Pill popping Breeder ODs behind wheel with 4-year-old in the car

Pill popping breeder ODs behind wheel with 4-year-old in the car

Colleen Nichols

30-year-old Colleen Nichols was allegedly found behind the wheel of her vehicle after overdosing on prescription pills in Boca Raton, Florida. In the back of the vehicle was her 4-year-old daughter who just wanted to go her preschool. It doesn’t sound like the car was involved in any kind of collision, thankfully. However, the vehicle was unlocked with Nichols slumped over the wheel. A witness called 911 and EMT’s had to use Narcan to revive her. Reports say Nichols took an almost 30 day supply of Klonipin in a little over a day. After Nichols returned to consciousness, first responders asked her where she thought her daughter was and Nichols was said to have responded by saying: “I don’t know, I must have blacked out, I’m under a lot of stress.”

How much ‘stress’ do you have to be under to take a month’s worth of Klonipin in less than a two-day period? Unless you’re a four-fingered member of a bomb squad in Afghanistan, you’re not under that much stress. Then again, it’s a common characteristic of drug addicts to blame everyone but themselves for their behavior. They tell the most outlandish lies in order to try to get their fix and expect you to believe them. In too many cases, addicts don’t care who the repercussions of their actions affect, even if it’s their own children.

Prescription drug abuse is now the worst drug abuse problem in the U.S. today. Unfortunately, most addicts don’t think they have a problem, and can’t start recovering until they do. The Mayo Clinic website has a detailed guide on how to stage an intervention in case a loved one has a substance abuse problem.

McHeroin, I’m lovin’ it

Robert Paul Palmer and Tamica Lynn Jeffers

Parents overdose on heroin at McDonald’s as kids, 5 and 8, play at restaurant’s PlayPlace: Outrage?:

Cops: Parents shoot up heroin while kids play at McDonald’s:

Here’s a scene I’m sure a lot of us are familiar with. You’re getting a touch of cabin fever and want to get you, your significant other and most importantly your kids out of the house for a little while. The thing is you don’t have a lot of cash for an expensive day out like a movie or an amusement park. Instead you scrape up what little cash you have and take everyone to McDonald’s for some dollar menu burgers and the kids can play in the play center. Everybody is having such a good time that you and your squeeze decide to shoot up. Wait, what? Go back a second. What the fuck? No one does that. Who the hell shoots up heroin in a McDonald’s while their kids are in the ball pit?

According to police in Green Township, Ohio, that’s exactly what Robert Paul Palmer, 37, and Tamica Lynn Jeffers, 33, from Indiana allegedly did. Not only did they shoot up in McDonald’s but they both overdosed to the point that reports are calling them life threatening overdoses. Luckily the children, ages 8 and 5 were unharmed you know, except for the trauma of seeing their parents OD’d and arrested.

I wonder if they asked for a moist towelette so they could keep the needle clean.

Methadone in a sippy cup

Jill Goff

Utah mother charged with child abuse homicide after her son overdoses:

Tooele 2-year-old dies after mom gave him methadone, police say:

32-year-old Jill Goff of Tooele, Utah has been charged with homicide after her 2-year-old son, Aiden Goff, ingested methadone and died.

Goff allegedly kept the methadone in a Gatorade bottle between her bed and the wall. She claims she poured the liquid into Aiden’s sippy cup and gave it to him. She then gave it to her other kids ages 5 and 8. When the 8-year-old complained that the drink tasted like medicine it was only then that Goff realized she gave the kids methadone. Sounds like an inadvertent accident right? Where’s the malice you ask?

Instead of calling 911 she tried to get Aiden to vomit and then took a nap with him. She said she didn’t call 911 at first because she was scared. Probably scared of being arrested. As usual the fear of arrest outweighs the well-being of a child. Now instead of a neglect charge she’s been charged with murder.

Let that be a lesson. Would you rather go to jail for a little bit and have live children or go to jail possibly for life and have a dead child on your conscience. Think about it.

Breeder hides in trailer to avoid sentencing in baby sitter’s death

Ashley Jackson

Ashley Jackson

Woman Who Skipped Sentencing For Child Abuse Arrested:

Woman who missed sentencing in overdose death found in trailer:

24-year-old Ashley Jackson was supposed to be sentenced in the death of 12-year-old Serena Garrett. Jackson brought the girl to her home in Lincoln, Nebraska to baby sit her twin infants. Sounds like the responsible thing to do right? Well, Jackson brought Serena to her home sop Jackson could smoke meth with her friends. She also supplied Serena and her other guests with booze and painkillers. Apparently Jackson really didn’t grasp the concept of a baby sitter. Serena was not only sexually assaulted by a 20-year-old party goer but she died of an overdose of painkillers.

In December Jackson pleaded no contest to Serena’s death but when it came time to be sentenced Jackson allegedly no showed the hearing. Police found her last night hiding in a trailer (go figure) that was parked on the property of a construction equipment company.

Unfortunately Jackson is only looking at five years for Serena’s death. Back in the 1950s you could be eligible for the death penalty if you were a drug dealer and someone died from your drugs. We should never have stopped that practice.

UK toddler dies after drinking mother’s methadone

Riley Pettipierre

Riley Pettipierre

Toddler ‘died after drinking methadone from child’s beaker left in bedroom shared with his father and drug addict mother’:

The adorable face you see above is that of two-year old Riley Pettipierre, who lived in Derbyshire, England. Last March, Riley’s ‘mother’ Sally Dent awoke to find her son unresponsive in bed. His lips were blue and he wasn’t breathing. He was rushed to hospital but sadly, died shortly after arrival. An autopsy later revealed that Riley had consumed between 10 and 20ml of Methadone. Turns out, Sally Dent had a ‘history of drug use going back many years’ and had been prescribed Methadone to help her kick a heroin habit. Yesterday, Sally and Riley’s father, Shaun Binfield, were both found guilty of manslaughter and cruelty to a child. Turns out, these mouth breathers thought it would be perfectly safe to leave a CHILD’S BEAKER full of Methadone on top of a chest of drawers in their toddler sons bedroom. Why? So it could be in ‘easy reach’ of Sally. Yeah, it was in easy reach of their son, too. That just makes a terrible situation even more outrageous. They KNEW the cup was there and yet they didn’t move it and still allowed Riley into the room unsupervised. Riley did what any toddler would do. He probably drank from the cup thinking it was juice, not something that could, and did, take his tragically short life. The judge has adjourned sentencing until the 19th of February. Personally, I hope they throw away the key, as it was entirely their fault Riley died, but I know it’s a futile hope.

What class acts. I’d just love it if someone would wipe that stupidly smug look off her face.

Morphine Mom kills baby through breast milk

Why yes I am an addict. Why do you ask?

SC police: Baby died from morphine in breast milk:

Drugs In Mom’s Breast Milk Blamed In Baby’s Death:

Let’s see. In the last 3 posts we’ve had booze, meth and weed. Hell, let’s throw some morphine into the mix for good measure.

In Spartanburg County, South Carolina police there have arrested 37-year-old Stephanie Greene for the November, 2010 death of her 6-week-old daughter Alexis.

Investigators say that she had so much morphine in her system that it passed a lethal level of morphine to her daughter through her breast milk. According to at least one expert that’s an incredibly difficult feat…

Breast-feeding mothers are allowed to take morphine because low levels of the painkiller pass into the mother’s milk when taken properly, said Diana West, a spokeswoman for La Leche League International, which encourages breast-feeding in new mothers.

“Most drugs like morphine pass so poorly through human milk that it is nearly impossible for a child to have a therapeutic dose, much less a lethal dose,” West said.

Greene is accused of illegally obtaining morphine in one form or another 38 times all from the same pharmacy. Check out her grocery list for the past 2 years…

Fentanyl – Pain med that comes in Patch form. Often given to people who suffer from constant pain.

Duragesic – Pain med along the same type as Fentanyl.

Morphene – In pill form

Hydrocodon – also known as Vicoprofen

Shit like this rubs me the wrong way horribly for two reasons. The first is my wife has a constant pain disorder and it takes almost an act of God for her to get any kind of pain killers. The second is that I used to work at a pharmacy. Granted this was 20 years ago but even then we had pill poppers constantly coming in to the store trying to get refills of Percocet. Back then it was illegal to issue a prescription for Percocet that included refills. Even back then we had a stringent check for prescription abuse. I would imagine that it’s even more stringent today with everything being computerized the way it is yet she was still able to illegally obtain morphine 38 times at the same pharmacy. It sounds like to me that she may have had an inside connection at the pharmacy.

And lastly and most importantly a child who never had a chance at life is dead all because this slag had to get her fix.

‘They’ should see how many of those Fentanyl patches they can fit on her before she croaks. I hear opiate overdose is a nasty way to go.

The sad part is she’s looking at more time for the drugs than she is for the death of her own daughter.

Lori Puentes Needs to Go Back to Kindergarten

Lori Michelle Puentes Pill Whore Du Jour

Mother arrested on child neglect after son swallows pills

911 calls shows mom in Hernando child neglect case couldn’t direct rescuers

If I recall correctly, I learned my parents full names, phone number and address when I was in kindergarten, maybe even a little before and I have some how managed to hang on to that information ever since.  However when Lori Puentes (40, yes 40) of Ridge Manor, FL needed to call the Hernando County sheriff’s office to summon help for her unconscious 12-year-old son darn it all she just couldn’t remember where she lived.

It seems Anna Nicole Smith for less up there had just refilled her “prescriptions” and was missing 158 pills so she was a little, shall we say, out of it when her son’s teenage friend woke her to tell her that her son was unconscious and coughing up an orange substance.  While the 911 operator tried desperately to get her to tell him where she lived and she just kept saying “Umm, I, uh, I don’t know” and “I’m sorry, I don’t… I don’t know what, what’s wrong.”  I’ll tell you what’s wrong you worthless cow, you’re a fucking lazy drug addict who can’t take care of her kid!  A second operator came on the line and heard someone else talking in the background and asked Puentes four times to put the other person on the phone but she never responded to the requests.  She finally muttered that she lived on Cornerstone Drive which is close but she actually lives on Hardstone drive.  Let’s give credit where credit is due – she got it half right.  Good job honey – you keep at it!

The teenage friend finally called 911 himself since Puentes was not giving him the phone and got help for his friend.  They were able to find him and get him to the hospital where he was treated for an overdose.  Turns out the boy had found his mom’s stash in a pile of clothes and took three Xanax, two Somas and one pill he didn’t recognize. Is anyone else disturbed that a 12-year-old not only knew what Xanax and Soma look like and had no qualms about taking them but also just went on ahead a popped another pill even though he had no idea what it was?  He also told police he smokes pot pretty much every other day and mostly at home.  Did I mention the house was in “deplorable” condition?  They found a dozen prescription bottles among nearly 100 empty soda cans, piles of dirty dishes, an uncovered ham decaying in the fridge, pinkish-green mold thick enough to scrape off working it’s way about 2-feet up the wall near the boy’s room and of course, the requisite dog crap on the furniture and floor.

Puentes has been arrested on charges of child neglect and her son is staying with a relative.  I hope this was a cry for help and his cries will be answered by a responsible adult who will help him to see he’s headed down the same dangerous path as his mother.

Ky. Breeders plead guilty to OD death of daughter

Some folks'll never lose a toe then there's some folk'll

Couple sentenced in toddler’s death:

Ma and Pa Kettle over there are Carrie E. Brummett, 38, and Rondall J. Mosley, 43, both of Kentucky. That’s pretty rough looking for 38. She looks almost twice that. Anyway the pair were arrested back in March for the accidental overdose death of their daughter, 2-year-old Kayla Elizabeth Mosley.

Police believe that the child somehow gained access to and ingested prescription pills.

I’m guessing the prescription wasn’t for antibiotics.

Both have pleaded guilty and have been sentenced to 8 to 10 years.

I know I’ve been picking on a lot of different states lately, mostly WV, but it seems that Kentucky is too frequent of a state here on BB. From some friends of mine that grew up in Kentucky it seems that denizens like Brummett and Mosely are not too out of the ordinary.

Thanks to Bridgette for the tip.

Coach Phallus believe a BB gun is a motivational tool

Deputies: Man accused of using BB gun to force teen to exercise in blistering heat

Report: Dad Accused Of BB Gun Sprints Hospitalized

 Haaaaaahaaaaaaahaaaaaa *breath* haaaaahaaaaaaahaaaaaa

Sorry.  I can’t look at that picture without cracking the fuck up.  What the Hell?  I know I’m gonna get bashed for pointing out the obvious, but does that fucktard look like a penis to anyone else but me?  Sheesh.

Anyway, Dickhead (DH for short) there is 41-year-old Robert Lynn Barker of Leesburg, FL.  DH is one of the football dad’s that we all want to strangle.  You know the ones – trying to live vicariously through there teenager in hopes to mold them into the jock they wanted to be.  DH must have REALLY wanted his 13-year-old stepson to be one hell of a football player.  After the teen became ill at a football game, DH “allegedly” told the teen that he was in need of more conditioning.  He set up cones in the yard and ordered the boy to run sprints (while wearing full football gear) in sweltering heat while firing a BB gun into the air.  Talk about motivation.

While DH never pointed the gun at the boy, he was frightened enough to comply.  Luckily a neighbor was concerned enough to call the police.  I love it when someone has the ‘nads to do the right thing.  Most people won’t interfere.

Barker was arrested on child-abuse and aggravated assault with a weapon charges.  He bonded out the following evening.  Later that week, he was rushed to the hospital for an apparent overdose.  I think instead of treating him, they should have hauled his cookies outside and made him run sprints while firing a BB gun at his two-toned head.

Thanks go to Marcy for this one.  Again, sorry it took me two weeks to get to this one.

Pa. man OD’d son on methadone

Toddler dies of overdose, dad jailed:

On March 17th a 911 call was received by authorities in Charlestown Township, Penn. As too usual in these cases a child was unresponsive. I’m really beginning to hate the word ‘unresponsive’ but I digress. The 23-month-old son of Ian Joseph Kohn was the one who was unresponsive. He was pronounced deat at the hospital.

Police searched the house and found syringes in methadone in the room that Kohn and the baby shared. An autopsy revealed that the baby died from a methadone OD.

Investigators say Kohn mixed methadone and, sometimes, sleeping pills in the child’s bottle with Gatorade and gave it to his son to drink.

Although the article doesn’t say why Kohn allegedly gave the methadone to his son I would lay odds that it was either because the child cried, wouldn’t go to sleep or both.

In case you’re wondering where the baby mama was she was already in jail on unrelated charges.

Thanks to LadyJade for the tip.
