Megan Elizabeth Everett

I can’t believe it’s been over a year since I first posted the story of Megan Elizabeth Everett. She’s the woman from Sunrise, Florida, who had joint custody of her daughter and went on the run because she didn’t want her daughter vaccinated. Not only that but she allegedly wanted her then 2-year-old daughter to be homeschooled so she could only learn about the Confederacy. The crazy runs deep in this one.

Yesterday Everett was captured not too far outside of Jacksonville, Florida, while using an assumed name for both her and her daughter. She was featured on the CNN show ‘The Hunt’ that’s hosted by former America’s Most Wanted host John Walsh. I didn’t know he had a new show. Good for him. But I digress.

While I’m glad that her daughter is now safe and back in the arms of her caring father this story affords me the opportunity to discuss some things. The first is, like I keep saying, there is no scientific evidence linking vaccinations to Autism. For some reason Autism is the bogeyman of Luddites who want to scare people into believe whatever medical conspiracy theory they subscribe to. Secondly there needs to be more checks and balances when it comes to homeschooling. Too many people use homeschooling as a way to either hide child abuse from authorities or to indoctrinate them into some hateful thinking. I’m sorry to the legitimate homeschoolers but too many bad apples are ruining it for you. Lastly, as I’ve posted recently, the Confederacy is nothing to celebrate. Even if you take away the racism you still left with a bunch of seditionists and losers.

I don’t see why anybody would want their kid to be a disease carrying racist yet here we are.

Megan Elizabeth Everett

Let’s get this out of the way right up front. There is no link between vaccines and Autism. It has been debunked time and time again. If you believe that there is you are a gullible and ignorant Luddite. Like 22-year-old Megan Elizabeth Everett of Sunrise, Florida.

Everett had shared custody of her 2-year-old daughter Lilly. Back in May when it was time for Everett to return Lilly to her father she didn’t and is now part of a nationwide manhunt for both Lilly and her egg donor. The reason Everett allegedly kidnapped her daughter is so she wouldn’t be vaccinated. The crazy doesn’t end there though as Everett only wanted her daughter to learn about the Confederacy. Yes, that Confederacy, the failed nation that broke from the Union in order to perpetuate slavery in North America.

According to court records, Everett left a note for Baumann vaguely explaining her actions.

“You are a great dad,” she wrote, with the word “great” underlined. “If I let them take her and vaccinate her and brainwash her, I wouldn’t be doing what’s right. I cannot let a judge tell me how my daughter should be raised. We will miss you. But I had to leave.”

“One of the issues we had was, she wanted to home school my daughter,” said Baumann. “I didn’t want that to happen. She didn’t want Lilly to learn about black history. She just wanted her to learn about the Confederacy.”

Once again we have home schooling being used to hide behind racism and anti-vaxxing which both can be considered a type of abuse.

It seems that Everett ‘s new squeeze, Carlos Lesters, may have been the one who put these ideas in her had as his entire family has been described as Confederate flag waving gun nuts. Lesters also has family in Georgia and Kentucky.

Police ask anyone with information about the whereabouts of Everett and Lilly to call 954-746-3600 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).

Oh an as an aside, the Confederate flag in all its forms should be referred to by its proper name, the traitor’s rag.
