Anyhow, Lee was arrested and charged with second-degree cruelty to a juvenile and child desertion.  The investigation is on going to determine if anyone else will be criminally charged.

The Lee’s three children ranging in age from 8-years-old to 15-years-old have been placed in state custody.

I am at a total loss here. How can a woman who has three children already, give birth and toss the baby out into the backyard.  I guess I should be grateful my mind can’t register how a person is capable of this sort of thing, but I would love to understand.

Thanks to bprbear for the tip.

Where is Chanel Haney’s newborn?

Mason City authorities search for missing newborn

Police continue to seek help on location of baby

Police still searching for missing  newborn

The cleaning staff of the Iowa Workforce Development Center made a shocking discovery Saturday, January 7th.  While cleaning one the building’s restrooms they found an umbilical cord and placenta, no mother and no baby.

The police were able to locate the mother Chanel Hanley (19), however she has decided not to cooperate with police.  The newborn, believed to be 29-32 weeks old and about 3lbs is still missing.

Police have searched the area surrounding the Workforce Center, including roof tops, sewers, trash bins and landfills and have not been able to locate the baby.

Haney was arrested late Saturday, January 7thh on two warrants for failure to appear on charges of alcohol possession under the legal age and fifth-degree theft.  She was released shortly after on bond.

Ok seriously… make this bitch talk.  Newborns don’t go missing on their own. Ugh… I am so fucking sick of this type of bullshit.  I am sure this is not going to end well.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the police at (641)421-3636.

Thanks to Jennifer B. for the tips.

Twin newborn girls found dead in trunk

Mom Charged After Twins Found Dead In Trunk
Update: Mother Charged With Murder Of Twins

First, I’m going to start this story off with a link to the Iowa Department of Human Service, Safe Haven Act website. The website that 22-year-old Jackie Burkle of Huxley, IA obviously never went to or looked at. She gave birth to twin baby girls at home and they died. Authorities later found the dead babies in the trunk of aforementioned piece of shit’s car.  It is not known yet what caused the babies’ deaths, pending the autopsy results that can take weeks. But it is known that the babies were born alive.

But what authorities do know is that that selfish c*** deliberately and intentionally killed the babies. In fact,  Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation agent Michael Motsinger was quoted saying, “Miss Burkle indicated she didn’t intend for the kids to live after they were born. And she took — did — certain acts to make sure the lives of those newborns were terminated.”

Seems that Jackie was at work in the days before the twins’ birth, looking visibly pregnant in early January and came back two days later looking much different – aka she’d given birth and was back to work. So it would seem that she gave birth, killed the babies, then got back to work. All the while,  her daughters were dead in the trunk of her car. What in the fuck?  Well one of her coworkers smelled a rat and called the po-po. They went to do a wellness check on her and found that she’d given birth. More searching uncovered the babies’ bodies. What shocks me to my core is that this bitch lived with her parents. Where the fuck were they? Didn’t they know she was preggo? How did she give birth at home and they didn’t know? A lot of unanswered questions right now.

She’s been arrested on two counts of first degree murder and is being held on a $1 million bail at the county jail. She faces life in prison if convicted. Unfortunately, Iowa does not have the death penalty. In my opinion, death is actually too good for this bitch. I hope she gets life. Starting at 22 years old? That’s a long fucking sentence to serve and hopefully she never gets a break from  nightmares and visions of snuffing out the lives of her two baby girls for the next 60+ years.

Hats off to the coworker for reporting her ass. If she hadn’t, this c*** would likely gotten away with a double murder.

She did not take advantage of the Safe Haven Act, which allows mothers to drop their newborns off at hospitals or fire stations with no risk of criminal charges.   I just don’t fucking get how these selfish tw*ts that kill their newborns don’t fucking get that this is the easiest way to walk away from unwanted babies.  Now she faces a life behind bars and the babies are dead. No one wins, right?

RIP baby girls… I can only imagine how beautiful you were.

Thanks to everyone for the countless tips that were sent in on this one.

Camden Hughes gets Justice!

Texas mom pleads guilty in death of son

Some of you, if not all of you, will remember the story Cynical Me wrote about Camden Hughes.  6-year-old Camden’s body was found on May 14th inMaine and led to a nationwide effort to identify his body and locate his killer.

I can assume that you have realized if it was featured here the killer was one or both of his parents.  In Camden’s case it was his mother, Julianne McCrery (42).

On November 4th, Julianne pleaded guilty to second-degree murder per her plea agreement with prosecution.

According to the prosecution Julianne smothered Camden with motel room pillows after drugging him up with Nyquil.  Camden would fight for his little life, a struggle that lasted “about three minutes.”  She then wrapped his little body a green blanket, drove from New Hampshire to Maine and dumped his body on the side of a dirt road.

She will return to court on January 13, 2012 for sentencing and is expected to get 45 years to life in prison.

Thanks to Marcy for the update.

Now you can Rest In Peace, Camden.

Crayons and Coloring Books? Pfft, I prefer my GUN!

3-year-old pulls BB gun on police-father,Terrence Myers abandons him

3-year-old abandon is stolen car pulls BB gun on police  officer, father arrested

I am pretty sure that when a police officer approaches a stolen car to look inside the last thing expected to be seen is a three-year-old child brandishing a gun. That is exactly what happened about two weeks ago now inNorth Charleston,SC. I’m sure the officer was really caught off guard because most children of this age are busy spending their days with crayons, toys, and using their moms as jungle gyms, not grabbing a gun near-by when an officer is coming to where they are, but that’s precisely what this tot did. Luckily for the officer and the toddler, the gun the little boy was brandishing was a BB gun. The little guy safely handed over the BB gun to the officer while exclaiming ‘Gun, gun!’ The child was found inside a red Montero sports car with aUtah license plate. His father, 23-year-old Terrence Myers, was driving the car.

The incident began when a police officer got a tip about a stolen car being in the patrol area. The officer turned around to verify the license plate, but as the patrol car turned around the suspect, later identified as Myers, made an abrupt turn onto a side street, parked in a drive way, and then leapt an 8-foot fence abandoning the car, and his child. Gee, thanks a lot dad. I just love going on your criminal excursions just for you to abandon me when the shit starts to hit the fan! I can only imagine what went through this poor little guys head when he watched his father exit the car and then leap over a fence without him. He must have been scared out of his mind!

While Myers was hiding out at a relative’s house near-by police called in K-9 Units to attempt to locate the suspect. Two women also approached police at the scene and said that Myers called the mother of the child who asked that they go pick him up. Police asked the mother to come to the scene for questioning. In my opinion, there is absolutely no excuse for her having asked someone else to pick up her child from a crime scene. Work doesn’t cut it, visiting someone in the hospital doesn’t cut it, the only thing in my mind that does is if she were dead, dying, or seriously injured and at the hospital herself, but even then I’d find a way off of my hospital bed to go get him. Hard to do when you’re dead or dying, but I guess I’m just stubborn.

Myers was later located at a home on a near-by street and placed under arrest. Police found a gram of marijuana in his front pocket. Myers said he ran from police because he did not have a license and he had marijuana in his possession. Too bad for him his petty confession did not impress anyone. At his arraignment bail was set at $25,000 for three charges, $5,000 for possession of marijuana, $10,000 for possession of a stolen vehicle, and $10,000 for unlawful neglect of a child. Unlawful neglect, isn’t all neglect unlawful?

Myers also has a long criminal history dating back to 2006 when he was convicted of common law robbery and strong armed robbery. Here’s a breakdown I got from one of our sources.

In Oct. 2007, Myers was arrested and charged with manufacture and possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute, distribution of crack cocaine, unlawful carrying of a weapon, resisting arrest and second degree burglary.

In June 2008, Myers was convicted of possession of meth or cocaine base and unlawful carrying of a weapon. In May 2008, Myers violated the conditions of his parole.

Myers was arrested again in Sept. 2009 when he was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of hypodermic needles and syringes. A month later, he was charged with burglary, breaking into auto tanks where fuel is stored and weapon sale / possession of stolen gun.

In Jan. 2010, Myers violated parole again. Then, in June, he was arrested and charged with possession of meth or cocaine base, resisting arrest and littering.

This little boy is three-years-old, there is no way his mother couldn’t have known he was bad news with a track record like that! For goodness sake, what in the world made her think that he was going to make a good father when long before they had a child together he was committing violent crimes and violating parole? Looking at his possession charges, they were probably getting high together and screwing so she was too high to care, but I’m only speculating. I’ll leave the rest of the speculation to our wonderful readers.

There is some good and bad news at the end of this though. The good news is no dead kids. The bad news is the whereabouts of the toddler were not reported. Having said that one can only assume that he’s with his mother (if you can call her that). Maybe she’ll learn from this, but as we’ve seen in the past many of them don’t.
