Parenting so bad, it's criminal

Greetings from Lady Gray

Greetings from Lady Gray

I want to take a moment to say how excited I am to be a part of the new Bad Breeders! I started reading all of Trench’s crime blogs, and especially Bad Breeders, many years ago, and to now be a contributing writer alongside my friend and mentor is exhilarating. I hope readers will enjoy my articles and opinions, and I hope positive things happen with the site back in business.

My heartfelt thanks to Trench for giving me a chance to publish my thoughts on the same page as him, The Master Crimefighting Blogger.

We’re Back!

After a long absence, Bad Breeders is finally back.

The reason I stopped writing for the site was because I didn’t have the time to maintain such a popular site, and to be quite honest, the stories we would post were playing havoc with my depression. Well, now I have the time and I have a better handle on my depression so I felt there was no better time than the present to bring the site back.

However, things are going to be done a little differently this time. The first thing is, joining me in writing for the site will be my proofreader and editor Lady Gray. She’s going to be a great addition to the site because she has an extensive background in the child welfare field. Secondly, this site is going to take a new direction. Instead of just naming and shaming suspects, we’re going to use these stories to address the problems behind the stories. This will no longer be a site where you go just so you can be outraged. We want to make a real difference. Lastly, the site is going to be more PG rated. In order to be more respected we need to tone the language down.

As far as the old posts go, they’ll eventually be around in one form or another, I just haven’t decided if they’ll be part of the main site or if I’ll have them archived separately.

If you followed the site before on social media, you’ll need to follow the new links posted at the top of the right hand column for your social network of choice. If you were on the mailing list before, you’ll need to sign up again.

So hopefully, you join us in this new journey going forward.

We Get Letters: I will report this

I’m not even going to preface this one. Oh wait, I guess I just did. Anyway…

Dont write a story if you dont know the facts. This website is based off of what other people say. And you write biased BULLSHIT fucking meedia stories that have the potential to ruin someones life. Fucking cocksuckers. What right do you think you have even having a website like this?? I really do hope you respond to what im saying. I will report this.

*sigh*

Once again, this website gets its information from media reports who usually get their information from the police. It’s not like we’re going door to door in the neighborhood asking about what happened like some group of nattering hens. If charges are dropped or a person is exonerated in any case we will be more than happy to remove the story. Somehow I doubt that has happened in whatever case you’re talking about.

You know what else has the potential to ruin someone’s life? Child abuse.

What right do I have? Last time I checked it was called the First Amendment. There are exceptions to the first amendment but I doubt you’ll find them here. Some people even call this site a responsibility more than a right.

And while I’m consciously trying to cut back on my cursing who the fuck are you going to report us to, the internet police?

Eat a bowl of dicks,
Trench Reynolds

We get letters: Die

We got the following e-mail not too long ago from someone calling themselves ‘die’ with the e-mail address of fuckyou@*****.com. I blocked out the service name in case that’s an actual e-mail address. I doubt it belonged to the person who sent this.

You posted false information about my father you mother fucker

This curt e-mail allows me to address a couple of things. The first is e-mails like this aren’t going to help any suspect. More than likely they would cause the writer of that particular blog post to dig deeper into the suspect in question. The e-mail’s author did not specify who their father was.

Secondly if a suspect has been cleared or charges have been dropped we don’t want the post up any more than you do. Please send us a polite e-mail asking us to remove the post and we will.

Lastly this is pretty lame for hate mail. Try harder next time.

We get letters: Thanks for giving the victims a voice

We received the following e-mail recently…

I just wanted to say thank you. A few years ago, I came across a link for this site. As an abuse victim, I feel it’s important that these kids get their stories told. People should know what they’ve been through. People should love them and in more tragic cases, miss them. Even if they’ve never met them. About 2 years ago, my husband and I were trying to conceive our first child. It wasn’t going very well, and I fell into a deep depression. While reading your site, my heart would constantly break with every story posted. It was unfair that these monsters were given the greatest gift that the universe had to offer, and abused and neglected them. I’m proud to say that I am now a mother to a beautiful healthy 9 month baby boy. I believe that your site helps others to realize that they must always, ALWAYS, be aware of the people they bring around their children. I just wish this site existed and was available to my parents while I was growing up. Maybe life wouldn’t have been so hard for me.

But enough of the sob story, I just wanted to thank you. All of you, for giving victims voices. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

It is we who should thank you. Thanks to letters like this it makes us realize that we are making a difference even with our snark, sarcasm and foul language.

See kids, it’s not all hate mail

We get letters: I am about to report your toxic website

I received the following e-mail the other day…

Who the hell do u think u are? I am about to report your toxic website to the authorities. I have been involved with a story that you retards reported on your stupid site and I can guarentee you idiots, that none of it was true. Get your facts right before you shame and humiliate an innocent person. Dickheads. I have a police report to back up….. Do u? Didn’t think so.

I have a policy here that if charges are dropped or if someone has been found not guilty I will remove a story if requested. The e-mail had the person’s name attached to it and I could not find any mention of this person on this site. I did some further investigation and found that the e-mail came from Australia which means probably by law the suspect’s name wasn’t made public. However being the magnanimous guy that I am I reached out to this person albeit probably not in the most friendly way possible…

Or you could tell me what story it is and I can have it removed.

To which I received the reply…

How about you remove them all. Your stories are false. Why don’t you put yourself on your site. Dickhead.

How about because I haven’t been arrested for child abuse?

Anyway I guess we have to go through this again. This site is a blog. We’re not reporters or journalists. We get our information from the news media. If anything that we posted is untrue then your issue is with whatever news source we used, Also let the record show that I was willing to have whatever story it was removed.

Besides, what authorities are you going to, the Internet Police?

So where have we been?

I’ve been getting some e-mails lately that basically say “This site was better when you guys posted every day. It’s really gone downhill.” To that I say, fuck you.

We’re not here to do your bidding. Believe it or not some of us actually have lives outside of this website and real world responsibilities that come before some crappy blog.

Some of you even seem to think you can do a better job than we do. Go right ahead. Hell, I’ll even throw a link or two up if you want people to read your ‘better’ blog. Then we’ll see how often you update your blog.

Until then get off my ass and we’ll update when we damn well feel like it.

Greedy mum sets the tasty arm of the law on her hungry son

NC mom has son arrested for stealing her Pop-Tarts

Latasha Love, N.C. mom, has son arrested for allegedly stealing her Pop-Tarts, report says

Somehow, I highly doubt that Pop Tarts are "made with real fruit"...

Somehow, I highly doubt that Pop Tarts are “made with real fruit”…

Latasha Renee Love (37), of Charlotte NC, called the po-po on her young son. Was he threatening her with a knife? Did he steal her car and crash it into a tree? NO! She had her son arrested and put through the juvenile court system, for the heinous crime of eating some POP TARTS!

The silly police officers actually turned up and arrested the poor kid, and charged him with misdemeanour larceny. The police estimated the value of the stolen goods to be a grand total of $5 and commonly found as a staple food item in most supermarkets throughout the USA. On Wednesday last week, a reporter waited two hours to speak to Greedy Mum. G.M. parked her car round the back of her house and briefly made an appearance on her front porch, but only to swear at the reporter and slam the door.

Oh come on now, Latasha. Where is the Love? Surely you could have shared the Pop Tarts with your son? Pop Tarts aren’t exactly a fine wine or vintage cheddar. The poor kid probably thought they were for him, seeing as Pop Tarts are marketed towards children. Greedy Mum has had problems with disciplining her son in the past, probably because she couldn’t get out of her mobility scooter or waddle fast enough to keep up with him. So she palmed the responsibility off to someone else.

The misdemeanour case against the poor boy will be heard in a juvenile court. At the expense of Greedy Mum.

Aussie’s Native Natterings: Pop Tarts used to be widespread here in Australia in the 90s, but now they’re only available in specialty shops. They’re really expensive (like $10 for 8 of them). I only like them occasionally, and I bought a 24-pack on the cheap once ($10). I shared them with my sisters, who expressed disbelief at the fact that Pop Tarts are a “breakfast food” in the US. We also laughed at the box because it claimed that Pop Tarts were a “good source of 8 vitamins and minerals”. You can’t get the full range of flavours here, only what the shops import. The last lot I had were Fudge Sundae.

Feeding your kid Pop Tarts for breakfast on a daily basis should be child abuse. Those things are seriously unhealthy.

Thanks to Muggle for the tip!

Suspicious death of boy who “fell off a pogo stick”

Death of boy, 7, who fell off pogo stick treated as suspicious

Pogo stick death: Mother waited 24 hours before calling paramedics

pogo stick

Pogo stick rider using appropriate safety gear and riding outside.

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of 7 year old Levai Bonnar, from Oatley in Sydney’s south, who reportedly fell off his pogo stick and died of a head injury. It started out as a seemingly innocent accident, but police now have reason to believe that this is a homicide (whether directly or indirectly caused by someone’s actions).

According to his mum, Kayla James, Levai was riding on his pogo stick inside their Mulga Road flat on Monday morning when he fell off, hit his head and lost consciousness. She said he stayed like that, but was still breathing at 10.30pm when she checked up on him. On Tuesday morning, Kayla woke up at 6.15am and found Levai was not breathing and had no pulse. She rang 000, 24 hours after Levai had hit his head, and the ambos pronounced him dead at 6.30am.

Just process that for a bit. Kayla did not seek medical help after her son was KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS! That is why the police think this is suspicious. She did not seek help for her injured child and her inaction cost Levai his life. Head injuries are not something that will “go away”, you need to seek medical help when one happens. Everybody knows that. And who the fuck lets their kid play with a pogo stick inside?? Roller skates/blades, bikes, pogo sticks etc. are outside toys. Not only did Levai hit his head from bouncing around in such a cramped space, he would have destroyed stuff or knocked over his siblings too.

Police reviewed footage from a nearby CCTV camera and found that Kayla’s partner, Kodi James Maybir, was quickly disposing of rubbish in the 15 min timeframe between Kayla finding Levi and the ambos arriving. Hmmm, why was disposing of that rubbish the most important thing at that exact moment? “Oh honey, my poor son is dead, can you please do a quick tidy up before the ambos get here?” Luckily the police found that nugget, because they’ll be rummaging through the bins and they might just hit paydirt, such as bloodied clothing, a possible murder weapon, and other interesting gems.

I very highly doubt that Levai’s injuries were caused by “falling off a pogo stick” and Kayla’s story just doesn’t add up. Firstly, you do not ride a pogo stick inside. There’s just not enough room in a regular house, let alone a flat. Secondly she waited for over 24 hours to call an ambulance, and then only because Levai was dead. If it really was a fall from a pogo stick, she would have called an ambulance straightaway, because a fall from a pogo stick is an accident. This long stretch of time between when Levai was knocked unconscious and when Kayla actually got medical help (which by then it was too late for him) indicates that Kayla and Kodi may have something to hide about what really killed Levai. Police are looking at forensic evidence and trying to piece together a timeline of what happened. An autopsy will also be performed on Levai.  Good luck trying to get any clues from Kayla, who didn’t call for help for her little boy, who instructed her boyfriend to throw away rubbish (read: evidence) before the ambulance arrived and who may very well be spraying bullshit everywhere to cover her own arse or her boyfriend’s.

The family is known to DoCS, meaning that there has been previous complaints against Kayla and/or Kodi. Kayla separated from Levai’s father and went to live in a caravan park with Levai and his siblings before moving to the flat in Oatley with Kodi.

Rest in Peace little Levai. Bounce in Heaven.

Texan birth vessel tries to sell toddler on Craigslist

Huffman mom allegedly placed ad on Craigslist to find her child a new home

Stephanie Redus, Texas Mom, Put 3-Year-Old Son Up For Adoption On Craigslist, Police Say

Stephanie Redus

Stephanie Redus

Our druggie-eyebrowed broad up there with just the slightest hint of crazy, is Stephanie Redus (29) of Huffman TX. She tried to sell her 3 year old son on that notoriously dodgy website, Craigslist.

Here’s the ad that she put up:

“Hi, I’m trying to adopt out my three-year-old son. I’m not in a good place in my life and don’t feel like I can care for him properly, but I don’t know where to start. If you or know anyone who is interested in caring for him please let me know. I’m a single mom and can’t do this.

Thanks, Desperate.”

There are many, many options for this young lass to take. Not one of them involving selling her child. Call CPS. Ask family to help out. If Dad’s around, make him step up to the plate. Get counselling. With the bad reputation that Craiglist have for animal abusers, pedophiles, rapists etc. looking for their next target, I wouldn’t even sell vegetables on there! Let alone, an animal or a child.

What’s worse is that Stephanie is pregnant with no. 2. She admits she suffers from anxiety and depression but can’t take her meds because of her pregnancy. That was her responsibility to ensure that she didn’t fall pregnant in the first place. There are many options to do that. Easiest being using a condom. But accidents happen. If she cannot function without her meds and can’t use ones that are safe for pregnancy, the only option would be to end the current pregnancy. As much as some people will protest that, as much as I would be flamed for this, if she was incapable of rational thinking without her meds, she could be a real danger to her son and anyone else. A simple procedure could save a lot of heartbreak down the line.

It’s unclear to police what sort of charges will be laid, but they will charge her with advertising the placement of a child, which is a misdemeanour. The police will further investigate and possibly upgrade the charges if they find further evidence of abuse or neglect. Stephanie posted $1000 bail and will return to court May 21.

Just a question, if she’s a “single mum”, where did baby no. 2 come from? Either Dad’s had a last hurrah before jumping off the crazy train minus his son, or she’s had a one night stand or fling with someone else and gotten pregnant that way if Dad died or left before the pregnancy happened.
