19 Children Left in Hell – Parents Went Out Of State

Mother arrested for leaving kids alone in hot Kentucky home

Mother, Jackie Farah, charged after leaving 19 children in sweltering, filthy house

Police-Parents left 19 kids home alone with no food

Good News or Bad News first?  *Flips a coin* Damn. Fine, Bad News it is.

Imagine the fun being one of six cousins going to Aunt Jackie and Uncle Joe’s house for the summer to spend time with thirteen other children that the two had from different relationships and decided to be a big family somewhat like the Brady Bunch.  Could be a lot of fun, right?

Yeah, but the Brady Bunch had a clean house, air conditioning, and food.  None of that was prevalent neither was Jackie Farah or Irving “Joe” Smith – the respective Aunt/Uncle these cousins were supposed to be visiting! Nope, the two *ahem* parents *ahem* had to leave out of state to Michigan for a family emergency….practically a week.  Car problems and such delayed their return. Can I get a “Bullshit!” please? Chances are they bit off more than they could chew and decided to go on a little ‘vay-cay’ of their own.

Yeah, during the heat wave in Bowling Green,Kentucky it got up to 101 degrees and there was no AC in that house.  Add to the fact none of the dogs are house broken – why would one of the room have an inch or more of feces in it? The smell of piss and shit would make the air hard to breathe on top of the stifling heat. I’ve watched Animal Cops retrieve critters in houses like that with respirators on and taking breaks to cool off OUTSIDE such conditions – I felt bad for them having to do the kitty/doggy round up in that. I’m infuriated that children had to be subjected to that!

No food in the house – the children had to go begging in the neighborhood at different times. Um, really how the hell do you have that many kids and invite more over long term without having food bought for that?  You got 19 kids ranging from babies to a teenager with no food…almost all of them are in the ‘vacuum’ appetite range to boot!

Good News – One neighbor, Annie Adams, call the cops to investigate the mess. She also noted how both parents never left for work either and there was always kids hanging around. Kids are taken to the hospital and are in custody of the State. Adams said that she’ll be moving out of fear of retribution from the Brady Bunch from Hell….

The bad auntie’s in the Big House with 14 charges of criminal abuse and five counts of wanton endangerment, no bail, but the bad uncle’s still at large.

Tip appreciation to Dee Turner. I scrounged up some additional links though.

Special thanks to Eccentric Lady for the write-up.

Three for one…it’s a Monday…

3 indicted on child-abuse charges in Wood County

It’s Monday, I’m still tired from the weekend, and I wake up to this…

Three different cases, two dead children, and one six-month old with a fractured skull, but, thankfully still alive.

Nathan J. Brenner, 35, of Liberty Center, Ohio, has been charged with murder and three other charges in the death of his girlfriend’s 2-year old daughter, Emma Zehnpfennig. Emma died of severe head trauma, after spending a week on life support in Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. The boyfriend was ‘caring for’ the child when the injuries occurred. Apparently, the phrase ‘caring for’ is the new euphemism for ‘beating to death’, although the details of the abuse were not listed in this article – other than ‘head trauma’, of course. No word on the mother, Tabitha Zehnpfennig, or whether she has anything to say about the death of her baby. She has not been charged. Please, people, listen to me – no penis is worth the death of your child. Buy a dildo if you can’t live without sex, but don’t HIRE one to watch your kid for you! Geez….

Erin N. Taylor, 19, of Bowling Green, has been indicted on endangerment charges for the injuries to her 6-month old son, whose name was not listed in the article. The infant was taken to the hospital with a fractured skull and ‘other bleeding injuries’. WTF?!? How many injuries can a 6-month old have? Don’t answer that, it was a rhetorical question.

Rebecca Steinmiller, 25, also of Bowling Green, has also been charged with endangerment and is currently still a guest at the Gray Bar Motel (a.k.a. Wood County Jail), where her sorry arse has been sitting since May 11. I’m not sure why she has only been charged with endangerment, since the baby is DEAD, but there it is. 3-month old Carter Steinmiller died on May 5. The endangerment charges stemmed from a broken arm sustained several DAYS before the child was taken to the hospital. Steinmonster…oops…Steinmiller… called 911 on the evening of May 5 to tell them she had just awakened from a nap and found her baby not breathing. Good grief, people, I know babies are allergic to parents getting a reasonable amount of sleep (mine never wanted me to sleep for more than a couple hours at a time when they were that small), but the last time I checked, taking a nap was not enough to induce anaphylaxis in an infant. The cause of death has not yet been determined, but I would be greatly surprised if it was anything less than parent-induced. After all, this stellar parent DID withhold treatment of the broken arm for more than 4 days. The husband’s name was not mentioned, and I am wondering why, since he was present at the time, and should have been held equally responsible for the medical neglect, if nothing else…

That’s going to be it for me today – three strikes, and I’m out. I need to go hug my own babies for a while now, and remind them how much I love them.

May Karma join forces with Lady Justice to make this one b*tch of a day for the abusers.

I received no tips on this one – I actually stumbled across this one on my own.

Mother Indicted for Locking 4 year old up

Woman accused of locking son up indicted

Bowling Green Mother Indicted

Lockem up mom

That lovely piece of work up there is Sharese Byrnes.  She’s accused of locking her 4-year-old up in his room with a urine and feces soaked mattress.  On August 8th police arrived at her home in Bowling Green and no one answered their knock.  A bystander told them they had knocked on the door for more than an hour with no answer.  The police asked the boy whom they had seen through a window to come to the door.  He told them he couldn’t.  After several minutes the mother came to the door and said she’d been upstairs resting and that her son was supposed to be in his room napping.  When officers entered the home they found dirty laundry and food containers in the living room, fly traps hanging from the ceiling in every room and pungent smell of urine and feces.  The boy’s door was locked from the outside and there was also a hasp for locking it as well.  He didn’t have a bed only a urine soaked mattress in the middle of the floor littered with feces and food.  Instead of coloring books and crayons he had been playing with his own feces on the wall. Police said that even the carpets were soaked in urine in his room and that their shoes “squished” as they walked in.  CPS took the boy into their custody.  Nasty mom faces up to five years in prison for second degree criminal abuse.

A little dirty laundry I can understand, I can even understand the fly traps this time of year but to lock your child in a room with a urine soaked mattress and nothing to play with but his own feces???  DISGUSTING!!!  The filth that this poor kid had to live in is beyond a little.  Hopefully he doesn’t have to live with his dirty mother until she cleans up her act and does some time.  Poor kid!

Thanks to Amanda for the tip!
